[34] Verily I say unto you, This generation (Nation of Israel) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The Fig Tree is a symbol of the nation of Israel.

Luke 21:24 KJV
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

All through,these "Times of the Gentiles," nations have come, and still yet to this day, plan to come against Israel, but she shall not pass, till all things be fulfilled (For She is Divinely kept by the hand of Almighty God).
