Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's-The Two Debtors

Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's.
Parable: The Two Debtors (Luke 7:40-43.)

Luke 7:36-50 KJV
36 And one of the Pharisees desired Him that He would eat with him. And He went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed His feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden Him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth Him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And He said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And He turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest Me no water for My feet: but she hath washed My feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest Me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss My feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed My feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And He said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with Him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And He said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

A common denominator runs through the story of the debtors, from he who owed little to he who owed much, they had no way to pay their debt.

How like the helplessness of mankind, lost in sin.

Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Galatians 2:16 KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Romans 11:6 KJV
And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.

Titus 3:5 KJV
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Hebrews 10:6 KJV
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

The Pharisee was to see that “self-righteousness,” is the same as no righteousness.
The woman at Jesus' feet, was not “saved,” by her works of love, but rather, because she was forgiven, she, “loved much.”

Matthew 21:31,32 KJV
"...Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him."

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Isaiah 1:18 KJV
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Romans 3:24,28 KJV
24 Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Bible Lesson: Symbols Of Christ And His People

Bible Lesson: Symbols Of Christ And His people:

1.) A Branch:
Symbol of Christ:

Isaiah 4:2 KJV
In that day shall the Branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

Isaiah 11:1-4 KJV
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make Him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears:
4 But with righteousness shall He judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and He shall smite the earth: with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips shall He slay the wicked.

Zechariah 3:8 KJV
Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth My servant the BRANCH.

Zechariah 6:12,13 KJV
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and He shall grow up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of the LORD:
13 Even He shall build the temple of the LORD; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and He shall be a Priest upon His throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Hebrews 3:1-4 KJV
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 For every house is builded by some man; but He that built all things is God.

Jeremiah 23:5 KJV
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Jeremiah 33:15,16 KJV
15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

* Symbol of the people of God:

Isaiah 60:21 KJV
Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

John 9:5 KJV
As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.

I John 1:5 KJV
This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

* Symbol of the people of God:

Proverbs 4:18 KJV
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Isaiah 42:6 KJV
I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

Matthew 5:14 KJV
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Acts 13:47 KJV
For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Ephesians 5:8 KJV
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Philippians 2:15 KJV
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

3.) A Star:

Symbol for Christ:

Numbers 24:17 KJV
I shall see Him, but not now: I shall behold Him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

II Peter 1:19 KJV
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the Day Star arise in your hearts:

Revelation 22:16 KJV
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

* Symbol of the people of God:

Daniel 12:1-3 KJV
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

4.) A Stone:

Symbol of Christ:

Psalm 118:22 KJV
The Stone which the builders refused is become the Head Stone of the Corner.

Matthew 21:42 KJV

Ephesians 2:20 KJV
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Corner Stone;

I Peter 2:4,6,7,8 KJV
4 To whom coming, as unto a Living Stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a Chief Corner Stone, Elect, Precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe He is Precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the Stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the Head of the Corner,
8 And a Stone of stumbling, and a Rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

* Symbol of the people of God:

Ephesians 2:21,22 KJV
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

I Peter 2:5 KJV
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Malachi 4:2 KJV
But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

6.) A Temple:

Symbol of Christ:

John 2:19-21 KJV
19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21But He spake of the temple of His body.

Revelation 21:22 KVJ
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

* Symbol of the people of God:

I Corinthians 3:16,17 KJV

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's: The Pharisee And The Publican

Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's
Parable: The Pharisee And The Publican.

Luke 18:10-14 KJV
9 And He spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luke 18:9-14 NLT
9 Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else:
10 “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector!
12 I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’
14 I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

This is the story of two men who went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee, and the other a Publican.

Pharisee: Greek-Pharisaios (far-is-ah-yos): Exclusively religious, Jewish secretary.
(Abingdon/Strong)

They were not only keepers of the law, but keepers of the oral traditions of the law, which were numerous.
The were men of spiritual show full of self piety. Their righteousness, was based on keeping the “jot and tittle of the law.”

The Pharisee, boasted..
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Christ referred to Pharisee's as a brood of snakes...
Matthew 3:7 KJV
But when He saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to His baptism, He said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

And again..
Matthew 15:8,9 KJV
8 This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoureth Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me.
9 But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 6:1-5 KJV
1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Read of the “Pride,” of Satan.
Satan

Pride:
Proverbs 16:18 KJV
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

I John 2:16,17 KJV
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The Self-Righteous:
Proverbs 12:15 KJV
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Proverbs 30:12 KJV
There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

II Corinthians 10:12 NLT
Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!

