Bible Lesson: Miracles Of Jesus: Ten Lepers Healed.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of Jesus: Ten Lepers Healed.

Bible Location: Borders of Samaria.

Bible Text: Luke 17:11-19 KJV
11 And it came to pass, as He went to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when He saw them, He said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on His face at his feet, giving Him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And He said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Luke 17:11,12 KJV
11 And it came to pass, as He went to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as He entered into a certain village...

Matthew 4:1 KJV (Temptation of Christ.)
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit...

Because the Lord Jesus was “led by the Spirit,” He always was looking for a people, a village to announce the Good News!

As a Christian, is that your custom too?

Luke 17:12 KJV
"... there met Him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

Leprosy: A progressive infectious disease caused by a bacterium that attacks the skin, flesh, nerves, etc; it is characterized by nodules, ulcers, white scaly scabs, deformities, and the eventual loss of sensation, and is apparently communicated only after long and close contact.
(New World Dictionary)

These ten men, dare not to approach Jesus or anyone else, because of the extreme communicable nature of their disease.

Luke 17:13 KJV
And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

These men in their great “need,” hollered out to Jesus in unison, “Master, have mercy on us.”

These Ten Men, Had:
Unity in Need.
Unity in Voice
Unity in Action.

Many times only tragedy, brings such unity.
And that is so, only because of the hardness of mans heart.

Jesus was their means of “last-restort.”
They, no doubt had heard of Him, and His exploits.
And they had “faith,” that if anyone could help them, it would be Him.

Luke 17:14 KJV
And when He saw them, He said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests...”

The priest was the one to pronounce one sick or well, clean or unclean.
The men in an act of “obedience,” left to go to the priest.

Luke 17:14 KJV
“...And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”

And as they went to show themselves to the priest, “they were cleansed.”

The Lord Our Healer:

Exodus 15:26 KJV
"...I am the LORD that healeth thee."

Psalm 103:2,3 KJV
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Isaiah 53:5 KJV (Prophecy concerning Christ.)
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

Luke 4:18 KJV (Isaiah 61:1, Prophecy concerning Christ.)
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 17:15:16 KJV
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

The Samaritans were a mixed race, and so the Jews, wished noting to do with them.
And yet this healed Samaritan, who showed thanks, was not as the others.

The Samaritan's Gratitude:
He went out of his way and , “turned back,” now he could approach Jesus.
He was not timid or quiet about his thanksgiving, “and with a loud voice glorified God.”
He was not ashamed to “fall down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks.”

As a Christian, is that your custom too?

Psalm 33:8 KJV
Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

Psalm 89:7 KJV
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him.

Isaiah 8:13 KJV
Sanctify the LORD of hosts Himself; and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.

Luke 1:50 KJV
And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation.

Luke 17:17-19 KJV
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And He said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Ten lepers had been healed, but only one, a Samaritan, had returned to give thanks and worship.
Having once been a leper (a type of sin), this man was not so “conservative, as to not put his face on the ground, in worship of the living God.

The other nine, called upon Jesus for their healing, but in reality, they cherished health more than the Lord.

As a Christian, is thankfulness the custom of your life?

Psalm 92:1 KJV
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, of Most High.

Psalm 100:4 KJV
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.

Psalm 107:22 KJV
And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.

Ephesians 5:20 KJV
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Colossians 3:17 KJV
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

I Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

The nine lepers, will be forever forgotten, but one man a Samaritan (For the most part, and outcast.), will be forever remembered. Because he not only was healed and thankful, but returned in worship of the Lord of glory.

So many times our words are louder than our actions. Having read this dear Bible encounter of Jesus, may our actions do all the talking.

Matthew 7:19,20 KJV
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Bible Questions Answered: Suicide.

Bible Questions Answered:
Pastor, I read recently that a person can order on the internet something called a suicide kit. Have you heard this? I don't know what verses to give my Sunday school, but I know we were always taught as kids, this is wrong! And there is now assisted suicide, legal in two states.
Helen/ Chicago, Illinois U.S.A.

