Bible Questions Answered: Prophecies-Unfulfilled

Bible Questions Answered:
What prophecies are there yet to come?
Isolde /Solingen, West Germany

Bible Answers:
The rebirth of the Roman Empire, a ten nation confederacy, which we see forming today.

A Russian attack on Israel, with all their allies.
(The fulfillment of this may be before the rapture or soon thereafter)

Christians believe the most eminent event is that of the rapture of the church, “the secret, catching away,” of the bride of Christ.

The beginning of the time known as the Tribulation.

The unveiling of the superman, the Anti-Christ.

The unveiling of the false prophet and, world, pagan religious system, and its church (This could be before, the unveiling of the Anti-Christ).

The Anti-Christ will make a seven year peace treaty with Israel, which he will break mid-term, ending in the abomination of desolation.

The two witness warning the world of terrible judgments, they are martyred, along with countless others, confessing Christ.

World wide catastrophic judgments, Revelations', Seal, Trumpets, and Bowl judgments.

The seven year “Tribulation-Period (Day of Jacob's Trouble,” ends with the battle of Armageddon.

Babylon, seat of commerce, and of false piety, destroyed.

Tribulation ends with the second coming of Christ, with His saints, to end war, and to separate the sheep from the goats.

Satan will be taken, and bound in the “bottomless pit,” for a period of one thousand years.

The Millennial Kingdom of Christ begins.

The last satanic attack, occurs at the end of the Millennial age, God sends fire from heaven to devours them all, Satan cast into the lake of fire.

Great White Throne Judgment, all evil resurrected, and those alive, judged and sent to the lake of fire.

A new heaven, and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Bible Lesson: Parable-Our Lord's- The Sower

Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's
Parable: The Sower (Matthew 13:1-9/ Mark 4:3-9/ Luke 7:5-8).

Below is the parable of the sower, and Christ's explanation which appears latter in the chapter.

Metaphor: A figure of speech containing an implied comparison, in which a word or phrase ordinarily and primarily used of one thing is applied to another.
(New World Dictionary)

Jesus is here talking about husbandry, but He had a spiritual reference to the field of the heart, as He went on to explain to His disciples.

Matthew 13:1-9 KJV
[1] The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
[2] And great multitudes were gathered together unto Him, so that He went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
[3] And He spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

A)
[4] And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

[18] Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
[19] When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Who hasn't been out in the country side at one time or an other and seen the birds, after seed planting, looking for seeds to eat.
Circling, and scratching, and some are found and eaten.

Our Lord, who had come from His throne in heaven, and who knew only to well the spiritual enemies of man, likened this seed stealing to Satan's forces stealing away the word from the hearts of those who had heard it.

And Satan, does this, if we but hear the Word of God, and do not Understand it!
It becomes so much water under the dam.
How many times have you sat in church, and let your mind wonder, to the sound of the speakers message, a message he no doubt has labored over with much prayer, only to have it, put you to sleep.

Danger, danger, Satan, and his emissaries are working, right in the most holy place, God's sanctuary!
With what authority are they at such liberty?
Why with the authority you have given them!

Circling, and scratching, with fiendish claws of evil, they steal, steal away, precious life giving seed!

A homely homily:
For years, this once young preacher, would go three, four times a week to a dear pastor's office as a teen, wanting to know, wanting to understand better “what saith the Lord.”
And if it was in the Word, why weren't we doing it that way, or why weren't we following the Bible example etc. etc.
It was one cold day, on such a visit, that the dear man of God, reached for his coat and said, you know I'd like to take you to a church that thinks more like you do, he did, and I am glad that he did, for in his church, things weren't necessarily based upon the word.

Friend, you must “understand the word,” for it ever to take root and bear fruit in your life.
If you are not overly concerned, your life will “not,” overly be a blessing to anyone, for your tree, is without fruit.
Stop the enemy, challenge your mind, to hear, and understand the truth of the Word of God.

B)
[5] Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
[6] And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

[20] But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
[21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Verse six, “no root.”
Oh, yes there may very well be a lovely plant above ground, for what a plant can not do in the soil, it often over compensates for above the soil.
But, no plant can survive very long, that way, for it has no nutrient.

