Judgment At The Temple
Bible Questions Answered:
“Jesus made a whip in the temple to
drive them out, he loved and healed people?...”
Jesse/ Moscow, Russia
Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
John 2:13-16 KJV
13 And the
Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in
the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers
of money sitting:
15 And when He
had made a scourge of small cords, He drove them all out of the
temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers'
money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said
unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not My
Father's house an house of merchandise.
QUESTION: Some may ask, could this be the same Jesus who
blessed little children...
Matthew 19:14
KJV
But Jesus said,
Suffer (permit) little children, and forbid them not, to come unto
Me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
And who healed the bound, the sick, the halt and the blind?
Luke 13:16,17
KJV
16 And ought
not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound,
lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath
day?
17 And when He
had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed: and all the
people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.
ANSWER: Yes, it was the same Jesus, The Son Of God.
John 6:66-67 KJV
66 From that
time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.
67 Then said
Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Some today, labor under the delusion, that our Savior, was a mild
mannered man, milk-toast, kind of individual. A Man who could
soft-pedal questionable things, who understood all about gray areas,
totally amicable concerning needful little white lies, etc. etc.
But far, far, far be The Truth, from that kind of conjecture!
Though many may sing Oh Jesus We Love You, yet the sad fact is, many
today, would find it uncomfortable to be in the
immediate presence of Jesus! Why, because Jesus Christ is also
JUDGE, and He never removes His magisterial robe of righteousness!
The One who loved His disciples so much told Peter....
Matthew 16:23
KJV
But He turned,
and said unto Peter, Get thee behind Me, Satan: thou art an
offense unto Me: for thou savourest not the things that be of
God, but those that be of men.
Luke 22:32 KJV
But I have
prayed for thee (Simon-Peter), that thy faith fail not: and when
thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Were there welts, were there bruises, perhaps, but one must remember
these were people on their way to God's wrath, and if God's
chastisement caused just one to fall to his knees and cry out to The
Lord, all would be of great worth!
I Peter 4:17 KJV
(Church Of Jesus Christ)
For the time is
come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first
begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel
of God?