Job 9:20 KJV
If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

I John 1:8 KJV
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Publican: Greek-Telones (tel-o-nace): A tax-farmer/ a collector of public revenue.
(Abingdon/Strong)

A tax collector, of Roman revenue, of whom many were dishonest.
Overcharging, with fraudulent claims, a tax collector considered the lowest of all trades.

Deuteronomy 25:13-16 NLT
13 “You must use accurate scales when you weigh out merchandise,
14 and you must use full and honest measures.
15 Yes, always use honest weights and measures, so that you may enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
16 All who cheat with dishonest weights and measures are detestable to the Lord your God.

Proverbs 21:6 NLT
Wealth created by a lying tongue is a vanishing mist and a deadly trap.

The Publican of Luke 18, came to the temple in humility, and confession.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I (Jesus) tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Humility:
Proverbs 22:4 KJV
By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

Isaiah 57:15 KJV
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Matthew 18:4 KJV
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

James 4:10 KJV
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
28 Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Conclusion:

Both the Pharisee, and the Publican went up to the temple to pray.

The Pharisee tried his best to “convince,” God, of how great he was, and what he accomplished was nothing.

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5 KJV
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done..."

Hebrews 10:6 KJV
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

The prayer of the publican was heard.
He...
Bowed his head, as being unworthy to even raise it, to speak to God.
Begged Almighty God for His mercy,
Proclaimed himself a sinner.

Luke 18:14 KJV
I (Jesus) tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Philippians 2:5-11 KJV
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Bible Questions Answered: Duties To Elected Officials

Bible Questions Answered:
I have a question, we have some elected officials, that I think are wrong in what they do, as a Christian, what is our call, regarding these people?
Jerome/ Sarasota, Florida

Bible Answers:
As Christian people we do have responsibility to elected officials:

New Testament, Christian duties to elected officials:

1) It is the Christian's responsibility to “pray, and give, thanks,” for them!

Dear Christian, are there elected people in government, who you think are not right, in their thinking and judgments?
And do you pray, and give thanks for them on a regular basis, be honest!
It is the “duty, “ of every Christian to pray, and give thanks, for those who over see our government.
How can there ever be righteous government, if we do not pray with all earnestness for our elected leaders, and again, if we do not act as Christians before the world, giving “thanks” for them?

I Timothy 2:1-4 KJV
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

I Timothy 2:1-4 NLT
1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
3 This is good and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

This is where many go astray from the Word of God, voting to protect their wallets, they despise officials, who require them to pay their fair share of tax.
This simply should not be so among Godly people, sin, lies at the door!

2) The Word of the Lord, tells us to honor those who are in authority.

I Peter 2:17 KJV
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

I Peter 2:17 NLT
Respect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God, and respect the king.

We are to, “obey, “ those who are in authority. Criminals, refuse to obey, criminals, refuse to respect and honor those in authority, far be that from God's people.
Either we believe the Word of the Lord in “part,” or we believe it not in the, “whole”.

3) Ruling authorities have been placed, maybe not by you, but by....”Almighty God.”

These ruling authorities, will either bless us as a Godly people, or they will be our curse, because we as a whole are not a Godly nation.

Romans 13:1-7 KJV
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Romans 13:1-7 NLT
1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.
3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.
4 The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.
5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.
6 Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.
7 Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.

4) We are to support (taxes) our government (local and federal) and it's rulers.

Many wealthy, super rich, and super smart, have relegated the paying of taxes, for the building of roads, schools and hospitals, etc. to the less than wealthy.
Off shore, and Swiss, bank accounts, have protected their wealth, but this is what God's word says.

Matthew 24:17-27 KJV
24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
26 Peter saith unto Him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for Me and thee.

Matthew 17:24-27 NLT
24 On their arrival in Capernaum, the collectors of the Temple tax came to Peter and asked him, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the Temple tax?”
25 “Yes, He does,” Peter replied. Then he went into the house. But before he had a chance to speak, Jesus asked him, “What do you think, Peter? Do kings tax their own people or the people they have conquered?”
26 “They tax the people they have conquered,” Peter replied.“Well, then,” Jesus said, “the citizens are free!
27 However, we don’t want to offend them, so go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us.”

The Apostle Paul told the Philippian believers, that a Christian's life is to be one of consecration, the best witness to the world!

Philippians 3:20 NLT
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior.

Parable: The Net Cast Into The Sea:

Matthew 13:47-50 KJV
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

The Prophet Habakkuk, likened the people of God, as unto fish, and their being captured by their enemies, as being in their net (drag/seine*).

*Seine:
A large fishing net with floats along the top edge and weights along the bottom.

Habakkuk 1:12-17 KJV
12 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
14 And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
17 Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?