How like so many, a great show in church, religious circles, yes, but really without any roots.
When the sun of hardship, discouragement, character, come, they wither and die, for they have, “no root.”

To be a Christian, means that one is “growing in faith.”

Hebrews 5:12-14 KJV
[12] For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
[13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
[14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:12-14 NLT
12 You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.
13 For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right.
14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

James 1:5 KJV
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

C)
[7] And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

[22] He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

There can only be one word that properly describes this, and that is the word, “application.
All the Biblical knowledge in the world, does one, no good, if not put into application.

James 4:17 KJV
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Matthew 7:15-20 KJV
[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

You may be known as a “walking Bible, and many are (due to a photographic memory, hardly a sign of spirituality), but just what are the “fruits of your life?
We must “not,” recognize men, by any ability to quote scripture, even Satan, can do this (Matthew 4:6), but, Jesus says, by their fruits.
How do they live, are they living of the gospel, or merely reciting it? Does their way of living, give “life,” to others, or does it cause them to wither and die?

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV
[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
[2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
[5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
[6] For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

God's trees, yield live giving fruit!

D)
[8] But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
[9] Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

[23] But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Fruit, for the Master of the harvest, some one hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Why the different rewards?

See ….
Rewards For The Christian
Crowns-Different

Succinctly stated, character, motives, labor, all play a part at the time of works being judged.

Good ground, where understanding is at tune, growth encouraged, and application is foremost, the little lowly seed of the gospel, may take root, and grow.
Growing into a fine fruit laden tree, of life giving nourishment.

Is that your life?
With the help of our Lord, it can be, reverently ask Him now.

Bible Questions Answered: Rich Young Ruler

Bible Questions Answered:
When I read the story of the rich young ruler, I see that if he had only done the right works, he would have been in the kingdom, do you see this?
Miron /Wolomin, Poland

Bible Answers:
No, and here's why.

Matthew 19:16-22 KJV
[16] And, behold, one came and said unto Him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
[17] And He said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
[18] He saith unto Him, Which? Jesus said,
Thou shalt do no murder, (Exodus 20:13 commandment # six.)
Thou shalt not commit adultery, (Exodus 20:14 commandment # seven.)
Thou shalt not steal, (Exodus 20:15 commandment # eight.)
Thou shalt not bear false witness, (Exodus 20:16 commandment # nine.)
[19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, (Exodus 20:12 commandment # five.)
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Exodus 20:17 commandment # ten.)

(Christ asked the young man concerning commandments five through ten, but omitted commandments one through four, which are....

Exodus 20:3 commandment # 1 “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”

Exodus 20:4-6 commandment # 2
[4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me;
[6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.

Exodus 20:7 commandment # 3
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.

Exodus 20:8 commandment # 4 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. “

[20] The young man saith unto Him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
[21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me.
[22] But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
[23] Then said Jesus unto His disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[24] And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
[25] When His disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
[26] But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:16-26 NLT
16 Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?”
17 “Why ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.”

18 “Which ones?” the man asked. And Jesus replied:
“‘ You must not murder.
You must not commit adultery.
You must not steal.
You must not testify falsely.
19 Honor your father and mother.
Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

20 “I’ve obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else must I do?”
21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
25 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.
26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

This story lies in two parts,

Part I
The rich young ruler addressed Jesus as “Good Master*” -Matthew 19:16)

* Master: Greek- Didaskalos (did-as-kal-os): Instructor, doctor, teacher, master.
In John 1:38 rendered Rabbi/ John 20:16 -Rabboni.

Jesus responded, “Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: - Matthew 19:17.)

Had the you ruler thought Jesus to be God?
No, for when he responded again, he did not use the phrase.

Part II
Jesus then responded, “but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.-
Matthew 19:17.)

Christ then went on to name five commandments, five through ten.

The “self-righteous,” young man boasted....
All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? - Matthew 19:20.)

Jesus knew the heart of the young man.

Psalm 139:1-4 KJV
[1] O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
[2] Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
[3] Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
[4] For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

Hebrews 4:12,13 KJV
[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
[13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Matthew 19:21 KJV
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me.

