Hypocrisy # 2
Bible Questions Answered:
“...a girlfriend says shes christian
when shes with me and my friends, but I hear that when shes with some
other people shes not christian at all. So what to do...”

Bible Answer:
Hypocrisy, Self-Righteousness, False
Righteousness.
Bible Texts:
Isaiah 65:5 KJV
Which say,
Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou.
These are a smoke in My nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
Matthew 6:1-18 KJV
1 Take heed
that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye
have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore
when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as
the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that
they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their
reward.
3 But when thou
doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine
alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret Himself
shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou
prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they
love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the
streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They
have their reward.
6 But thou,
when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy
door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which
seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye
pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they
think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye
therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have
need of, before ye ask Him.
9 After this
manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father
which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom
come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this
day our daily bread.
12 And forgive
us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the
kingdom, and the power,
and the
glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye
forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive
you:
15 But if ye
forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive
your trespasses.
16 Moreover
when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance:
for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to
fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17 But thou,
when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18 That thou
appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret:
and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 15:1-9 NLT
1 Some
Pharisees and teachers of religious law now arrived from Jerusalem to
see Jesus. They asked Him,
2 “Why do
your disciples disobey our age-old tradition? For they ignore our
tradition of ceremonial hand washing before they eat.”
3 Jesus
replied, “And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct
commandments of God?
4 For instance,
God says, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who
speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’
5 But you say
it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t
help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have
given to you.’
6 In this way,
you say they don’t need to honor their parents. And so you cancel
the word of God for the sake of your own tradition.
7 You
hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he
wrote,
8 ‘These
people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
9 Their worship
is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’”
Matthew 23:1-39 KJV
(Christ issues 7 woes to the Scribes and Pharisees.)
1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude,
and to His disciples,
2 Saying The scribes and the
Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid
you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works:
for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and
grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they
themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to
be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the
borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at
feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and
to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and
all ye are brethren.
9 And call
no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is
in heaven.
10 Neither
be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you
shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself
shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
13 But woe unto you,
Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the
kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves,
neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
14 Woe unto you, Scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a
pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater
damnation.
15 Woe unto you,
Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea
and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him
twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
16 Woe unto you, ye
blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is
nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a
debtor!
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether
is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the
altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon
it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether
is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
20 Whoso therefore shall swear by
the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
21 And whoso shall swear by the
temple, sweareth by it, and by Him that dwelleth therein.
22 And he that shall swear by
heaven, sweareth by The Throne Of God, and by Him that sitteth
thereon.
23 Woe unto you,
Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe
of mint and anise and cummin, and
have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and
faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave
the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at
a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you,
Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the
outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of
extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse
first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of
them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you,
Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto
whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are
within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly
appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and
iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, Scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the
prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the
days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in
the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto
yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the
prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of
your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of
vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto
you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall
kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your
synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the
righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel
unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between
the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these
things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that
killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how
often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen
gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto
you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not
see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in
the name of The Lord.
Hypocrisy:A
pretending to be what one is not, or to feel what one does not feel/
esp., a pretense of virtue, piety, etc.
Hypocrite: A
person who pretends to be what he or she is not; one who pretends to
be better than is really so, or to be pious, virtuous, etc. without
really being so.
(New World

