Bible Lesson: Cherished Promises To The Child Of God: For God's Adoptive Child.

Bible Lesson: Cherished Promises To The Child Of God: For God's Adopted Child.

Bible Text:

Romans 8:15-18,22,23 KJV
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received The Spirit Of Adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of The Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

The Lord's Request:

Romans 8:17 KJV
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him...”

Hebrews 12:7 KJV
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom The father chasteneth not?

The Lord's Promise:

Romans 8:17 KJV
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Hebrews 2:11 KJV
For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Child of God, you have been adopted into the family of God!

Galatians 4:4-7 KJV
4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth The Spirit Of His Son into your hearts, crying,
Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Ephesians 1:4-6 NLT
4 Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.
5 God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through
Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.
6 So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son.

Suffering With The Lord:

Psalm 34:19 KJV
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but The Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Matthew 5:10-12 KJV
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 10:22,38 KJV
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me.

Matthew 11:28 KJV
Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mark 13:13 KJV
And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Luke 9:23-26 KJV
23 And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it.
25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

Luke 14:27 KJV
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.

John 16:33 KJV
These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Acts 5:41 KJV
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Romans 5:3-5 KJV
"... we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 8:17,18,35-39 KJV
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 12:14 KJV
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

I Corinthians 10:13 NLT
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.

II Corinthians 1:3-7 NLT
3 All praise to God, The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our Merciful Father and the source of all comfort.
4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with His comfort through Christ.
6 Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.
7 We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.

II Corinthians 4:8-10,17 KJV
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of The Lord Jesus, that the Life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

II Corinthians 12:7-10 KJV
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought The Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Philippians 1:29 KJV
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake;

Philippians 3:8-11 KJV
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

II Thessalonians 1:1-12 KJV
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and The Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and
The Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of The Lord, and from the glory of His power;
10 When He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace of our God and The Lord Jesus Christ.

II Timothy 1:8 KJV
So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for Him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of The Good News.

II Timothy 2:3,4 KJV
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

II Timothy 3:12 KJV
Yea, and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Hebrews 12:10,11 NLT
10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in His holiness.
11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

James 1:2-4,12 KJV
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which The Lord hath promised to them that love Him.

James 5:10,11 KJV
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of
The Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of The Lord; that The Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

I Peter 1:6,7 KJV
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

I Peter 3:14,17 KJV
14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

I Peter 4:1,12-19 KJV
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for
The Spirit Of Glory And Of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto A Faithful Creator.

Revelation 2:10 KJV
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 21:3-5 KJV
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new..."

We Are The Children Of God:

Matthew 5:9 KJV
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 12:50 KJV
For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, and sister, and mother.

John 1:12,13 NLT
12 But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.
13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

Romans 8:29 KJV
For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be The Firstborn among many brethren.

II Corinthians 6:17,18 KJV
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith
The Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be A Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith The Lord Almighty.

Galatians 3:26-29 KJV
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Ephesians 2:18,19 NLT
18 Now all of us can come to The Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.
19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.

I John 3:1 KJV
Behold, what manner of love The Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.

As Christians, we have been adopted into the very family of God, and become heirs of Christ.
Nevertheless the order of life has never changed, first the cross, then the crown. Will life contain suffering, many are suffering right now around the world for their faith. Whatever comes our way, we know that our Lord, will never leave or forsake us, one day He will reward the faithful.

Hebrew 13:5 KJV
"... For He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

I Corinthians 2:9 KJV
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

Prayer:

Romans 5:7,8 KJV
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but The Gift Of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

I John 3:1 KJV
Behold, what manner of love The Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God..."

I Belong To The King

I belong to The King; I’m a child of His love,
I shall dwell in His palace so fair,
For He tells of its bliss in yon heaven above,
And His children in splendor shall share.

Refrain

I belong to The King; I’m a child of His love,
And He never forsaketh His own.
He will call me some day to His palace above;
I shall dwell by His glorified throne.

