Evolution

Bible Questions Answered:
“Evolution was right, I read it in the bible, Job 25 says that we all came from worms or are worms....”
Jason/ Munich, Germany Bavaria

Bible Answer:
Bible Text:

Job 25:1-6 NLT (Bildad’s Third Response to Job)
1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2 “God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.
3 Who is able to count His heavenly army? Doesn’t His Light shine on all the earth?
4 How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?
5 God is more glorious than the moon; He shines brighter than the stars.
6 In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”

Well, this may come as an absolute shock to some but, every word in The Bible is not “Holy Writ.”
No doubt there has been and will be some Bible thumper who will declare from his pulpit that The Bible is 100% God breathed, God's Word.

That is well meaning, but of course totally incorrect.

James 3:1 NLT
Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Pastor, now you've gone and done it, we won't be reading this site any more, that's for sure!”

Our wonderful Bible, contains the very Words of God, and those of His inspired holy Prophets, this is “Holy Writ.”

II Peter 1:21 KJV
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by The Holy Ghost.

II Timothy 3:16,17 KJV
16 All scripture* is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

*Scripture - Greek: Graphe (Graf--ay): Holy Writ.

Writ:
A form of written command in the name of a court or other legal authority to act, or abstain from acting, in some way.
(Oxford Dictionary)

The words of hate filled enemies of God are recorded in The Bible, are they inspired?
Do you realize that some 26 verses in your Bible are the very words of Lucifer, himself, inspired?

No, Scripture (Holy Writ) is only God breathed.
Now a word concerning the individual Bildad.

Bildad, a harsh friend, a shuhite (Genesis 25:2), may have come from Shuah of Arabia. Shuah was the sixth son of Abraham by Keturah. Bildad was “not,” a prophet of God.

Next the thing to be said of Bildad's writings.

Job 25:4 NLT
How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?

Answer: Yes, the Lord Jesus, was born of a woman, and sinless, thee only one who ever was.

Job 25:5,6 NLT
5 God is more glorious than the moon; He shines brighter than the stars.
6 In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”

Bildad, was not espousing any such thing as evolution (Charles Darwin-1859, which he renounced before his death.)
Bildad was speaking metaphorically. (Genesis 1:26,27).

Metaphorically:
A word or phrase for one thing that is used to refer to another thing in order to show or suggest that they are similar
An object, activity, or idea that is used as a symbol of something else
(Merriam-Webster)

In the church we sing “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” but our God is not a fort, and yet He is metaphorically as one, in strength and safety.

This, no doubt, was what Bildad had in mind when he said what he did.
Yes, metaphorically speaking, God is The One who is all glorious.

Job 25:5 NLT
God is more glorious than the moon; He shines brighter than the stars.

The Glory Of God:

Psalm 8:1 KJV
O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Psalm 24:7,8 KJV
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and The King Of Glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King Of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.

Psalm 72:19 KJV
And blessed be His glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen, and Amen.

Psalm 104:1,2 KJV
1 Bless The Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honor and majesty.
2 Who coverest thyself with Light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Isaiah 6:1-4 NLT
1 It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw The Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the Temple.
2 Attending Him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew.
3 They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is The Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with His glory!”
4 Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

Philippians 2:9-11 KJV
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him (Christ), and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God The Father.

I Timothy 1:17 KJV
Now unto The King Eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 1:1-3 KJV
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of The Majesty On High:

Do you know this glorious living God? You may become His very child....

Death Our Servant

Bible Questions Answered:
“Paul says that death is our servant- What?...”
Curtis/ Perth, Australia  (Western Australia)

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

I Corinthians 3:21-24 TLB
21 So don’t be proud of following the wise men of this world. For God has already given you everything you need.
22 He has given you Paul and Apollos and Peter as your helpers. He has given you the whole world to use, and life and even death are your servants. He has given you all of the present and all of the future. All are yours,
23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ is God’s.

Death The Servant Of The Redeemed:

Death is only a shadow for the redeemed.

Psalm 23:4 KJV
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalm 68:20 NLT
Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death.

Philippians 1:21 KJV
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Death holds no fear over the child of God.

I John 4:18 KJV
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Psalm 37:37 KJV
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

Only the Christian, truly know how to die, for he has put to death his carnal nature, during his earthly existence:

Romans 8:12,13 NLT
12 Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of The Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

Death brings victory, over pain and suffering, and all the trials of life, to the child of God:

I Corinthians 15:54-57 NLT
54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

All labor has ceased for ever:

Psalm 116:7 KJV
Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for The Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Hebrews 4:3,9-11 KJV
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest..."
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest..."