Jesus knew the young man neglected the first four commandments.

Matthew 19:22 KJV
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

John 8:9 KJV
"And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone..."

Proverbs 1:29 KJV
He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Sinful man cannot keep the law.

Romans 3:28 KJV
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Galatians 2:16 KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 3:11 KJV
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Man hopes to manufacture his own means of salvation, but he is self-deceived.

Jeremiah 17:9 KJV
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5-7 KJV
[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
[6] Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
[7] That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Romans 5:8,9 KJV
[8] But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[9] Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. (Not of human works.)

The Love of Money:

Greed: Excessive desire for getting or having, wealth; desire for more than one needs or deserves; avarice. (New World Dictionary)

Ephesians 5:1-6 NLT
1 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are His dear children.
2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.
5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey Him.

Did you notice the bedfellows of greed?
Sexual Immorality, Impurity, obscene stories, foolish talk, coarse jokes, immoral, impure, idolater.

You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God

I Timothy 6:9 KJV
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

I Timothy 1:19 KJV
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

The end of the matter:

I John 2:15-17 KJV
[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

[16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

[17] And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

I Peter 4:17 KJV
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Bible Questions Answered: Generation-This

Bible Questions Answered:
This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled, ...what is a generation, mentioned here?
Roberta/ Woodland, California

Bible Answers:

Matthew 24:32-36 KJV
[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
[34] Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
[36] But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Generation: Gena-Greek (Ghen-eh-ah): The period or the persons; age, generation, time. (Abingdon's Strong's Concordance)
Generation: The people living in a certain period of time. (Law of first reference-Matthew 1:17.)

Back in patriarchal times …the longest a generation could be:

Genesis 15:16 NLT (God told Abram.)
After four generations your descendants will return here to this land, for the sins of the Amorites do not yet warrant their destruction.”

Exodus 12:40 NLT (The night of the Passover, in Egypt.)
The people of Israel had lived in Egypt for 430 years.

What was a patriarchal generation? Four hundred and thirty divided by four, reveals that a generation was 107.5 years!

Abraham, himself did not have a son until he was one hundred years old.
Genesis 17:17-19 KJV
[17] Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
[18] And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
[19] And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

A generation, others:

Psalm 95:10 KJV
Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
A generation, forty years.

Job 42:16
After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
A generation, one hundred and forty years divided by four, equals thirty five years.

In Matthew 24:34, who is our Lord referring to? (Must read the whole chapter -24.)
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

1)Christ was referring to the Jewish nation as a whole, they would not pass from the scene, they would be “kept,” by the power of God.
2)Christ was referring to His church, His bride, who would not pass from the scene, till all things would be fulfilled, “kept,” by the power of God.
3)Both, are true.

When does this “last generation,” begin?
No one knows for sure, but others say yes we do know by the signs given by the Lord Jesus.
What are the “last generation, signs.”

Matthew 24:32,33 KJV
[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Who is this fig tree? It is the nation of Israel.

Fig Tree

Fig Tree-Part 2

In November 1917 came the Balfour Declaration.
The British government, declared that a Jewish “national home,” be established in Palestine! (The budding of the fig tree.)

According to Christ, the last generation will see the “beginning of sorrows. (verse 8).

Matthew 24:3-8 KJV
[3] And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world (age)?
[4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

1)Deceivers:
2)War-nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.
3)Famines.
4)Pestilences (Plaques)
5)Earthquakes.

Deceivers at this time were in abundance, so called “Divines,” claiming to be God.

Some believe that the greatest war was that of WWI 1914-1918 (1917-1918 U.S. involvement.), estimates of some thirty seven million dead.

This war was followed by famine (1918-1921), with Russia and China with millions of dead. Five thousand dead daily in China, thirty thousand dead daily in Russia.

Not far away came the plague (Spanish Influenza), with a death total globally greater than that of the war.

Earthquake followed this deadly procession, with two hundred thousand dead, in inland China (15,000 sq. miles). Two yeas later, an earthquake hit Japan, killing some one hundred and fifty thousand individuals.

Was this the “beginning of sorrows,” Christ spoke of?
If it was, just how close are we to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, for His church?