I belong to The King, and He loves me I know,
For His mercy and kindness so free
Are unceasingly mine wheresoever I go,
And my Refuge unfailing is He.

Refrain

I belong to The King, and His promise is sure:
That we all shall be gathered at last
In His kingdom above, by life’s waters so pure,
When this life with its trials is past.

Judgment Of Evil Spirits

Bible Questions Answered:
“...man to be judged at great throne judgment, but when so evil spirits judged?...”
Refiloe/ Gauteng Kempton Park, South Africa

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Lucifer (Satan, the Devil), and his fallen angels, have already been judged, only their sentence is waiting.

John 16:11 NLT
"... the ruler of this world has already been judged."

Who are the evil angels?

Hebrews 1:13,14 KJV
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

This speaks of God's good angels, they minister to the child of God.
God's ministers help and bless His children, they are the angles of God.

Satan's (angels) ministers are sent to torment and oppress men, they are fallen angels.
II Corinthians 11:14,15 KJV
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers* (angels) also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness (Deceivers); whose end shall be according to their works (Judgment).

Ministers-Greek: Diakonia (Dee-ak-on-ee-ah): To run on errands; an attendant, minister, servant.

Evil Spirits Sentenced:

Job 4:18 KJV
"...His angels He charged with folly:

Matthew 8:28,29 KJV
28 And when He was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son Of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

II Peter 2:4 KJV
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

One school of thought here is that, not all evil angels were chained in darkness, only the more powerful ones. Meaning that throngs of others were left for Satan's bidding, here on earth.

Jude 1:6 KJV
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

What will be the final abode of Satan and his evil angels?

Matthew 25:41 KJV
Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Revelation 20:10 KJV
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Prayer:

John 3:36 KJV
He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Calamities And Disasters

Bible Questions Answered:
“...doesn't bad weather etc. come to those who deserve it?...”
Randy/Wenatchee, Washington  U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Luke 13:1-5 ERV
1 Some people there with Jesus at that time told Him about what had happened to some worshipers from Galilee. Pilate had them killed. Their blood was mixed with the blood of the animals they had brought for sacrificing.
2 Jesus answered, “Do you think this happened to those people because they were more sinful than all other people from Galilee?
3 No, they were not. But if you don’t decide now to change your lives, you will all be destroyed like those people!

4 And what about those 18 people who died when the tower of Siloam fell on them? Do you think they were more sinful than everyone else in Jerusalem?
5 They were not. But I tell you if you don’t decide now to change your lives, you will all be destroyed too!”

Here we are given two questions presented to Jesus, having to deal with different calamities.

The first tells of some Galilaeans who Pilate had murdered, their blood was mixed with the animals blood in the sacrifices they had made.

We are not told what these Galilaeans had done, nor does Jesus stop to discuss the direct will of God, versus His permissive will, as far as their deaths were concerned.

What or who causes disasters, was never discussed with Jesus:

God:
Jonah 1:4 KJV (John 9:2)
But The Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

The Devil:
Matthew 8:23,24 KJV (Job 1:12/2:6; Matthew 14:24)
23 And when He was entered into a ship, His disciples followed Him.
24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves..."

Nature:
Matthew 16:2,3 KJV
2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

What Jesus does address, is the frailty of life, and the danger of not being prepared for death and its reward!

Hebrews 9:27 KJV
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Luke 13:2,3 KJV
2 Jesus answered, “Do you think this happened to those people because they were more sinful than all other people from Galilee?
3 No, they were not. But if you don’t decide now to change your lives, you will all be destroyed like those people!

The Galilaeans disaster was not caused by their being more sinful than others.
The Galilaeans disaster, was not their deaths.....it was their not being spiritually prepared to meet God!