Habakkuk 1:12-17 NLT
12 O Lord my God, my Holy One, you who are eternal— surely you do not plan to wipe us out?
O Lord, our Rock, you have sent these Babylonians to correct us, to punish us for our many sins.
13 But you are pure and cannot stand the sight of evil. Will you wink at their treachery?
Should you be silent while the wicked swallow up people more righteous than they?
14 Are we only fish to be caught and killed? Are we only sea creatures that have no leader?
15 Must we be strung up on their hooks and caught in their nets while they rejoice and celebrate?
16 Then they will worship their nets and burn incense in front of them. “These nets are the gods who have made us rich!” they will claim.
17 Will you let them get away with this forever? Will they succeed forever in their heartless conquests?

The net, in our Lord's parable, that gathers the fish in is the church.

This parable, like the parable of the wheat and the tares, both, the good and the bad, exist together.
Matthew 13;47 KJV
“... a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:”

Again, as the parable of the wheat and the tares, the presence of the tares among the wheat, is the work of an enemy.
Matthew 13:25 KJV
"...his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat..."

Can the church, the very institution which is to proclaim the birth, life, death, and resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus, be an harbinger of evil?

Preamble:
Matthew 7:15-20 KJV
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Declaration:
Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Can there be a church, which stands and shouts “Lord, Lord,” that is an evil church?
Can there be a church which is Charismatic, given to prophecy, that is an evil church?
Can there be a church which performs exorcisms, that is an evil church?
Can there be a church which performs wonderful works for the community, displaying profound religious pageantry with choir and orchestral marvel, and be a church that is evil?

Jesus Christ, said, “Yes.”
Much, much more than yes, He emphatically stated...
Matthew 7:23 KJV “... I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.”

People, churches that call them selves, “Christian,” “Workers of Iniquity?”
Yes, says Jesus.

Friend, we had better be sure the church we are in, is a “Bible believing, Bible teaching, Word of God, Loving, Church,” or we're in trouble, big, spiritual trouble.

Wheat among the tares, growing so ever lovingly.
Unclean, fish, among the choice ones.
Lost, among the so called gathering of “Christian,” people?
Yes.

Matthew 7:21 KJV Jesus Christ
Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.

Religious comradery, rituals, celestial music, however grand, baptisms, confirmations, communions, memberships, “do not,” admit anyone to heaven.

Acts 4:10-12 KJV
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead...
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 3:14-21 KJV
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 6:68 KJV
Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

John 8:24 KJV
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.

I Corinthians 3:11 KJV
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Would men, under the guise of “Christian,” rather give money, partake of baptisms, communions, rituals without end, instead of bowing to the Lord Jesus Christ, and taking Him as their Lord (master), and Saviour?
Yes!

And would there be a church or churches, that would condone such wicked ambition?
Yes!

Workers of iniquity? Yes, and perhaps worse so than any others, because they deceive, they lull men to thinking that they are spiritually OK, when the truth is they are lost.

Would many prefer to be self-deceived?
Yes!

A religion that requires no kneeling, no confessing, no transformation, no commitment, no tears of repentance, is evilly very much present in these last days.

II Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial (The Devil)? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Warning!
A great day of separation awaits.
Soon the Lord Jesus will,”secretly,” catch away His bride (I Corinthians 15:51-58/ I Thessalonians 4:013-18).
After the tribulation, Christ will again separate His sheep from the goats (Second Advent-Matthew 25:31-46).

Friend, have you given your heart and life to the Saviour?
Do not delay, His coming is near.

Bible Questions Answered: Beatitudes Of Revelation

Bible Questions Answered:
What are the beatitudes of Revelation?
Henry/ Mt. Zion, Illinois

Beatitudes of Revelation:

Blessed: Greek-Makarios (Mak-ar-ee-os): Fortunate, well, blessed, happy.

1) Beatitude, Revelation 1:3 KJV
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

John 6:32-58 KJV
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that Bread from heaven; but My Father giveth you the true Bread from heaven.
33 For the Bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this Bread.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen Me, and believe not.
37 All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do Mine own will, but the will of Him that sent Me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent Me, that of all which He hath given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41 The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, I am the Bread which came down from heaven.
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that He saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto Me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save He which is of God, He hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that Bread of Life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the Bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the Living Bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever: and the Bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us His flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, dwelleth in Me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth Me, even he shall live by Me.
58 This is that Bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this Bread shall live for ever.

Matthew 4:4 KJV
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Luke 11:28 KJV
But He said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

2) Beatitude, Revelation 14:13 KJV
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Exodus 33:14 KJV
And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Psalm 23:2 KJV
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.

Isaiah 28:12 KJV
"...He said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing..."