Revelation 14:13 KJV
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in The Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith The Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

Sorrows forever gone:

Psalm 16:11 KJV
Thou wilt shew me the path of Life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

A heavenly spiritual body awaits for what will one day become a glorified body as our Lord's:

II Corinthians 5:1-9 NLT
1 For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God Himself and not by human hands.
2 We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.
3 For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.
4 While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.
5 God Himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee He has given us His Holy Spirit.
6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with The Lord. (The inference is clear-Then for the Christian, to be absent from the body, is to be present with The Lord!)
7 For we live by believing and not by seeing.
8 Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with The Lord.
9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please Him.

An eternal home awaits God's child:

John 14:1-3 KJV
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

After death, rewards await the servant of The Lord:

I Corinthians 3:11-14 KJV
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

Mark 9:41 KJV
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in My name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Reunion with Christian loved ones who have gone on before:

Colossians 1:12 NLT
Always thanking The Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in the Light.

Ephesians 2:19 KJV
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Jude 1:14 KJV
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, The Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints,

Death ushers the Christian into his eternal inheritance:

Colossians 1:11,12 NLT
11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,
12 always thanking The Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in The Light.

Hebrews 9:15 NT
That is why He is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them..."

I Peter 1:3,4 KJV
3 Blessed be The God And Father Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Dear friend, when death knocks at your door, will he be an everlasting enemy, or a liberator to Godly eternal blessings without end?

Numbers 23:10 NLT
"...Let me die like the righteous; let my life end like theirs.”

I Corinthians 2:9 KJV
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

Death and its end:

I Corinthians 15:26,54 KJV
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

II Timothy 1:10 KJV
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought Life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Revelation 21:4 KJV
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Bible Lesson: Parables Of The Old Testament: Samson's Parable Of Strength And Sweetness.

Bible Lesson: Parables Of The Old Testament: Samson's Parable Of Strength And Sweetness.

Bible Location: Timnath.

Bible Text:

Judges 14:1-20 KJV
1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
4 But his father and his mother knew not that it was of The Lord, that He sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6 And The Spirit Of The Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid (young goat), and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

7 And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8 And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
9 And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.

10 So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11 And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
12 And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
13 But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.

14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
16 And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
17 And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down,
What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion?
and he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
19 And The Spirit Of The Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.
20 But Samson's wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.

This chapter speaks volumes of information concerning choosing one's mate, and marriage, but our concern here is Samson's riddle.

Ever ask yourself in life, why has this happened to me?
A Christian has no right, ever to ask such a question, for to ask it, is to renounce his belief in the sovereignty of Almighty God, The Living God to whom which he has pledged himself.

The beautiful young Philistine girl, and the lion of Timnath, both were planned by the hand of God!

Judges 14:4 KJV
But his father and his mother knew not that it was of The Lord, that He sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

Our Way Is Guided By The Lord:

Job 31:4 KJV
Doth not He see my ways, and count all my steps?

Psalm 32:8 KJV
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye.

Psalm 37:23 KJV
The steps of a good man are ordered by The Lord: and He delighteth in his way.

Psalm 48:14 KJV
For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.

Psalm 73:24 KJV
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Proverbs 16:9 KJV
A man's heart deviseth his way: but The Lord directeth his steps.

Proverbs 20:24 NLT
The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?

Romans 8:28 KJV
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

God's people had been subservient to the Philistines, and the reason was, the people's rebellion to God.

Judges 13:1 KJV
And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of The Lord; and The Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

The time came when God sought to free His people, and judge their enemy..
Yes, to everything, there is a plan.

Samson's riddle:

Judges 14:14 KJV
And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness.

The Philistines said that they knew the answer, (after they had threatened and coerced Samson's wife to tell them his riddle).

18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down,
What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion?

Samson's wife had betrayed him.
In his anger

Judges 14:19 KJV
And The Spirit Of The Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon (A Philistine city), and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

Judges chapters 15 and 16, go on to tell how time after time he routed the Philistines, in just one occurrence, he slew 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of an ass (Judges 15:16).

One interpretation of Samson's lion encounter is as follows:

The Lion is Satan

I Peter 5:8 KJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

But a greater deliverer than Samson is with God's people.

Matthew 28:18 KJV
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.