Bible Answer:
Yes, certainly this is terrible thing!

First of all, it is in direct contradiction to the sixth commandment.
Exodus 20:13 KJV
Thou shalt not kill.

Suicide is, “self-murder.”
Hebrew 10:31 KJV
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

When a person, for no matter what the reason, commits suicide, he or she, is telling God, when their life should end. Not asking God, but dictating to Him, “this is the end of my life!”

This also shows that some do not believe in God, or in a life after death.
But the Word of God tells us...
Hebrews 9:27 KJV
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Our Saviour, the Lord Jesus, told the penitent thief on a cross near Him, …
Luke 23:43 KJV
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with Me in paradise. (Please note, He did not say-Purgatory!)

Jesus spent much of His ministry speaking of the next life.
(For e.g. Luke 16:19-31 KJV- again, no mention of purgatory!)

“Pastor, what about those suffering from ill health, who want to end their life?”
David, said it best, when he said...
Psalm 31:14,15 NLT
14 But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!”
15 My future is in your hands..."

Psalm 37:23 KJV
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way.

We must leave every moment of life, to the Lord!

Psalm 145:17 KJV
The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

Isaiah 55:8,9 KJV
8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Romans 11:33,34 KJV
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His counselor?

Another reason why this is sin against God, is the simple fact that suicide is an act of destruction!
One title of mankind's enemy is that of “Destroyer.”

Jeremiah 4:7 KJV
The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

I Corinthians 10:10 KJV
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

When we use the tools of the enemy, we became, his servant.

Bible Questions Answered: Christ-Created?

Bible Questions Answered:
I've been introduced to some folks who believe that Christ was God's first creation and they use the Bible. Is this ok?
Roberta/ Phoenix, Arizona U.S.A.

Bible Answer:
Absolutely not!

Bible Text:
Revelation 3:14 KJV
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

No doubt a verse such as the given above has been used.
Here is this same verse from the “Amplified Bible.”

Revelation 3:14 AMP
And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the Trusty and Faithful and True Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God's creation:

My, how clear this becomes! Christ, is not the beginning of God's creation/ rather Christ is the “Origin, the “Author,” of God's creation!

Friends, there are hosts of bibles in the land today, the “last-day,” scheme of the evil one.
Cults print bibles to wrest the scripture into their cultist beliefs!
Beware of different translations.
All cultists will claim there Bible version, has been taken from the original, but doctrinal men translate scripture according to the dictates of their own hearts. And if those dictates be anything but truthful, reader beware.

Revelation 22:18,19 KJV
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Foreigners traveling into our country from third world countries often ask the question, “Why do you have so many different kind of churches here?”

Yes, why indeed?
They all have men with doctorates, all have a Bible they use, and they all differ in beliefs the one from the other.
What is one to do?
How can one tell the truth?

The answer is simple and yet complex. The truth is we must “never,” relegate our brain, our thinking to others!
We, must be the searchers of truth! We, must know God's plan of salvation for ourselves.
We, must ourselves, search the scriptures to see if those things are so.

Acts 17:11 KJV (Paul said of the Christians at Berea.)
"...they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

John 16:13
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.

1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.

Christ is the “Origin, the Author of creation.”

Colossians 1:15 KJV
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn* of every creature:
16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17 And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

*Firstborn-Greek-Prototokos (Pro-tot-ok-os): First-born ("Not," first-created!)
(Abingdon/Strong Concordance of the Bible.)

First-born, among the Jews, meant position or rank, e.g. first-born was the father's heir.

Hebrews 1:1,2 KJV
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;

Colossians 1:15-17 NLT
15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
16 for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him.
17 He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together.

One group, has inserted the word “other,” in these verses, four times, to make it appear, that Christ Himself, has been created. They will answer one day to God.

Christ is eternal, He existed “before all things,” (verse 17 KJV).

Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Who would dare say this is not speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Notice the descriptions of Christ:
Child
Son
Wonderful
Counselor
The Mighty God
The “Everlasting Father.”
The Prince of Peace.