Jesus warned:
Luke 6:41,42 NLT
41 “And why worry about a speck in
your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?
42 How can you think of saying,
‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when
you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First
get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to
deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.
Luke 12:1 NLT
Meanwhile, the crowds grew until
thousands were milling about and stepping on each other. Jesus turned
first to His disciples and warned them, “Beware of the yeast of the
Pharisees—their hypocrisy.
Luke 18:9-14 KJV
9 And He spake this parable unto
certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and
despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple
to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed
thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are,
extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give
tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar
off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote
upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to
his house justified rather than the other: for every one that
exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall
be exalted.
True Wisdom:
James 3:17 KJV
But the wisdom that is from above is
first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of
mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
I Peter 2:1,2
NLT
1 So get rid of
all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy,
jealousy, and all unkind speech.
2 Like newborn
babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into
a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,
Titus 1:16 KJV
They profess
that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being
abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Our enemy, is not stupid!
The church, and God's people, are not his “last,” place of
retreat, but first place of attack!
Divide and conquer, certainly his method.
People, today abound in claiming to be followers of Christ. And yet
Christ tells us....
Matthew 7:21 KJV
Not every one
that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
Hypocrites, false followers of Christ, certainly in the pew, as well
as in the pulpit.
Hypocrisy, the church of Jesus Christ, today is rife with the sin of
hypocrisy.
Oh, many may know the way of salvation, but have one foot firmly
planted in the world.
I John 2:15-17 KJV
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of The Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of The Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Saying they (the shepherds) are trusting God, they have accounts with
millions and millions of dollars.
Many are billionaires.
If not wealth, than power and authority, an intoxicating mix, that
they would do anything to maintain.
Etc. etc. , and God's church, suffers dishonest, and powerless
leadership as a result!
The glory of God is “not,” seen.
The power of God, not realized.
“Pastor, is it a sin to be wealthy?”
For a called leader of the church of Jesus Christ, or any Christian, that answer may surprise you!
The answer is Yes!
Matthew 6:19 KJV
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth..."
It is a sin, because it means we are "not," we are "not," living a life of SELF-DENIAL!
Matthew 6:19-21 KJV
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
For wealthy leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ, to stand and assume a
position of pauper and trusting God, is nothing less than deception.
And whether great wealth is hidden or confessed, our God told us...
Exodus 20:3 KJV
Thou shalt have
no other gods before Me.
And it is another sin as well, a sin you do “not,” hear being
preached in our world today!
The Sin of resisting “SELF-DENIAL.”
A life of Total Self Denial, is “not,” afraid of Total and
Open Honesty!
Our spiritual leaders have fallen prey to Satan's wiles.
In these terrible evil days, we need spiritual leaders that are Real
Women and Men of God!
Open and honest as to their Godly Callings/ their
finances/ relationships with others/
etc. etc.
Men and Women who will day by day week by week, month by month, year
by year be open and honest in all their dealings. Lives of
total and open honesty that can and will be blessed of the Lord!
Then the church of Jesus Christ will know, whether it has leaders of
Self-Denial or not!
It is time for all the silly church methods and games of the past to
end!
And they will end, if you and I meet at the altar of where we
worship, and cry out to the Living God, to help us!
II Chronicles
7:14 KJV
If My people,
which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and
seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Matthew 16:24
KJV
Then said Jesus
unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Matthew 8:20 KJV
And Jesus saith
unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests;
but The Son Of Man hath not where to lay His head.
II Corinthians
8:9 KJV
For ye know the
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich (while
in heaven), yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye
through His poverty might be rich (spiritually).
Mark 8:34 KJV
And when He had
called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto
them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Philippians
2:3-8,14,15 KJV
3 Let nothing
be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let
each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not
every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of
others.
5 Let this mind
be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in
the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of A Servant,
and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being
found in fashion as A Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross.
14 Do all
things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may
be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the
midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights
in the world;
I Peter 4:17 KJV
For the time is
come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first
begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel
of God?

Sword - I Came ..To Send..A
Bible Questions Answered:
“...I thought Jesus was the prince of

Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
Matthew 10:32-39 KJV
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess
Me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in
heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny Me
before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to
send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at
variance* against his father, and the daughter against her
mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of
his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother
more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or daughter
more than Me is not worthy of Me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross,
and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me.
39 He that findeth his life shall
lose it: and he that loseth his life for My sake shall find it.

