Judgment At The Temple

Bible Questions Answered:
“Jesus made a whip in the temple to drive them out, he loved and healed people?...”
Jesse/ Moscow, Russia

Bible Answer:
Bible Text:

John 2:13-16 KJV
13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when He had made a scourge of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not My Father's house an house of merchandise.

QUESTION: Some may ask, could this be the same Jesus who blessed little children...

Matthew 19:14 KJV
But Jesus said, Suffer (permit) little children, and forbid them not, to come unto Me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

And who healed the bound, the sick, the halt and the blind?

Luke 13:16,17 KJV
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 And when He had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

ANSWER: Yes, it was the same Jesus, The Son Of God.

John 6:66-67 KJV
66 From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

Some today, labor under the delusion, that our Savior, was a mild mannered man, milk-toast, kind of individual. A Man who could soft-pedal questionable things, who understood all about gray areas, totally amicable concerning needful little white lies, etc. etc.

But far, far, far be The Truth, from that kind of conjecture!

Though many may sing Oh Jesus We Love You, yet the sad fact is, many today, would find it uncomfortable to be in the immediate presence of Jesus! Why, because Jesus Christ is also JUDGE, and He never removes His magisterial robe of righteousness!

The One who loved His disciples so much told Peter....

Matthew 16:23 KJV
But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind Me, Satan: thou art an offense unto Me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Luke 22:32 KJV
But I have prayed for thee (Simon-Peter), that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Were there welts, were there bruises, perhaps, but one must remember these were people on their way to God's wrath, and if God's chastisement caused just one to fall to his knees and cry out to The Lord, all would be of great worth!

I Peter 4:17 KJV (Church Of Jesus Christ)
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Prayers Of Confession:

Deuteronomy 1:41 KJV
"...We have sinned against the Lord..."

Judges 10:10 KJV
"...We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God..."

I Samuel 12:10 KJV
And they cried unto The Lord, and said, We have sinned..."

I Kings 8:47 KJV
"...We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

II Chronicles 6:37 KJV
"...We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;

Psalm 106:6 KJV
We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

Jeremiah 3:25 KJV
"...for we have sinned against The Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of The Lord our God.

Jeremiah 14:7,20 KJV
7 O Lord...our iniquities testify against us...our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.
20 We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.

Lamentations 5:16 KJV
The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

Daniel 9:5,8,11,15 NLT
5 But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations.
8 O Lord, we and our kings, princes, and ancestors are covered with shame because we have sinned against you.
11 All Israel has disobeyed your instruction and turned away, refusing to listen to your voice.
15 “O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name by rescuing your people from Egypt in a great display of power. But we have sinned and are full of wickedness.

Solomon, please tell us again, what The Lord told you....

II Chronicles 7:14,15 NKJV
14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made..."

Dear friend, these words are directed to us.
What will we say to The Lord, “Oh, I have not sinned.”

Psalm 51:5 KJV (King David)
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Romans 3:23 KJV (Apostle Paul)
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Certainly it must be time for, humility, confession of sin, and calling on The Lord.

Revelation 3:19,22 KJV (Laodicea)
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what The Spirit saith unto the churches.