I Corinthians 15:25,26 KJV
25 For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

II Thessalonians 2:8 KJV
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom The Lord shall consume with The spirit Of His Mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

I John 3:8 KJV
"...For this purpose The Son Of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

I John 4:4 KJV
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Revelation 1:18 KJV
I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelation 17:14 KJV
These shall make war with The Lamb, and The Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

The honey, the good things of God:

Psalm 34:8,10 NLT
8 Taste and see that The Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!
10 "...those who trust in The Lord will lack no good thing.

Acts 10:38 KJV
"...God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with The Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.

Conclusion:

John 10:10 KJV
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 3:16,17 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

Talebearers

Bible Questions Answered:
Isn't this an error of christianity, Jesus definitely spoke against the Scribs and Pharisees, when plainly in Leviticus 19:16, all are told not to be a talebearer! King David spoke Psalm 34, a violation of this as well!
Carl/ Lewisburg, Tennessee U.S.A.

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

Leviticus 19:16 VOICE

Leviticus 19:16 WYC
Thou shalt not be a slanderer, that is, a false accuser, neither a privy backbiter in the people (nor a backbiter in private among the people); thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbor; I am The Lord.

Slander:
A malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report:
(Dictionary.Com)

Our Lord, never gave any false report (lies) against the Scribes and Pharisees, everything He said of them, was true, this the people knew only too well.

Jesus did not “shirk,” as some prophets of today do, from pointing out the false teachers among the people!

Matthew 7:15,21-23 KJV
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Smooth operators of religious pomp and circumstance, rites and rituals, but who never had nor advocated having a “personal relationship to Jesus Christ, The Savior, The Author, and Finisher of Christian faith.”

Psalm 34:12,13 KJV
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Psalm 34:12,13 ERV
12 Do you want to enjoy life? Do you want to have many happy days?
13 Then avoid saying anything hurtful, and never let a lie come out of your mouth.

To tell The Truth, is “not,” talebearing, and our Lord always spoke The Truth!
It is the duty of all Christian people everywhere to tell The Truth.

Matthew 7:1-5 KJV
1 Judge* not, that ye be not judged.

Judge-Greek: Krino (Kree-no): To Decide, to condemn, punish, condemn, damn, sentence.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
It is “not,” the duty of a Christian, to sentence anyone, but it is the duty of a Christian to warn others!
There is only one Judge....

Romans 12:19 KJV
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith The Lord.

The Duty Of God's Child:

Ezekiel 3:17-21 KJV
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from Me.
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Is it talebearing to tell others that some religious leader is a false prophet? No, this Jesus did openly.
And it is not wrong, because it is The Truth, (not a lie, or a false claim of slander), to warn others.

Talebearing in the church is when someone speaks of Mr. Jones alcoholism, when we was delivered from alcoholism over 10 years ago, and is today serving The Lord with all his heart, yet some won't let the story end, these are talebearers.

Proverbs 26:20 KJV
Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth

Heir's Of God

Bible Questions Answered:
“What does It meant to be an heir of God?...”
Elliot/ Leeds, England United Kingdom

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

When we receive The Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, we are adopted into the family of God, and so became heirs as God's children.

Galatians 4:4-7 KJV
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth The Spirit Of His Son into your hearts, crying,
Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

The Word:

John 1:11-13 KJV
11 He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Romans 8:14-17 NKJV
14 For as many as are led by The Spirit Of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
The Spirit Of Adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Galatians 3:26,29 KJV
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Ephesians 1:3-14 NLT
3 All praise to God, The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
4 Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.
5 God decided in advance (Romans 8:28-31 KJV) to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.
6 So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son.
7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with The Blood Of His Son and forgave our sins.
8 He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
9 God has now revealed to us His mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure.
10 And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.
11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance (See....

Romans 8:28-31 KJV
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

and He makes everything work out according to His plan.
12 God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.
13 And now you Gentiles have also heard The Truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you The Holy Spirit, whom He promised long ago.
14 The Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will give us the inheritance He promised and that
He has purchased us to be His own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify Him.

Titus 3:7 KJV
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 1:14 KJV
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews 6:17 KJV
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

Hebrews 9:16,17 KJV
16 Now when someone leaves a will, it is necessary to prove that the person who made it is dead.
17 The will goes into effect only after the person’s death. While the person who made it is still alive, the will cannot be put into effect.

James 2:5 KJV
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and
heirs of the kingdom which He hath promised to them that love Him?

I Peter 1:3,4 KJV
3 Blessed be The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Being an heir of God, means being in heaven for eternity, with God The Father, The Lord Jesus, and His Holy Spirit. With countless numbers of saints from all ages.

