Bible Lesson: Titles Of The Church - Church Title: Gods Flock

Bible Lesson: Titles Of The Church.

Church Title: God's Flock.

Bible Text:

Isaiah 40:11 KJV
He shall feed His flock like A Shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Our Precious Savior is The Great Shepherd.

Psalm 23:1-6 KJV
1 The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of
The Lord for ever.

The Great Shepherd.

Ezekiel 34:11-31 NLT (The Good Shepherd, not only of Israel, but of all Christians as well. People -of- God.)
11 “For this is what The Sovereign Lord says: I Myself will search and find My sheep.
12 I will be like A Shepherd looking for His scattered flock. I will find My sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day.
13 I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel and by the rivers and in all the places where people live.
14 Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in the lush pastures of the hills.
15 I myself will tend My sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace, says
The Sovereign Lord.
16 I will search for My lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak. But I will destroy those who are fat and powerful. I will feed them, yes—feed them justice!

(Millennial Judgment: Matthew 25:31-46 KJV)
17 “And as for you, My flock, this is what The Sovereign Lord says to His people: I will judge between one animal of the flock and another, separating the sheep from the goats.
18 Isn’t it enough for you to keep the best of the pastures for yourselves? Must you also trample down the rest? Isn’t it enough for you to drink clear water for yourselves? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?
19 Why must My flock eat what you have trampled down and drink water you have fouled?

20 “Therefore, this is what The Sovereign Lord says: I will surely judge between the fat sheep and the scrawny sheep.
21 For you fat sheep pushed and butted and crowded My sick and hungry flock until you scattered them to distant lands.
22 So I will rescue My flock, and they will no longer be abused. I will judge between one animal of the flock and another.
23 And I will set over them one shepherd, My servant David. He will feed them and be a shepherd to them.
24 And I, The Lord, will be their God, and My servant David will be a prince among My people. I, The Lord, have spoken!

(The Lord’s Covenant of Peace)
25 “I will make a covenant of peace (Hebrews 13:20) with My people and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then they will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear.
26 I will bless My people and their homes around My holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.
27 The orchards and fields of My people will yield bumper crops, and everyone will live in safety. When I have broken their chains of slavery and rescued them from those who enslaved them, then they will know that I am The Lord.
28 They will no longer be prey for other nations, and wild animals will no longer devour them. They will live in safety, and no one will frighten them.

29 “And I will make their land famous for its crops, so My people will never again suffer from famines or the insults of foreign nations.
30 In this way, they will know that I, The Lord their God, am with them. And they will know that they, the people of Israel, are My people, says The Sovereign Lord.
31 You are My flock, the sheep of My pasture. You are My people, and I am your God. I,
The Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

Luke 15:3-7 KJV (A picture of our Great Shepherd.)
3 And He spake this parable unto them, saying,
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until He find it?
5 And when He hath found it, He layeth it on His shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when He cometh home, He calleth together His friends and neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with Me; for I have found My sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

John 10:1-18 KJV
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by The Door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth in by The Door is The Shepherd Of The Sheep.
3 To Him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear His voice: and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which He spake unto them.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am
The Door Of The Sheep.
8 All that ever came before Me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am The Door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not The Shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am The Good Shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine.
15 As The Father knoweth Me, even so know I The Father: and I lay down My life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice; and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd.
17 Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My Life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father.

Hebrews 13:20,21 KJV
20 Now The God Of Peace (Ezekiel 34:25), that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that Great Shepherd Of The Sheep, through The Blood Of The Everlasting Covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

I Peter 2:25 KJV
For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto The Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

I Peter 5:4 KJV
And when The Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Jude 1:24,25 KJV
24 Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jesus is our Shepherd. He offered up His Life for our justification.

Matthew 26:31 NLT
On the way, Jesus told them, “Tonight all of you will desert Me. For the Scriptures say,
God will strike The Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Our Shepherd knows us, feeds us, and guides us, and we are to listen to His voice and follow Him.

John 10:27 NLT
My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.

John 10:9 NLT
Yes, I am The Gate. Those who come in through Me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.

John 10:3,4 NLT
3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for Him, and the sheep recognize His voice and come to Him. He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 After He has gathered His own flock, He walks ahead of them, and they follow Him because they know His voice.