John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, My peace I

It would seem as
though these verses have a real incongruity, yet they do not!
The follower of
Jesus Christ is promised peace in his heart and life.
Psalm 29:11 KJV
The Lord will give strength unto His

Psalm 119:165

John 16:33 KJV
These things I have spoken unto you,

16 And what agreement hath The
Temple Of God with idols? for ye are The Temple Of The Living God; as
God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be
their God, and they shall be My people.
17 Wherefore come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith The Lord, and touch not the unclean

II Thessalonians
3:6 KJV
Now we command you, brethren, in the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every
brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he
received of us.
Time and time again our Bible warns us
to separate ourselves from those who refuse to serve the
Living God.
The Word of God that instructs in
righteousness, calls us to separation.
Ephesians
6:10-18 KJV
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong
in The Lord, and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the
whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil
day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with Truth, and having on
the breastplate of
righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the
shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God:
18 Praying always with

with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Hebrews 4:12 KJV
For The Word Of God is quick, and

Revelation 2:12,16 KJV
12 And to the angel of the church in
Pergamos write; These things saith He which hath the sharp sword with
two edges;
16 Repent; or else I will come unto
thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
(God's Word)
Promised blessing in the midst of
spiritual battle!
Psalm 1:1-6 KJV
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not
in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in The Law Of The
Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted
by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like
the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand
in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For The Lord knoweth the way of the
righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old Testament: Philistines And False God, Fall Before The Ark.
Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old
Testament: Philistines And False God, Fall Before The Ark.
Occasion: Warning To The
Philistines To Return The Ark.
Location: Ashdod.
Bible Text:
I Samuel 5:1-12 NLT (The Ark of
the Covenant in Philistia.)
1 After the Philistines captured The
Ark Of God, they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the
town of Ashdod.
2 They carried The Ark Of God into
the temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon.
3 But when the citizens of Ashdod
went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to
the ground in front of The Ark Of The Lord! So they took Dagon and
put him in his place again.
4 But the next morning the same
thing happened—Dagon had fallen face down before The Ark Of The
Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were
lying in the doorway. Only the trunk of his body was left intact.
5 That is why to this day neither
the priests of Dagon nor anyone who enters the temple of Dagon in
Ashdod will step on its threshold.
6 Then The Lord’s heavy hand
struck the people of Ashdod and the nearby villages with a plague of
tumors.
7 When the people realized what was
happening, they cried out, “We can’t keep The Ark Of The God of
Israel here any longer! He is against us! We will all be destroyed
along with Dagon, our god.”
8 So they called together the rulers
of the Philistine towns and asked, “What should we do with The Ark
Of The God Of Israel?” The rulers discussed it and replied, “Move
it to the town of Gath.” So they moved the Ark of the God of Israel
to Gath.
9 But when the Ark arrived at Gath,
the Lord’s heavy hand fell on its men, young and old; he struck
them with a plague of tumors, and there was a great panic.
10 So they sent The Ark Of God to
the town of Ekron, but when the people of Ekron saw it coming they
cried out, “They are bringing The Ark Of The God Of Israel here to
kill us, too!”
11 The people summoned the
Philistine rulers again and begged them, “Please send The Ark Of
The God Of Israel back to its own country, or it will kill us all.”
For the deadly plague from God had already begun, and great fear was
sweeping across the town.
12 Those who didn’t die were
afflicted with tumors; and the cry from the town rose to heaven.
When Israel (God's
people), lost in battle to their enemies, there only was one reason
for defeat,
sin was in the
camp. And so it was, as Israel lost, one and then a second battle
with the Philistines.
Israel had taken
The Ark Of The Lord into battle, ...
I Samuel 4:3 NLT
"...Then they said, “Let’s
bring The Ark Of The Covenant of The Lord from Shiloh. If we carry it
into battle with us, it will save us from our enemies.”
And they lost
terribly. The presence and power of God, is not with those who do not
live obediently to the Lord! The name of the Lord, is not a talisman, of victory, for those who live apart from Him.
Matthew 7:21 KJV
Not every one that saith unto Me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth
the will of My Father which is in heaven.
In Israel's defeat,
The Ark Of God, was stolen by the Philistines.
I Samuel 5:1 NLT
After the Philistines captured The
Ark Of God, they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the
town of Ashdod. (30 miles to the South.)
I Samuel 5:2 NLT
They carried The Ark Of God into the
temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon.
Dagon: The
god of the philistines (Atargatis). Human head and face with
the hands of a man, and with the tail of a fish. An idol which stood
for fruitfulness of the sea, especially by seafaring tribes. A temple
of Dagon, was located at Ashdod.
I Samuel 5:3-5
NLT
3 But when the citizens of Ashdod
went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to
the ground in front of The Ark Of The Lord! So they took Dagon and
put him in his place again.
4 But the next morning the same
thing happened—Dagon had fallen face down before The Ark Of The
Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were
lying in the doorway. Only the trunk of his body was left intact.
5 That is why to this day neither
the priests of Dagon nor anyone who enters the temple of Dagon in
Ashdod will step on its threshold.
Idols cannot stand
in the presence of the Lord.
Exodus 20:1-6
KJV
1 And God spake all these words,
saying,
2 I am The Lord thy God, which have
brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods
before Me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any
graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the
earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to
them, nor serve them: for I The Lord thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third