What does everlasting mean?
Everlasting: Never coming to an end. Lasting forever; eternal, eternity.
(New World Dictionary)

Micah 5:2 KJV
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Who would dare say this is not speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ?
What does this verse say of Christ?
He would come from Bethlehem.
He would be a ruler in Israel.
His goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

What does everlasting mean?
Everlasting: Never coming to an end. Lasting forever; eternal, eternity.

Bible Questions Answered: Babel-Disobedience.

Bible Questions Answered:
I don't see why a God of the universe would strike people who were energetic and unified in their work together, as he did at the tower of Babel. And if that's the case, what about all the building and working today, should that be struck too?
Ediberto/ San Diego, California U.S.A.

Bible Text:
Genesis 10:25 NLT
Eber had two sons. The first was named Peleg (which means “division”), for during his lifetime the people of the world were divided into different language groups. His brother’s name was Joktan.

Bible Answer:
It was in the time of one Peleg, some five generations after Noah, that as the inhabitants came from the east, they came to the land of Shinar (Mesopotamia-Babylonia-what we know today as Iraq). It was in the land of Shinar, that Nimrod the mighty hunter lived.

Archeology tells us, it was here the people learned to make bricks and to cement them together with bitumen, found in pits of tar, common in oil rich areas.

Under the guidance of Nimrod...

Genesis 11:3,4 NLT
3 They began saying to each other, “Let’s make bricks and harden them with fire.” (In this region bricks were used instead of stone, and tar was used for mortar.)
4 Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”

Was God against unity, and a people with one main purpose?
Yes, and would He be today?

Yes, if like Nimrod's followers, a people have in their heart, disobedience to the living God.
And these people were in absolute disobedience.

What was their purpose?
Verse :4

TO BE FAMOUS:
Pride of workmanship, does not of necessity bring God's blessings.
This the generations of Noah, knew!

Genesis 4:3-7 KJV
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door..."

TO BE SETTLED, NO MORE TO WANDER.
This was an act of disobedience to God's command...

Genesis 9:1 KJV
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

THEY MAY HAVE BUILT THE TOWER, IN FEAR OF ANOTHER FLOOD.
Which was an act of disobedience to God's covenant-promise to them.)

Genesis 9:8-17 KJV
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish My covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

Unity of purpose and industry, are blessed if, and only if a people's heart, mind and soul are given unto the Lord.

Such was “not,” the case of the inhabitants of Shinar.
And so the God of all creation, put an end to their disobedience, “not to them, as a people,” but to their disobedience!

Genesis 11:5-9 KJV
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let US go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Was the Lord, right in doing this?
Yes!

Psalm 18:30 KJV
As for God, His way is perfect..."

Psalm 145:17 KJV
The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

And what of our day?

Malachi 3:6 KJV
For I am the LORD, I change not..."

God does not change, if we as a people, forget the words of our God, acting in open rebellion, we too will see judgment.

I Samuel 2:3 KJV
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.

Psalm 12:3,4 KJV
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

Proverbs 8:13 KJV
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Isaiah 13:11 KJV
And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Bible Questions Answered: Man Of Sin Revealed.

Bible Questions Answered:
Paul said that the man of sin be revealed, what was he saying here?
Leandro/ Rome, Italy

Bible Text:
II Thessalonians 2:1-4; 8-10 KJV
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Bible Answer:
The Apostle Paul was here speaking about the coming of the Anti-Christ.

Paul called him the Son of Perdition* (verse 3).

*Perdition-Greek-Apoleia (Ap-o'-li-a): Ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal), damnable, destruction, die, perdition x perish, pernicious ways, waste.
(Abingdon/Strong-Concordance of the Bible.)

II Thessalonians 2:4,9,10 KJV
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Jesus spoke of a coming time of great temptation and persecution.

Matthew 24:20-25 KJV
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.

Our Lord gave (Daniel and) John a description of this coming deceiver, this false Christ.