To quote just a few:

Dr. A.C. Gaebelein, “World War I, marks the beginning of the end time.”

Dr. Billy Graham, “...I believe we are part of the last generation.”

Matthew 24:36,42 KJV
[36] But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
[42] Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Romans 13:11 KJV
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

I Thessalonians 5:6 KJV
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Dear friend do you know the Saviour?

Bible Lesson: Parable-Our Lords-Seed And It's Growth

Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's

Parable: The Seed and it's growth:

Mark 4:30-34 KJV

30 And He said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:

32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

33 And with many such parables spake He the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.

34 But without a parable spake He not unto them: and when they were alone, He expounded all things to His disciples.

Mark 4:26-29 KJV
[26] And He said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
[27] And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
[28] For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
[29] But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Oh the mystery of the lonely seed.
It has been said many times that archaeologists have discovered seeds in the tombs of ancient mummies. Taken those seeds and planted them, and have seen them grow, even though they were thousands of years old!

Only God can make a (genetically designed) seed!
Only God can make it grow!
And Only God can sustain it!

Quietly, while men sleep, out in the field, buried in the earth, the seed, breaks forth into the plant God has so designed it to be.
Tragically, miracles, in abundance, loose their awe.
Yet this processes takes place some where every hour of every day on our earth.

Now, our Lord likens the growth of the Kingdom of God, to the lowly seed.
Quietly, unassumingly, the little seed, receives nutriment from the heavenly husbandman (caretaker), and it begins to grow and reach out.

John 3:8 KJV
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

I Corinthians 3:5-9 KJV
[5] Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
[6] I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
[7] So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
[8] Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
[9] For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

I Corinthians 3:5-9 NLT
5 After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us.
6 I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.
7 It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.
8 The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.
9 For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.

Every day, beneath the radiant “Light of the World,” precious seeds reach for heavenly nourishment, are filled and grow.

Ephesians 4:13 KJV
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Job 17:9 KJV
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

Psalm 92:12 KJV
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Proverbs 4:18 KJV
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Ephesians 3:17-19 KJV
[17] That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
[18] May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
[19] And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Harvest Time:

John 4:35,36 KJV
[35] Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
[36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

Mark 13:26,27
[26] And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
[27] And then shall He send his angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Separation of good and evil:

Matthew 13:30 KJV
[30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

II Peter 3:9-11 KJV
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
[11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Bible Questions Answered: Sowing And Reaping

Bible Questions Answered:
Three years ago I received the Lord into my life, but I am sickly and wonder if the Lord hears me, if I'm really forgiven.
Jesper/ Copenhagen, Denmark

Bible Answers:

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 10:43 NLT
He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in Him will have their sins forgiven through His name.

Acts 13:38,39 NLT
38 Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.
39 Everyone who believes in Him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do.

I John 3:14 KJV
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

I John 5:1 NLT
"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God..."

It is the living God's will, that all would come to the Lord Jesus and claim Him as their Saviour.

I Timothy 2:4 KJV
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Once born again, our God, gives us His grace, while burying our sins.

II Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Psalm 103:12 KJV
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.

Titus 3:7 KJV
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Well if this is all true, and it of course is, why then may a Christian be sick, have enemies, etc..etc..etc..
One reason is because of the law of, “ sowing and reaping.”

Galatians 6:7,8 KJV
[7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
[8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

A simple homily:
A workman may drive a nail into a wall, and later decide that he should remove it, and so he does.
Yet one thing remains, the hole, the nail made.

Yes, God's word says that He forgives sin, and buries it in the depths of the sea, the greatest vault on earth.
And yet, that is not to say that the consequences of sin will also be removed, what a warning to one and all, this should be!

Time and time again, God has warned mankind not to enter into the ways of sin, and one reason why is because of it's consequences.

Matthew 7:13,14 KJV
[13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Proverbs 13:15 KJV
"...the way of transgressors is hard."

Job 15:20 KJV
"The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days,..."

Psalm 107:17 KJV
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Romans 2:9 KJV
"Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil..."

Proverbs 14:12 KJV
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Isaiah 59:6-8 KJV
[6]...their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
[7] Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
[8] The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

Can God, deliver one from the consequences of the past?
Yes, but whether He does or not, is up to Him.