Luke 13:4,5 ERV
4 And what about those 18 people who died when the tower of Siloam fell on them? Do you think they were more sinful than everyone else in Jerusalem?
5 They were not. But I tell you if you don’t decide now to change your lives, you will all be destroyed too!”

Apparently the wall of Jerusalem, had a tower, the Tower of Siloam, and it fell, killing some 18 people.

Was it God, that did it, through His direct will, or His permissive will? Then again was it the work of the devil, or of nature itself, its foundation becoming bad?

These two stories show us two things:
1) Disaster, does not mean that the people involved were worse sinners than all others.
2) Calm (no disaster), does not mean that the people are more righteous than all others.

Our Lord, does “not,” bother to answer many questions, rather, much rather His concern is the eternal state of those who died!

Verse 5 “... if you don’t decide now to change your lives, you will all be destroyed too!”
The implication here, they had not given their lives over to The Lord, and so that they met both physical and spiritual destruction.

All kinds of calamities and disasters will come and go, according to our Lord, our time should not be spent so much on where they come from, as to what will be their result, eternal judgment and God's wrath or eternal bliss with The Savior.

This moment is all that we have, choose the Savior, we have no promise of our next breath!

Proverbs 27:1 KJV
Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

II Corinthians 6:2 NLT
For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed,
the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

Hebrews 4:7 KJV
"...Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.

Revelation 3:20 NLT
Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in..."

Dear friend, open the door of your heart, now, and invite The Savior in.

John 3:36 KJV
He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Bible Lesson: Cherished Promises To The Child Of God: Abiding In The Vine.

Bible Lesson: Cherished Promises To The Child Of God: Abiding In The Vine.

Bible Text:

John 15:1-8 KJV
I am The True Vine, and My Father is The Husbandman (The Gardener NLT).
2 Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through The Word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in The Vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.
5 I am The Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.

The Lord's Request: Abide In The Vine (Christ).

John 15:4 KJV
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in The Vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.

The Lord's Promise: A Fruitful Life Of Answered Prayer.

John 15:5,7 KJV
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much..."
7 If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Oh the many precious promises in The Word, for the child of God, and here is one of them.
Our Lord referred to Himself as a farmer, a merchant of pearls, and a man seeking treasure, etc.
Here He represents Himself as a Vine, in a garden.

He tells us that He is The True Vine, we are the branches, The Gardner, is The Father. Only as we abide in Him, will we be able to have our desires answered and produce fruit.

One cannot be in the vine one day, and out of the vine the next, one must “abide in The Vine” always.

Illustration:
A man was a deacon (A choice calling) in his church. After some years, some noticed he'd be in church and than be absent from his church. Home one Sunday or two and then gone the next. When asked why he had been absent on Sunday, he replied “There was a camp meeting over at....city,” he said. Turned out he would run off to where ever he thought there was a revival going on.

James 1:6-8 KJV
6 "...he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of The Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

That man had no business being a deacon, and it wasn't long until he was removed!

Here is The Bible's answer to that mans unfruitfulness.

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of The Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For The Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Did you spot the answer?

God's people, spoken of in this Psalm, as in the story of The True Vine, Must Be Anchored!

Psalm 1:3 KJV
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

John 15:5 KJV
“...He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.

QUESTION:
What kind of tree, ever bore fruit, that was in one end of town, one day, and then in another end of town the next day, depending upon which way the wind blew?

ANSWER:
None!

That is not a tree, a planting of The Lord, that is something called Sage Brush, a bush blown by the wind, and good for nothing.

Are there individuals like this in the church, running off to one meeting after another, while doing nothing to be faithful, or to build their own church, yes!

James 1:6,7 KJV
6 "...he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of The Lord.

Jesus said, we “must,” abide in The Vine!
God's people are “planted,” their roots go down deep for living water, and so their fruit gives life to all who are nourished by it.

We are Christian people, followers of The Lord Jesus Christ, when faithfulness, and commitment is found in our lives.