Revelation 13:1-10 KJV (See Daniel 7:)
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

To appear to all, that he is the Christ, this deceiver may in fact die and rise from the dead (see verse 3).
For those who have refused the Way, the Truth and the Life, the Lord Jesus Christ....

II Thessalonians 2:11,12 KJV
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

When will this man of lawlessness, this deceiver, be revealed?
Not until the church of Jesus Christ, has been raptured from the earth.

II Thessalonians 2:5-7 NLT
5 Don’t you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you?
6 And you know what (“Who”, verse 7) is holding him (The Ant-Christ) back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes.
7 For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one (God the Holy Spirit) who is holding it (him) back steps out of the way.
8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed...

Prayer Request: Jude

Prayer Request:

I am a Christian, with brothers and sisters who do not know the Lord. Please pray that they will come to find the Lord Jesus as their Savior
Jude/ St. Joseph, Missouri U.S.A.

John 4:34-36 KJV
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

Christians, there is work to do in the fields, for the Lord of the harvest. Yes, our loved ones, and all who do not know the Saviour.

Matthew 5:14-16 KJV
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:32,33 KJV
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

Romans 10:10,11 KJV
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

II Timothy 4:5 KJV
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

I John 4:15 KJV
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Friends, let's get busy witnessing for the Lord, the fields are white unto harvest.

Witnessing Scriptures:

God Loves You!

John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 10:10 KJV

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of Jesus: Man Healed Of Dropsy.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of Jesus: Man Healed Of Dropsy.

Bible Location: Galilee.

Bible Text: Luke 14:1-6 NLT
1 One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching Him closely.
2 There was a man there whose arms and legs were swollen.
3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in religious law, “Is it permitted in the law to heal people on the Sabbath day, or not?”
4 When they refused to answer, Jesus touched the sick man and healed him and sent him away.
5 Then He turned to them and said, “Which of you doesn’t work on the Sabbath? If your son or your cow falls into a pit, don’t you rush to get him out?”
6 Again they could not answer.

Luke 14:1 NLT
One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching Him closely.

Jesus had been invited to the home of leader of the Pharisees. This was not an invitation out of love and respect, this was an invitation of entrapment. The Pharisees, longed to ensnare Jesus.

Luke 11:53,54 KJV
53 And as He said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge Him vehemently, and to provoke Him to speak of many things:
54 Laying wait for Him, and seeking to catch something out of His mouth, that they might accuse Him.

Luke 14:2 NLT
There was a man there whose arms and legs were swollen.

Edema: An abnormal accumulation of fluid in cells, tissues, or cavities of the body, resulting in swelling. (New World Dictionary)

Luke 14:3,4 NLT
3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in religious law, “Is it permitted in the law to heal people on the Sabbath day, or not?”
4 When they refused to answer, Jesus touched the sick man and healed him and sent him away.

Jesus, could do, what the Pharisees, could not. One touch from Jesus, and the sick man, was well.
Jesus addressed the character of the scribes and Pharisees in ….

Matthew 23:1-39 KJV
1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to His disciples,
2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by Him that sitteth thereon.
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Luke 14:5,6 NLT
5 Then He turned to them and said, “Which of you doesn’t work on the Sabbath? If your son or your cow falls into a pit, don’t you rush to get him out?”
6 Again they could not answer.

Mark 2:27 KJV
And He said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Psalm 145:17 KJV
The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

If you are sick, you may listen to all the voices of the naysayers, or by faith call on the Lord, for His healing.

Exodus 15:16 KJV
“...for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Machi 3:6 KJV
For I am the LORD, I change not...

Isaiah 53:4,5 KJV
4 Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

Jeremiah 30:17 KJV
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD...