Have individuals been delivered from sickness, addictions, failure of health, due to the sins of the past?
Yes!

But, again, this is in the sovereignty of God.

What should a person do?
Prayer is the first key, pray and ask God, for healing, deliverance etc.
If God answers, give Him, the glory.

Job 34:28 KJV
"...He heareth the cry of the afflicted."

Proverbs 15:29 KJV
The LORD is far from the wicked: but He heareth the prayer of the righteous.

If God decides, not to change your situation, your answer may well be the answer given to the Apostle Paul (not that Paul's case was due to personal sin, it was not).

II Corinthians 12:7-10 KJV
[7] And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
[8] For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
[9] And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
[10] Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

One thing you can claim for sure, that is strength from God!

II Samuel 22:33 KJV
God is my strength and power: and He maketh my way perfect.

Psalm 73:26 KJV
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Isaiah 40:31 KJV
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 41:10 KJV
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.

There is coming a “Glorious Day,” when in a moment, a twinkling of an eye, all things will be changed, including sick and dying bodies and forever, for the children of God.
That will be liberation day, that will be Glorification Day, and it's coming!

I Corinthians 15:51-58 NLT
51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!
52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.
53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

Amen

Bible Questions Answered: Hunting

Bible Questions Answered:
Hunting season is coming, what do we read about in the Bible, about hunting?
Ralph / Great Falls, Montana

Bible Answers:

Perhaps the most interesting thing we could say regarding this subject, is that do you know who the first hunter was?
It was God.

Because of the sinful rebellion of Adam and his wife, …

Genesis 3:7 KJV
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Oh the heart of sinful man, and his ingenuity to hide his sin.

Proverbs 14:12 KJV
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Proverbs 28:13 KJV
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

I John 1:9,10 KJV
[9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

A fig covering, would not do!

Genesis 3:21 KJV
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Hebrews 9:22 KJV
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Hebrews 9:22 NLT
In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

Now, we see the condemnation of Cain (Genesis 4:1-7).
Man made atonement though ingenious, is “not,” acceptable to Almighty God.

No doubt many were the times, when parents, Adam and Eve told the story of how that God, sacrificed the first animal in the garden, so that He could cover their rebellious lives.

Did you also know that no one ate animals, until “after,” the flood!
What then was Adam?
A Vegetarian!

After the flood, even vegetation was for the most part dead.
The thing to eat then of course was of the animal stock taken on board, this all in the wisdom and provision of God.

Genesis 9:1-4 KJV
[1] And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
[2] And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
[3] Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
[4] But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

Genesis mentions a mighty hunter, a man by the name of Nimrod.

Genesis 10:9 KJV
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

Of course we know of David, shepherd, with his sling, protecting his sheep.

I Samuel 17:34-37 KJV
[34] And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
[35] And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
[36] Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine (The giant Goliath- I Samuel 17:49-50) shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
[37] David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

And there of course was Esau...

Genesis 27:1-4 KJV
[1] And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
[2] And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:
[3] Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
[4] And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.

Hunting instruments used, as already mentioned, the sling, the bow and arrow, darts or short spears, and the longer spear, the javelin, and no doubt the knife, or lance, net, pit, and snare.

The sling, a piece of narrow cloth, wound around one finger, leaving a loop of cloth to hold a stone, the other end held between thumb and forefinger.

The snare,
a small branch bent to the ground and secured, attached to a noose of a cord. The slightest upset of the cord or branch, meant a captured animal.

The Pit
consisted of an open hole in the ground, covered carefully with branches and the like to disguise it.

The net
, not only used for fishing, but in the capturing of birds. A net would be strung between trees, birds at night, would be caught in it's grasp.

(See: Jeremiah 5:26/ Proverbs 7:23/ Psalm 124:7)

II Samuel 23:20 KJV
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lion like men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

Animals hunted: (They were of course the, Kosher, or clean animals according to Levitical laws.

Gazelles, goats, jackals, lions, others and clean birds of prey.
Catching wild, “clean,” animals meant, that a Jewish farmer, might save his own livestock for other use.