Dedicated Christians, you know where you will find them on Sunday morning, Bible School, Sunday morning worship, Sunday night, prayer service and Wednesday night Bible Study, they'll be in church!
Dedicated Christians, you know they will gladly volunteer to teach a Sunday School Class.
Dedicated Christians, you know they are happy and ready to witness of their faith, wherever they are.
Dedicated Christians, you know they elect Christian Politicians and educational leaders.
Dedicated Christians, you know they are tithers, and beyond this, they are those who bring “offerings of love” to keep the work of The Lord, Church and Missions, strong and flourishing.
Dedicated Christians, you know live a life of prayer, fasting and Bible reading.
Dedicated Christians, you know visit the aged, poor and sick, with comfort, food and prayer.
Dedicated Christians, you know them when you see them, they don't dress, and talk like the world, because they are “separate” from the world.
Dedicated Christians, you know that whatever talents they possess, they will be used “humbly,” for The Lord,” who gave them.
Dedicated Christians, you know they bring up their family in The Word, prayerfully censoring what their children read, watch and hear.
Dedicated Christians, lighten a room, for the joy of The Lord, is their strength.
Dedicated Christians live in the shadow of The Almighty, for they abide in The Vine.
Dedicated Christians, etc. etc. etc.

Dear Christian, did you see yourself here?
Pastor, no one lives like that today, we try some, that's all that matters, don't lay down some kind of guilt trip on us!”

Oh no, well Elijah felt rejected in his day. Hiding in a cave, tearfully thinking he alone had done his best, no one else had done what he had, and he was all alone.

Oh how wrong he was, and The Lord, took the time to tell him so!

I Kings 19:14,15,18 KJV
14 And he (Elijah) said, I have been very jealous for
The Lord God of Hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
15 And the Lord said unto him...
18 "...I have left Me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Thank God, for all the Dedicated Christian people in this world today, take heart, reward day draws near, the coming of our Lord draws near.

Not on this list of dedicated Christians, but you can be!
All it takes is a sincere prayer.

Oh, Lord, please help me for the strength, to be a shinning light for you, one
which never dims or goes out. A light that shines more and more, unto that perfect day.
Amen

Many today, gladly sing, pleading with the Lord, abide with me!

Abide With Me

Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word;
But as Thou dwell’st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.

But, maybe we need a song, one that asks the question....
(Am I Abiding In The Vine)

Have I Done My Best For Jesus?

I wonder have I done my best for Jesus,
Who died upon the cruel tree?
To think of His great sacrifice at Calvary!
I know my Lord expects the best from me.

Refrain:
How many are the lost that I have lifted?
How many are the chained I’ve helped to free?
I wonder, have I done my best for Jesus,
When He has done so much for me?

The hours that I have wasted are so many
The hours I’ve spent for Christ so few;
Because of all my lack of love for Jesus,
I wonder if His heart is breaking too.

I wonder have I cared enough for others,
Or have I let them die alone?
I might have helped a wand’rer to The Savior,
The seed of precious Life I might have sown.

No longer will I stay within the valley
I’ll climb to mountain heights above;
The world is dying now for want of someone
To tell them of The Savior’s matchless love.

John 6:37,47 KJV
37 “...him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.”
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.

Romans 12:1 NLT
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him.

Word Of God And It's Inerrancy

Bible Questions Answered:
“Is the bible the only source of spiritual truth, or are there others as well?...”
Janet/ Long Beach, California U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

For the Christian, and for the church of The Lord Jesus Christ, The Bible is “Sola Scriptura.”

Sola Scriptura:
Sola scriptura (Latin: by Scripture alone) is a Christian theological doctrine which holds that the Christian Scriptures are the supreme authority in all matters of doctrine and practice.
Wikipedia

Biblical Inerrancy:

Isaiah 8:20 KJV
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no Light in them.

Isaiah 40:8 KJV
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but The Word of our God shall stand for ever.

