Patience

I am weary of
my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my
God.
Things don't
always happen the way we wish they would. God hears all the prayers
of His people, rest assured of that, but the reasons as to why they
are not all answered the way we wish, is manifold.
Perseverance of
faith, trust, belief, etc. etc. The Apostle Paul tells us....
Hebrews 10:36 KJV
For ye have
need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might
receive the promise.
God is never
rushed, and our God surely seeks to have His people learn patience!
(Just a few
examples.)
*) The Jews waited
in Egypt, under slavery, some 430 years, before Moses was sent.
(Exodus 12:40).
*) The Jews once
delivered from Egypt, had to wait another 40 years before entering
the promised land. (Deuteronomy 29:5)
*) God kept Moses
waiting in the Midian desert for 40 years, before he was sent to lead
the people of God.
*) Joseph
languished in prison for years.
*) Abraham prayed
for a son till he was 100 years old.
*) Though David
was anointed King, he was on the run for 15 years, before he came to
the throne.
*) The first
mention of a Messiah in Genesis 3:15, until The Messiah's birth were
some four millenniums.