Now just as our Conservation Dept. has determined the time and limits of the hunting season, so to, hunting had it's limits in Biblical days.

Exodus 23:10,11 KJV
[10] And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof (including animal life):
[11] But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

Leviticus 25:1-7 NLT
1 While Moses was on Mount Sinai, the Lord said to him,
2 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you have entered the land I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath rest before the Lord every seventh year.
3 For six years you may plant your fields and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops,
4 but during the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the Lord’s Sabbath. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during that year.
5 And don’t store away the crops that grow on their own or gather the grapes from your unpruned vines. The land must have a year of complete rest.
6 But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own during its Sabbath. This applies to you, your male and female servants, your hired workers, and the temporary residents who live with you.
7 Your livestock and the wild animals in your land will also be allowed to eat what the land produces.

Psalm 147:9 KJV
He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

God's mercy a lesson for us:

Lamentations 3:22 KJV
It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.

Proverbs 11:17 KJV
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

Luke 6:36 KJV
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Isaiah 58:10 KJV
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

Matthew 5:7 KJV
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Bible Lesson: Parables-Our Lord's-The Grain Of Mustart Seed

Bible Lesson: Our Lord's Parables

The Grain Of Mustard Seed:

Matthew 13:31,32 KJV
[31] Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
[32] Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Mark 4:30-32 KJV
[30] And He said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
[31] It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
[32] But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

Luke 13:18,19 KJV
[18] Then said He, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
[19] It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

That the mustard tree can grow into a great tree, is evidenced by the silence of Christ's critics, the Scribes and Pharisees, they knew very well it was true.

In the Talmud (Of Babylon), a story is told of a Jewish Rabi that stated, “a man of Sichem had bequeathed to him by his father three boughs of mustard; one of which broken off from the rest, yielded nine kabs of seed, and the wood of it was sufficient to cover the potter's house.” (KTB J.B. Sanders)

The Kingdom of heaven started small, yes it was insignificant, but has grown from that small humble seed, into a great tree spreading forth it's branches.
Great and strong branches where upon the fowls come and make their nests.

And what are these birds?

In this great tree, are those who have come to find shelter and life through it's nutrition, which this tree so generously offers, but there are others also.

Mark 4:15 KJV
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Messengers of Satan, fowls, that steal away the precious seed.

Revelation 18:1,2 KJV
[1] And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Satan and his ranking emissaries, are not hold up in the confines of the abyss, but working, deceiving and putting to slumber those who have no root within themselves.

These evil birds, servants of Satan, nest in the very tree of the kingdom of heaven, looking for prey.

Matthew 7:20-23 KJV
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

They are oh so religious, yet Jesus said they are workers of iniquity.
In the branches of the “Tree of the Kingdom,” the Church, are found, evil workers of the enemy!

Ephesians 2:7-9 KJV
[7] That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves (through religious works,of any kind, including giving, etc.):
it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works (through religious works,of any kind, including giving, etc.),
lest any man should boast.

It is Satan's deepest desire to destroy mankind, because he is God's creation, in the image of God, and Satan hates God.

John 8:44 KJV
Ye (the Pharisees) are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Judge all things by “Thus saith the Lord.”

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Psalm 19:7 KJV
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Make Jeremiah's words you goal every day.

Jeremiah 15:16 KJV
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Bible Questions Answered: Agnosticism-Atheism-Humanism

Bible Questions Answered:
If the people are not Christian, what are they?
Olona/ Port Elizabeth South Africa

Bible Answers:
The short answer, of course is, lost.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 4:12 NLT
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Lost humanity may be categorized into at least three categorizes.

Agnostics: (New World Dictionary)
The human mind cannot know whether there is a God or ultimate cause, or anything beyond material phenomena.

This is the skeptic, the doubter, he may seek after truth, but is not sure he can never know absolute truth.

What a shame!

Jeremiah 9:24 KJV
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Hosea 6:3 NLT
Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him.
He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.

John 7:16,17 KJV

Colossians 2:1-3 NLT (The Apostle Paul)
1 I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally.
2 I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ Himself.
3 In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

I Thessalonians 1:5 NLT
For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you.

II Timothy 1:12 KJV (Apostle Paul)
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.