Philippians
2:10,11 KJV
10 That at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God The Father.
I Samuel 5:6 NLT
Then The Lord’s heavy hand struck
the people of Ashdod and the nearby villages with a plague of tumors.
I Samuel 5:6 KJV
But the hand of The Lord was heavy
upon them of Ashdod, and He destroyed* them, and smote them
with emerods*, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.
*Destroyed:
Hebrew Shamem (Shaw-Mame): To make desolate, destroy, make waste.
*Emerods: Hebrew
Ophel (O-fel): A tumor.
God killed scores
of the Philistines by mice and tumors (I Samuel 6:4).
I Samuel 5:7 NLT
7 When the people realized what was
happening, they cried out, “We can’t keep The Ark Of The God of
Israel here any longer! He is against us! We will all be destroyed
along with Dagon, our god.”
Israel, may have forgotten their God, but the philistines knew only
too well, that He was alive and well and able to slay all those who
dared to oppose Him.
I Samuel 5:8 NLT
8 So they called together the rulers
of the Philistine towns and asked, “What should we do with The Ark
Of The God Of Israel?” The rulers discussed it and replied, “Move
it to the town of Gath.” So they moved the Ark of the God of Israel
to Gath.
The five city Philistine
confederation, had made a decision.
I Samuel 6:17
NLT
"...the rulers of Ashdod, Gaza,
Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron."
I
Samuel 5:9 NLT
9 But when the Ark arrived at Gath,
the Lord’s heavy hand fell on its men, young and old; he struck
them with a plague of tumors, and there was a great panic.
I Samuel 5:9 KJV
And it was so, that, after they had
carried it about, the hand of The Lord was against the city with a
very great destruction: and He smote the men of the city, both small
and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.
Wherever The Ark
was moved the story was the same, disease, plague and death.
I Samuel 5:10-12
NLT
10 So they sent The Ark Of God to
the town of Ekron, but when the people of Ekron saw it coming they
cried out, “They are bringing The Ark Of The God Of Israel here to
kill us, too!”
11 The people summoned the
Philistine rulers again and begged them, “Please send The Ark Of
The God Of Israel back to its own country, or it will kill us all.”
For the deadly plague from God had already begun, and great fear was
sweeping across the town.
12 Those who didn’t die were
afflicted with tumors; and the cry from the town rose to heaven.
The Philistines
came to the place that owning The Ark Of The Covenant was not a
trophy to be admired, but something to be returned before all their
people were destroyed by the wrath of The God Of Israel.
I Samuel 4:3 NLT
"...and the elders of Israel
asked, “Why did The Lord allow us to be defeated by the
Philistines?...”
After The Ark had
been returned ….
I Samuel 7:3,4
NLT
3 Then Samuel said to all the people
of Israel, “If you are really serious about wanting to return to
The Lord, get rid of your foreign gods and your images of Ashtoreth.
Determine to obey only The Lord; then He will rescue you from the
Philistines.”
4 So the Israelites got rid of their
images of Baal and Ashtoreth and worshiped only The Lord.
And now an
interesting question.
Can God, send