Matthew 11:29 KJV
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Hebrews 4:3,9 KJV
3"For only we who believe can enter His rest..."
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

3) Beatitude, Revelation 16:15 KJV
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

The Jewish temple was surrounded by temple guards. They were warned at night time, not to fall asleep. Often at night a temple officer, would check on his guards, if he found one asleep he would do one of two things, one remove some of the sleeping guards tunic, and come morning ask why he was missing it, when no explanation could be given, it would be explained to him, that he had fallen asleep on his post. Another option of the temple officer when finding a sleeping guard, would be to set his garments, both examples would leave in utter disgrace.

This example, given to us by the Lord, warns us, in our day, not to fall asleep, but to be diligent in our duties as Christians.

Matthew 24:42-51 KJV
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke 21:34-36 KJV
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Matthew 26:41 KJV
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 13:32-37 KJV
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left His house, and gave authority to His servants, and to every man His work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

I Corinthians 16:13 KJV
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

I Thessalonians 5:6 KJV
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

I Peter 4:7 KJV
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Revelation 12:11 KJV
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

4) Beatitude, Revelation 19:9 KJV
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Matthew 22:1-14 KJV
1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Revelation 3:20 NLT
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

Revelation 19:7 KJV
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 21:2 KJV
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

5) Beatitude, Revelation 20:6 KJV
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:4-6 NLT
4 Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their forehead or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 This is the first resurrection. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.)
6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him a thousand years.

At the beginning of the millennium, will be the resurrection of those who during the tribulation have been martyred for their faith, Jew, and Gentile.
They refused the mark of the Anti-Christ, and his False Prophet, and were killed because of it.

Revelation 12:11 KJV
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Now they rule and reign with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus.
They with the bride of Christ, have become the priests of the Lord.

The Church of Jesus Christ, experienced, Christ's resurrection power before the tribulation in what has become to be called the rapture of the church.

I Corinthians 15:51-58 KJV
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 NLT
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died.
16 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
18 So encourage each other with these words.

A Kingdom of Priests:

I Peter 2:5,9 KJV
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

Revelation 1:6 KJV
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 KJV
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

In the garden of Eden, man was forever banned from the tree of life.
Through the second Adam, the tree of life is restored to, born again, man.

Revelation 2:7 KJV
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:14 KJV
"Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life..."

Through Adam, man was forever banned from Eden, through Christ man is invited through the gates of heavenly Eden, the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 22:14 KJV
Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Revelation 21:1-27 KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Banned from Eden's rivers, now through the second Adam, the redeemed have access to the river of life.

Revelation 22:17 KJV
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Heavens blessings are for His cleansed people.

Psalm 51:1-17 NLT
1 Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins.
2 Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.
3 For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night.
4 Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight.
You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just.
5 For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.
6 But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there.
7 Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me— now let me rejoice.
9 Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.
11 Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.
13 Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you.
14 Forgive me..., O God who saves; then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness.
15 Unseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you.
16 You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

I Corinthians 6:9-11 NLT
9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,
10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Revelation 1:5,6 KJV
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, and the First Begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Bible Questions Answered: Lake Of Fire

Bible Questions Answered:
What do we know about the lake of fire?
Karen/ Fayette, Missouri

Bible Answers:

Isaiah 13:42 KJV
“..a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Isaiah 66:23,24 KJV
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against Me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Matthew 3:12 KJV
Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Matthew 8:12 KJV
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13:41,42 KJV
41 The Son of Man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:41 KJV
Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matthew 25:46 KJV
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Mark 9:43-48 KJV
Jesus is speaking metaphorically, figuratively, of a spiritual condition, governed by the heart of man.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Revelation 14:9-11 KJV
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Revelation 19:20 KJV
And the beast (The Anti-Christ.) was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone (Sulfur).

(This takes place after the battle of Armageddon, before the Millennium.)

After the Millennium, Satan, himself, is cast into the Lake of Fire.
Is hell, or the Lake of Fire a place of annihilation?
Absolute not.
After being in the lake of fire for one thousand years, Satan, joins the Anti-Christ, and False Prophet, they have not, been annihilated, but have been in torment.

Revelation 20:6-15 KJV
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

In verse 14 (above), we see that the Lake of Fire and Hell, are not one of the same. True, they are the same in nature.
One (hell), is poured into the other (Lake of Fire).
The vicinity of hell is always considered, down (John 8:23), at the center of the earth, while the lake of fire may very well have no fixed location “wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever” Jude 7:13 KJV, “outer darkness: Matthew 8:12 KJV.
The Lake of Fire is called “The Second Death,” eternal damnation.

II Thessalonians 1:7-9 KJV
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power;

Jude 7,8; 10-13 KJV
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Revelation 21:8 KJV
“But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

The precious Lord Jesus, God only eternal Son, came and took your place in judgment so that you would never have to go to the lake of fire.
Receive Him today as your Saviour.