Hebrews 10:22,23 KJV
[22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
[23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)

I John 2:3 KJV
And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

Atheists: (New World Dictionary)
A person who believes there is no God.
This person rejects and denies any and all existence of God.

Psalm 14:1 KJV

Proverbs 30:7-9 KJV
[7] Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
[8] Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
[9] Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

I Corinthians 1:18;27-29
[18]For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
[27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
[28] And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
[29] That no flesh should glory in His presence.

I John 2:22,23 KJV
[22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
[23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:.."

The Humanist: (New World Dictionary)
A modern nontheistic, rationalist movement that holds that man is capable of self-fulfillment, ethical conduct, etc. without recourse to supernaturalism.

Man is his own god, man has the answers!

Proverbs 16:25 KJV
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Jeremiah 17:5,9 KJV
[5] Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
[9] The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Proverbs 12:15 KJV
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Proverbs 15:9 KJV
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but He loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

Matthew 7:13 KJV
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Romans 1:22 KJV
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Man kind, certainly does not have the answers, and one reason why they do not, is because, no two of them agree as touching anything!
What is up to one, is down to another, and with no standard, other than the human mind, and opinion, no one is right, no one is wrong.

In Boulder, Colorado, we have what is called The National Bureau of Standards.
Here every form of measurement is known and calibrated.
Here exact artifacts of what a foot of measurement equals, is kept.
What and exact inch is etc. etc. all kinds of measurements.
The NSB, is where all the standards are kept, all other measuring devises must comply to these standards, or they are “not,” accurate!

What kind of world would we have if no two measurements were the same?

Man kinds thinking left to themselves and all their conflicting views, are sure of nothing!

Here is the end of Man's ingenuity and inventiveness.

Revelation 6:12-17 KJV
[12] And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
[13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
[14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
[15] And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
[16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
[17] For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Heavens Standard:

Proverbs 29:18 KJV
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Isaiah 8:20 KJV
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Matthew 4:4 (Jesus)
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

John 12:48 KJV (Jesus)
He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Galatians 1:8 KJV
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Humanism, states that mankind is “getting better and better every day in every way.”

Humanism at work:

James 4:1,2 KJV
[1] From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
[2] Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

America's past, oh the ingenuity and inventiveness of mankind!
And what of your country?

John 3:16-21 KJV
[16] For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 6:37 KJV
All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

II Chronicles 7:14 KJV
If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Bible Lesson: Disguises Of The Devil

Bible Lesson: The Disguises of the Devil:

Father of Lies, Liar:

Genesis 3:4,5 KJV
[4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
[5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

John 8:44 KJV
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Lucifer, son of the morning:

Isaiah 14:12 KJV
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Leviathan-Serpent:

Isaiah 27:1 KJV

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

The Devil:

Matthew 4:1 KJV

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Beelzebub (Greek): Prince of demons:

Matthew 12:24 KJV

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

The Wicked One:

Matthew 13:38,39 KJV

[38] The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
[39] The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Murderer:

John 8:4 KJV

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Prince of this world:

John 12:31 KJV

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

God of this world:

II Corinthians 4:4 KJV

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Belial, worthless, title of satan:

II Corinthians 6:15 KJV

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Angel of Light:

II Corinthians 11:14-15 KJV

[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The prince of the power of the air:

Ephesians 2:2 KJV

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Ruler of the darkness of this world:

Ephesians 6:12 KJV

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Tempter:

I Thessalonians 3:5 KJV

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

One that has the power of Death:

Hebrews 2:14 KJV

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Our Adversary:

I Peter 5:8 KJV

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Abaddon-Apollyon, Destroyer:

Revelation 9:11 KJV

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Devil, Satan:

Revelation 12:9 KJV

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The Accuser of the brethren:

Revelation 12:10 KJV

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Deceiver:

Revelation 20:10 KJV

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Ephesians 6:10-17 KJV
[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

James 4:7 KJV
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Luke 10:16-20 KJV
[16] He that heareth you heareth Me; and he that despiseth you despiseth Me; and he that despiseth Me despiseth Him that sent Me.
[17] And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
[18] And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
[19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
[20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