disease, boils, ulcers, tumors, and death?
Surely a God of
love cannot do these things!
Wrong!
Nahum 1:2,3 NLT
2 The Lord is a jealous God, filled
with vengeance and rage. He takes revenge on all who oppose Him and
continues to rage against His enemies!
3 The Lord is slow to get angry, but
His power is great, and He never lets the guilty go unpunished.
Romans 12:19 KJV
Dearly beloved, avenge not
yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written,
Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith The Lord.
Hebrews 10:31
KJV
It is a fearful thing to fall into
the hands of The Living God.
Psalm 145:17 KJV
The Lord is righteous in all His
ways, and holy in all His works.
Ezekiel 8:9-18
NLT
9 “Go in,” He said, “and see
the wicked and detestable sins they are committing in there!”
10 So I went in and saw the walls
engraved with all kinds of crawling animals and detestable creatures.
I also saw the various idols worshiped by the people of Israel.
11 Seventy leaders of Israel were
standing there with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan in the center. Each of
them held an incense burner, from which a cloud of incense rose above
their heads.
12 Then The Lord said to me, “Son
of man, have you seen what the leaders of Israel are doing with their
idols in dark rooms? They are saying, ‘The Lord doesn’t see us;
he has deserted our land!’”
13 Then The Lord added, “Come, and
I will show you even more detestable sins than these!”
14 He brought me to the north gate
of the Lord’s Temple, and some women were sitting there, weeping
for the god Tammuz.
15 “Have you seen this?” He
asked. “But I will show you even more detestable sins than these!”
16 Then He brought me into the inner
courtyard of The Lord’s Temple. At the entrance to the sanctuary,
between the entry room and the bronze altar, there were about
twenty-five men with their backs to the sanctuary of The Lord. They
were facing east, bowing low to the ground, worshiping the sun!
17 “Have you seen this, son of
man?” He asked. “Is it nothing to the people of Judah that they
commit these detestable sins, leading the whole nation into violence,
thumbing their noses at Me, and provoking My anger?
18 Therefore, I will respond in
fury. I will neither pity nor spare them. And though they cry for
mercy, I will not listen.”
Dear friend, is your life filled with idols? False gods of wealth, power and influence,
worldly possessions, etc. etc. which occupy your life.
Our God, is a
jealous God!
Idolatry is a sin.
Forsake idols and
turn to the Living God, who is a God of love and forgiveness.
I John 1:8,9 KJV
8 If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for
either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold
to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon
(wealth).
I John 2:15-17
KJV
15 Love not the world, neither the
things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of
the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the
lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,
is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and
the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Bible Questions Answered:
“....seeing how God is a God of love,
why would he send people deception?”

Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
II Thessalonians 2:9-12 KJV
9 Even him
(Anti-Christ), whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the
love of The Truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall
send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned
who believed not The Truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Isaiah 66:3,4
KJV
3 "...Yea, they have chosen
their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their
delusions, and will bring their fears upon them;
because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not
hear: but they did evil before Mine eyes, and chose that in which I
delighted not.
John 3:36 KJV
He that believeth on The Son hath
everlasting life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see
life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Romans 1:18,21-32 KJV
18 For the wrath of God is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who
hold The Truth in unrighteousness;
21 Because that, when they knew
God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became
vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be
wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the
uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to
birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them
up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to
dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed The Truth of God into
a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than The Creator,
who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them
up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the
natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men,
leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward
another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving
in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to
retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a
reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all
unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;
whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God,
despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to
parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant
breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God,
that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do
the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
When men, refuse to
hear The Truth, then God will give them, What They Want, lies,
deceptions and, delusions, etc. etc., for these are the opposite of
The Truth.
John 3:15-21 KJV
15 That whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that
He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the
world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be
saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because
he hath not believed in the name of The Only Begotten Son Of God.
19 And this is the condemnation,
that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than
light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil
hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should
be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to
the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought
in God.
Deuteronomy
28:1-68 KJV (Prophecy made true for Israel, 70 A.D. Under Titus
of Rome.)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou
shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of The Lord thy God, to
observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day,
that The Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the
earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come
on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of
The Lord thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city,
and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy
body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the
increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and
thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou
comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies
that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall
come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The Lord shall command the
blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest
thine hand unto; and He shall bless thee in the land which The Lord
thy God giveth thee.
9 The Lord shall establish thee an
holy people unto Himself, as He hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt
keep the commandments of The Lord thy God, and walk in His ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall
see that thou art called by the name of The Lord; and they shall be
afraid of thee.
11 And The Lord shall make thee
plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy
cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which The Lord
sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The Lord shall open unto thee His
good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his
season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend
unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And The Lord shall make thee the
head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt
not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of The
Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do
them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from
any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or
to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if
thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe
to do all his commandments and His statutes which I command thee this
day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city,
and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and
thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy
body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the
flocks of thy sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou
comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20 The Lord shall send upon thee
cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand
unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish
quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast
forsaken Me.
21 The Lord shall make the
pestilence cleave unto thee, until He have consumed thee from off the
land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22 The Lord shall smite thee with a
consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an
extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with
mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23 And thy heaven that is over thy
head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24 The Lord shall make the rain of
thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee,
until thou be destroyed.
25 The Lord shall cause thee to be
smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them,
and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the
kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat
unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no
man shall fray them away.
27 The Lord will smite thee with the
botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the
itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28 The Lord shall smite thee with
madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday,
as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy
ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no
man shall save thee.
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and
another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou
shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not
gather the grapes thereof.
31 Thine ox shall be slain before
thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be
violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored
to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt
have none to rescue them.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall
be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail
with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might
in thine hand.
33 The fruit of thy land, and all
thy labors, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou
shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34 So that thou shalt be mad
for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35 The Lord shall smite thee in the
knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from
the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36 The Lord shall bring thee, and
thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither
thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other
gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt become an
astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither The
Lord shall lead thee.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out
into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall
consume it.
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and
dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the
grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40 Thou shalt have olive trees
throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the
oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and
daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into
captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy
land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee
shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou
shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the
tail.
45 Moreover all these curses shall
come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou
be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of The Lord
thy God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded
thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a
sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
47 Because thou servedst not the
Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the
abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine
enemies which The Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in
thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put
a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49 The Lord shall bring a nation
against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the
eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance,
which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favor to the
young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy
cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which
also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase
of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all
thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou
trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all
thy gates throughout all thy land, which The Lord thy God hath given
thee.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of
thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the
Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness,
wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54 So that the man that is tender
among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his
brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of
his children which he shall leave:
55 So that he will not give to any
of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he
hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith
thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman
among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon
the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil
toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her
daughter,
57 And toward her young one that
cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she
shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in
the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee
in thy gates.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do
all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou
mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God;
59 Then The Lord will make thy
plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues,
and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long
continuance.
60 Moreover He will bring upon thee
all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall
cleave unto thee.
61 Also every sickness, and every
plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will The
Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62 And ye shall be left few in
number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because
thou wouldest not obey the voice of The Lord thy God.
63 And it shall come to pass, that
as The Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so
The Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to
nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest
to possess it.
64 And The Lord shall scatter thee
among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other;
and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy
fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65 And among these nations shalt
thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but
The Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of
eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And thy life shall hang in doubt
before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none
assurance of thy life:
67 In the morning thou shalt say,
Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were
morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and
for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
68 And The Lord shall bring thee
into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee,
Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your
enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
II Chronicles
7:14 KJV
If My people, which are called by My
name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn
from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 If you suffer, however, it must

Is Wrong Because, One Of God's Purposes For Mankind Is That Of
Procreation:

like these children.”

them before He left.

laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this Foundation gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the
day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the
fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