Matthew 10:1 KJV
And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Mark 3:14,15 KJV
14 And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach,
15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

Mark 16:18 KJV
"...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

I Corinthians 12:9 KJV
"...to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;"

Bible Questions Answered: Judge-To

Bible Questions Answered:
Here are two scriptures that say the opposite things.
Luke 6:37 and I Corinthians 2:14-15 which one are we to believe?
Carrey/ Ft. Worth, Texas U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Luke 6:37 KJV
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

I Corinthians 2:14-15 KJV
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

When we take the time to look at the original words, we will plainly see that there is no disagreement.
In one case we are talking about the “spiritual man,” and in the other “the natural man.”

Luke 6:37 KJV
Judge* not, and ye shall not be judged*: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

*Judged-Greek-Krino (Kree-no): Prop. To distinguish, i.e. decide (mentally or judicially); by implication to try, condemn, punish:-avenge, conclude, condemn, damn, decree, determine, esteem, judge, go to ((sue at the( law, ordain, call in question, sentence to, think.

As Christians, we are “not,” to condemn others!

Romans 12:19 KJV (Isaiah 63:4)
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

“No,” Christian can claim this verse in his wrath! And why is that...this verse plainly tells us “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Vengeance, judgment, belongs to the sovereign Lord!

Matthew 5:39 KJV (Jesus)
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Divine Law of Reciprocity.

Luke 6:31 KJV
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Our second verse:
I Corinthians 2:14-15 KJV
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth* all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

*Judgeth-Greek-Anakrino (An-ak-ree-no): To scrutinize, i.e. (by Implication) investigate, interrogate, determine: ask, question, discern, examine, judge, search.

A spiritual person, has divine “spiritual judgment” (insight-discernment), by the Holy Spirit, not to condemn, or to sentence an individual, but to discern, to be aware of men and events, whether they be of God or not. And that discernment (judgment of knowing), comes by the Word of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

A spiritual man has God given insight-discernment, whereas the natural man cannot understand the things of God. He cannot know (judge, or know) the spiritual man, or the things he believes or does.

Psalm 92:6 KJV
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

Micah 4:12 KJV
But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they His counsel..."

Matthew 13:13 KJV
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Acts 28:27 KJV
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

The righteous are not called to “condemn- or sentence individuals,” but we are called to be aware. We are to “know,” whether they be of God or not.

I Kings 3:9 KJV (Prayer of Solomon.)
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Isaiah 11:1-4 KJV (Jesus Christ)
1 And there shall come forth a Rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make Him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears:
4 But with righteousness shall He judge...

The gifts of the Spirit for God's children are...(I Corinthians 12:1-11).
The Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, ...Discernment, etc.

Hebrews 5:14 NLT
Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

Sheila/ Toronto, Canada

Bible Answer:

Bible Verse:

1 John 2:1 KJV
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate* with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous:

*Advocate: Greek-Parakletos (Par-ak-lay-tos): An Intercessor, Consoler: advocate, comforter.
(Abingdon/Strong's Concordance)

We have a very wiley spiritual enemy. This enemy hates God, who has sentenced him, and man, for he is made in God's image.

Man, may or may not be aware of his sins, but one thing is for sure, Satan surely is.
Sins consist of; Commission, Omission and, sins of Ignorance.

I Peter 5:8 KJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Christians are sinners saved by grace, not sanctified yet, as the scriptures plainly tell us.

1 John 3:2 KJV
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

And this does not happen until we are with Him (until we see Him).

Christian people, not perfect by any means, are accused before God, by Satan, he is the accuser of the brethern.

Job 1:7-12 KJV
7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Job 2:3-6 KJV
3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst Me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

Zechariah 3:1-4 KJV
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at His right hand to resist Him.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the Angel.
4 And He answered and spake unto those that stood before Him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him He said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Revelation 12:9-11 KJV
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Though Satan accuses the Christian believers relentlessly before God, his accusations have no weight.
For “all the sins” (From birth to death.) of believers have been buried in the depths of the sea, through the power of the blood of Christ.

Isaiah 53:12 KJV
Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Romans 3:24 KJV
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Colossians 1:12-14 KJV
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Hebrews 7:24-27 KJV
24 But this Man, because He continueth ever, hath an unchangeable Priesthood.
25 Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an High Priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this He did once, when He offered up Himself.