Psalm 16:11 KJV
Thou wilt shew me the path of Life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 36:7-9 NLT
7 How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.
8 You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.
9 For you are the fountain of Life, the Light by which we see.

Psalm 132:16 KJV
I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Isaiah 35:10 KJV
And the ransomed of The Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 61:10 KJV
I will greatly rejoice in The Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Romans 14:17 KJV
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in
The Holy Ghost.

To him that over cometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne.

Revelation 5:9,10 KJV
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Revelation 14:13 KJV
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in The Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith The Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 20:6 KJV
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 22:1-10 NLT
1 Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from
The Throne Of God and of The Lamb.
2 It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
3 No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For The Throne Of God and of The Lamb will be there, and His servants will worship Him.
4 And they will see His face, and His name will be written on their foreheads.
5 And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for The Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.

Bible Lesson: Parables Of The Old Testament: Jotham Tells A Parable Of Trees Choosing A King.

Bible Lesson: Parables Of The Old Testament: Jotham Tells A Parable Of Trees Choosing A King.

Bible Text:

Judges 9:7-15 NLT (Jotham’s Parable) (Be sure to read the whole story verse 1-57)
7 When Jotham heard about this, he climbed to the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted, “Listen to me, citizens of Shechem! Listen to me if you want God to listen to you!
8 Once upon a time the trees decided to choose a king. First they said to the olive tree, ‘Be our king!’
9 But the olive tree refused, saying,‘Should I quit producing the olive oil that blesses both God and people, just to wave back and forth over the trees?’
10 “Then they said to the fig tree,‘You be our king!’
11 But the fig tree also refused, saying,‘Should I quit producing my sweet fruit just to wave back and forth over the trees?’
12 “Then they said to the grapevine,‘You be our king!’
13 But the grapevine also refused, saying,‘Should I quit producing the wine that cheers both God and people, just to wave back and forth over the trees?’
14 “Then all the trees finally turned to the thorn bush and said,‘Come, you be our king!’
15 And the thorn bush replied to the trees,‘If you truly want to make me your king, come and take shelter in my shade. If not, let fire come out from me and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’”

Gideon (5th Judge of Israel) was dead, and his son Abimelech (by Gideon's Shechemite concubine) took rule by slaying all 70 of Gideon's other sons, except the youngest son, Jotham, who escaped.

Jotham, persuaded the Schechemites to make him their rightful king, and he did so because the people were tired of the ways of Abimelech, and were convinced by Jotham, Abimelech (The Thorn bush -Judges 9:5 NLT a wicked ½ brother), was not a son, so as to be an actual heir.

Abimelech returned to Schechem to quell the insurrection. Coming to thebez, he found the people all gathered in a strong tower. Thinking that he would set it afire as he had successfully done at the tower of Shechem, he went near to set it ablaze, where upon a woman at the top of the tower dropped down a portion of a millstone upon the head of Abimelech, and thus the parable of Jotham had come to pass.

Judges 9:16-20 NLT
16 Jotham continued, “Now make sure you have acted honorably and in good faith by making Abimelech your king, and that you have done right by Gideon and all of his descendants. Have you treated him with the honor he deserves for all he accomplished?
17 For he fought for you and risked his life when he rescued you from the Midianites.
18 But today you have revolted against my father and his descendants, killing his seventy sons on one stone. And you have chosen his slave woman’s son, Abimelech, to be your king just because he is your relative.
19 “If you have acted honorably and in good faith toward Gideon and his descendants today, then may you find joy in Abimelech, and may he find joy in you.
20 But if you have not acted in good faith, then may fire come out from Abimelech and devour the leading citizens of Shechem and Beth-millo; and may fire come out from the citizens of Shechem and Beth-millo and devour Abimelech!”

Judgment befell Abimelech (The Thorn Bush), and the wicked people of Shechem.

If the leader of the people is himself evil, so to will be the people who follow him, only judgment will be their reward.

Jeremiah 17:10 KJV
The Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Matthew 12:36,37 KJV
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matthew 16:27 KJV
For The Son Of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

Luke 12:48 KJV
"...For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

John 3:19 KJV
And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil.

Romans 1:18-22 KJV
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold The Truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Romans 14:12 KJV
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

II Corinthians 5:10 KJV
For we must all appear before The Judgment Seat Of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

I Peter 1:17 NLT
And remember that The Heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of Him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

Revelation 20:11-13 KJV
11 And I saw a Great White throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Revelation 22:12 KJV
And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