John 6:37 KJV
All that The Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.

Silence Of God

Bible Questions Answered:
“I pray but no answer. ...”
Sophie/ Flevoland, Netherlands

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

First of all, we must seek God's will and not our own.

Matthew 26:39 KJV
And He went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Matthew 23:12 KJV
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

I Peter 5:6 KJV
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:

James 4:6,10 KJV
6 But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of The Lord, and He shall lift you up.

Secondly, we must be a people of patience, God has a plan for our life.

Hebrews 10:36 KJV
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Psalm 37:9,23 KJV
9 “...those that wait upon The Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by The Lord: and He delighteth in his way.

Psalm 48:14 KJV
For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our Guide even unto death.

Psalm 119:133 KJV
Order my steps in thy Word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Proverbs 16:9 KJV
A man's heart deviseth his way: but The Lord directeth his steps.

Proverbs 20:24 NLT
The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?

Thirdly, we must be sure, what we ask in prayer is in God's Word.

John 7:17 KJV
If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

John 15:7 KJV
If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Ephesians 6:6 KJV
"... as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

James 4:15 KJV
For that ye ought to say, If The Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

I John 3:19-24 KJV
19 And hereby we know that we are of The Truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
23 And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by The Spirit which He hath given us.

I John 5:14,15 KJV
14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

When we pray, may we pray seeking God's will, in humility. Patiently, may we wait upon The Lord, making sure that what we have prayed for, is God's Word.

Psalm 34:15 KJV
The eyes of The Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

I Peter 3:12 KJV
For the eyes of The Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of The Lord is against them that do evil.

Body Piercing

Bible Questions Answered:
“I want to know if body piercing is ok...”
Sandra/

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

No!

I Corinthians 6:19,20 KJV
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of The Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Your body, is “not,” your own, it belongs to The Creator, who bought your body soul and spirit at a great price, that price being the cross of Calvary, and His very life.
The Lord Jesus, designed your body as a temple for The Holy Spirit.

I Corinthians 3:16,17 KJV
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that The Spirit Of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

In Old Testament days, the heathen were noted for their piercing and cutting of the flesh.

Leviticus 19:28 KJV
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am The Lord.

Leviticus 19:28 NLT
Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am The Lord.

In Old Testament days, Baal worshipers, pierced and cut themselves as part of their worship to Baal.

I Kings 18:28 NLT
So they shouted louder, and following their normal custom, they cut themselves with knives and swords until the blood gushed out.

It may shock the world and that's OK, maybe it needs to be shocked once in awhile, there are millions of people, who have never pierced their, ears, tongues, hands or arms, nor ever had them tattooed! You know, they are the same crazy people, who've never once had their first drink, or sex outside of marriage, and why? Because they have dedicated their bodies to The Lord!

Nazirite Dedication:

Numbers 6:1-4 NLT (Read the whole chapter.)
1 Then The Lord said to Moses,
2 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. “If any of the people, either men or women, take the special vow of a Nazirite, setting themselves apart to The Lord in a special way,
3 they must give up wine and other alcoholic drinks. They must not use vinegar made from wine or from other alcoholic drinks, they must not drink fresh grape juice, and they must not eat grapes or raisins.
4 As long as they are bound by their Nazirite vow, they are not allowed to eat or drink anything that comes from a grapevine—not even the grape seeds or skins.
5 “They must never cut their hair throughout the time of their vow, for they are holy and set apart to The Lord. Until the time of their vow has been fulfilled, they must let their hair grow long.

Mathew 21:10,11 KJV
10 And when He was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus The Prophet Of Nazareth Of Galilee.

It is never too late to dedicate ones life to The Lord!

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of The Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For The Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Matthew 6:33 KJV
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 22:36-38 KJV
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love The Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.

Romans 12:1,2 KJV
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

II Corinthians 6:14-18 NLT (The Temple of The Living God)
14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can Light live with darkness?
15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?
16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of
The Living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be My people.
17 Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says
The Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.
18 And I will be your Father, and you will be My sons and daughters, says
The Lord Almighty.

Colossians 3:17 NLT
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God The Father.