I John 3:5 KJV
And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.

Revelation 5:9 KJV
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Bible Questions Answered: Dreams And Visions.

Bible Questions Answered:
Can we believe in dreams, that some people have?
Reginald/ Manchester, United Kingdom

Bible Answer:

Bible Text:

Acts 2:16,17 KJV
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Yes, there may be God given dreams/ visions etc., but may it all be judged according to the Word of God!

Even if they should happen to be Biblically correct, they are “not,” on par with the inerrant, God breathed, Word of God!

Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 KJV
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Proverbs 30:5,6 KJV
5 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
6 Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Galatians 1:6-9 KJV
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

I Thessalonians 2:13 KJV
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

II Timothy 3:16 KJV
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

II Peter 1:21 KJV
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Dreams and Visions of the Bible:

Genesis 28:11-13 KJV (Jacob)
11 And he (Jacob) lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

Exodus 24:9,10 KJV (Moses, Aaron, Nadab and, Abihu (70 elders of Israel).
9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under His feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in His clearness.

Exodus 33:23 KJV (Moses)
And I will take away Mine hand, and thou shalt see My back parts: but My face shall not be seen.

II Chronicles 18:18 KJV (Micaiah)
Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and on His left.

Isaiah 6:1 KJV (Isaiah)
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.

Ezekiel 1:26 KJV (Ezekiel 10:1) (Ezekiel)
And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a Man above upon it.

Daniel 7:9 KJV (Daniel)
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of Days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire.

Acts 7:55,56 KJV (Stephen)
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.

II Corinthians 12:2 KJV (Paul)
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

Revelation 4:2 KJV (John)
And immediately I was in the Spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of Jesus: Woman Healed Of 18 Years Of Infirmity.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of Jesus: Woman Healed Of 18 Years of Infirmity.

Bible Location: Galilee.

Bible Text: Luke 13:10-17 KJV
10 And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And He laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 And when He had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

Luke 13:10 KJV
And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

Luke 4:16 KJV
And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Jesus had been brought up by Godly parents, to be in the synagogue on the sabbath.
What is your custom? How are you raising your children, what will their custom be?

Luke 13:11 KJV
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity* eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

*Infirmity: Greek-Astheneia (As-then-i-ah): Feebleness, frailty, disease, sickness, weakness.
(Abingdon/Strong's Concordance of the Bible.)

Now someone might say...
“Well, of course seeing how this is a physical condition, due to an accident or some malady, this woman should be referred to a back specialist, one dealing with ailments of the spine.”

Jesus said, this physical condition was the work of Satan! And thus a physical condition resulting from evil spiritual forces.

Luke 13:16 KJV
“... whom Satan hath bound...”

Our enemy is in the, binding, business.

II Timothy 2:26 KJV
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Romans 8:15 KJV
"...the spirit of bondage..."

Luke 13:12,13 KJV
12 And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And He laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Jesus had come to destroy the work of the enemy.

Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV (Luke 4:17-21)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me; because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

I John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

The calling of God's people:

Mark 16:15-18 KJV
15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them (Not willful acts, this speaks of protection from the unknown, see Psalm 91:); they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Luke 13:14-16 KJV
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

The ruler of the synagogue, became enraged by Jesus healing on the sabbath, but Jesus replied, “...Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?”

Which of course they all did.
But what an analogy it made. Which as worse, leading his donkey to water to drink (on the sabbath), or healing a woman bent by 18 years of evil bondage?

Luke 13:17 KJV
And when He had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

Luke 13:13 KJV
“...and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”

Is it God's will to heal the sick today?

Matthew 10:1 KJV
And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Mark 3:14,15 KJV
14 And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach,
15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

I Corinthians 12:4-11 KJV
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.

Exodus 15:26 KJV
"... I am the LORD that healeth thee."

Psalm 103:1-3 KJV
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Psalm 147:3 KJV
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

III John 2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
