Bible Texts:
First of all, we must
seek God's will and not our own.

And He went a little farther, and
fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible,
let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou
wilt.

shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:

the humble.

Secondly,
we must be a people of patience, God has a plan for our life.

that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the
promise.
Psalm 37:9,23

that wait upon The Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
23 The steps of a good man are
ordered by The Lord: and He delighteth in his way.

ever: He will be our Guide even unto death.

not any iniquity have dominion over me.

The Lord directeth his steps.

The Lord directs our steps, so why
try to understand everything along the way?
Thirdly,
we must be sure, what we ask in prayer is in God's Word.
John 7:17 KJV
If any man will do His will,
he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I
speak of myself.

abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done
unto you.

doing the will of God from the heart;
James 4:15 KJV

Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
I John 3:19-24
KJV
19 And hereby we know that we are of
The Truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God
is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us
not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive
of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that
are pleasing in His sight.
23 And this is His commandment, That
we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one
another, as He gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth His
commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know
that He abideth in us, by The Spirit which He hath given us.
I John 5:14,15
KJV
14 And this is the confidence that
we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will,
He heareth us:
15 And if we know that He hear us,
whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired
of Him.
When we pray, may
we pray seeking God's will, in humility. Patiently, may we wait upon
The Lord, making sure that what we have prayed for, is God's Word.

Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.
I Peter 3:12 KJV
For the eyes of The Lord are over
the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face
of The Lord is against them that do evil.