Horses And Chariots Of Fire

Bible Questions Answered:
“Elisha prayed that his servant would see something, what were the horses of fire?
Betty/ New York, New York U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

II Kings 6;18-23 NLT Elisha Traps the Arameans
8 When the king of Aram was at war with Israel, he would confer with his officers and say, “We will mobilize our forces at such and such a place.”
9 But immediately Elisha, the man of God, would warn the king of Israel, “Do not go near that place, for the Arameans are planning to mobilize their troops there.”
10 So the king of Israel would send word to the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he would be on the alert there.
11 The king of Aram became very upset over this. He called his officers together and demanded, “Which of you is the traitor? Who has been informing the king of Israel of my plans?”
12 “It’s not us, my lord the king,” one of the officers replied. “Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!”
13 “Go and find out where he is,” the king commanded, “so I can send troops to seize him.”
And the report came back: “Elisha is at Dothan.”
14 So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city.
15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.
16 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!
17 Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
18 As the Aramean army advanced toward him, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, please make them blind.” So The Lord struck them with blindness as Elisha had asked.
19 Then Elisha went out and told them, “You have come the wrong way! This isn’t the right city! Follow me, and I will take you to the man you are looking for.” And he led them to the city of Samaria.
20 As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, now open their eyes and let them see.” So The Lord opened their eyes, and they discovered that they were in the middle of Samaria.
21 When the king of Israel saw them, he shouted to Elisha, “My father, should I kill them? Should I kill them?”
22 “Of course not!” Elisha replied. “Do we kill prisoners of war? Give them food and drink and send them home again to their master.”
23 So the king made a great feast for them and then sent them home to their master. After that, the Aramean raiders stayed away from the land of Israel.

The servant of Elisha saw “the hillside around Elisha was filled with heavenly horses and chariots of fire.”
Elisha, had seen a chariot and horses of fire before!

II Kings 2:11 KJV

Christ The Eternal Son Of God

Bible Questions Answered:
“When did Jesus our Lord become the son of God?...”
Rayowa/ Abuja, Federal Capital Territory Nigeria

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

There are more than several schools of thought on this question and they are, that at ….

1.) His Incarnation.
When the angel spoke to Mary, and called Jesus, The Son Of God, this is when Jesus became
The Son Of God, so, many reason.

Luke 1:34,35 KJV
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and
The Power Of The Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called The Son Of God.

2.) His Baptism.
Some think that Jesus became “The Son Of God,” at His baptism, when The Father in heaven spoke.

Matthew 3:16,17 KJV
16 And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw The Spirit Of God descending like A Dove, and lighting upon Him:
17 And lo A Voice from heaven, saying, This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

3.) His Resurrection.
The Apostle Paul states, He was declared to be The Son Of God.

Romans 1:3,4 KJV
3 Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be The Son Of God with power, according to The Spirit Of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

4.) His Ascension.
Seated on the right hand of The Father, is The Son.

Hebrews 1:1-4 KJV
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;
3 Who being The Brightness Of His Glory, and The Express Image Of His Person, and upholding all things by The Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of The Majesty On High:
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Incarnation, Baptism, Resurrection, Ascension, four theories, and four theories wrong.

Psalm 2:7 KJV
I will declare the decree: The Lord (God The Father) hath said unto Me , Thou art My Son; this day* have I begotten thee.

*Day-Hebrew: Yowm-(Yome): Age, everlasting, Perpetually.

From the day of eternity past, there never was a moment The Lord Jesus Christ, was not God's Son.

Genesis 3:15 NLT (Prophetic View Of Christs Sacrifice)
And I will cause hostility between you (the serpent) and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike His heel.”

14 "..even so must The Son Of Man be lifted up: (The cross, our Lord's perfect sacrifice for our sin.)
15 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

The Word Of God Tells Us That Jesus Christ, The Son, is Eternal God:

For unto us A Child is born, unto us A Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father, The Prince Of Peace.

Philippians 2:7,8 KJV
7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of A Servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as A Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

He limited Himself To Being An Earthly Man.

Hebrews 2:14-18 KJV
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a Merciful and Faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succor them that are tempted.

For His Earthly Stay, He Emptied Himself Of Equality With God.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of A Servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as A Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
The Father.

Jesus Christ, God's Eternal Son, Equal With The Father, Emptied, And Humbled Himself, Came To Earth, To Become Mans Sacrifice For Sin.

For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