Matthew 5:18 KJV
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 4:1-11 KJV (In His disputing with the devil, Jesus always answered...It Is Written)
1 Then was Jesus led up of The Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward an hungered.
3 And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If thou be The Son Of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto Him, If thou be The Son Of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give His angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Psalm 91:11,12 KJV
11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh Him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto Him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship
The Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth Him

Matthew 24:35 KJV
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.

Luke 16:17 KJV
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

John 10:35 KJV
"...the scripture cannot be broken;

John 17:17 KJV
Sanctify them through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth.

I Corinthians 2:13 KJV
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which
The Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

I Thessalonians 2:13 NLT
Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received His message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very Word Of God—which, of course, it is. And this Word continues to work in you who believe.

II Thessalonians 2:14,15 NLT
14 He called you to salvation when we told you The Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter.

II Timothy 3:16 KJV
All scripture is given by inspiration* of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Inspiration: Greek-Theopneustos (Theh-op-nyoo-stos): From two words: Theo-God/ and Pneustos-breath or breathing. Divinely breather: given by inspiration of God. God breathed.

Hebrews 6:18 NLT
So God has given both His promise and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.

II Peter 1:20,21 KJV
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved* by The Holy Ghost.

Moved-Greek: Phero (Fer-o): To bear, to carry.

Holy men of God, were carried along by The Holy Spirit, speaking God Breathed Words.

Revelation 22:18,19 KJV
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of The Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of The Book Of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book.

Clement of Rome 1st century A.D. “Look carefully into the Scriptures, which are the true utterances of The Holy Spirit. Observe that nothing of an unjust or counterfeit character is written in them.”

Irenaeus 202 A.D. “The Scriptures are indeed perfect, since they were spoken by the Word of God and His Spirit.”

Jesus believed The Word, and quoted it.
John 10:34/ Psalm 82:6
Matthew 22:31-32/ Exodus 3:6
Matthew 22:43-44/ Psalm 110:1

The Apostle Paul believed The Word, and he too quoted it.
Galatians 3:16/ Genesis 12:7, 13:15, 22:18, 24:7,

The Anvil of God's Word

“Last eve I paused beside the blacksmith’s door,
And heard the anvil ring the vesper chime;
Then looking in, I saw upon the floor,
Old hammers, worn with beating years of time.

“‘How many anvils have you had,’ said I,
‘To wear and batter all these hammers so?’
‘Just one,’ said he, and then with twinkling eye,
‘The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.’

“And so, I thought, the Anvil of God’s Word
For ages skeptic blows have beat upon;
Yet, though the noise of falling blows was heard,
The Anvil is unharmed, the hammers gone.”

John Clifford

I Peter 1:25 KJV
But The Word of The Lord endureth for ever. And this is The Word which by The Gospel is preached unto you.

Prayer:

John 3:36 KJV
He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.”

Rewards - Lost

Bible Questions Answered:
“...that's when we will be rewarded for all our good deeds?...”
Howard/

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Not All Good Deeds Will Be Rewarded!
This is the teaching of our Lord.

Matthew 5:46 KJV
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Matthew 6:1-8,16-18 NLT
1 Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.

2 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
3 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

(Teaching about Prayer and Fasting)

5 “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you The Truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.
6 But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

7 “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.
8 Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him!

16 “And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you The Truth, that is the only reward they will ever get.
17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face.
18 Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Luke 6:35,36 NLT
35 “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of The Most High, for He is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.
36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

II John 1:7-9 NLT
7 I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an Antichrist.
8 Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.
9 Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both The Father and The Son.

Rewards Based On Motives:

Matthew 10:26 KJV
"...for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

I Corinthians 4:5 KJV
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until The Lord come, who both will bring to Light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts..."

I Corinthians 3:13-15 KJV
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Revelation 21:10,11,27 KJV
10 And he carried me away in The Spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie..."

Revelation 3:11 KJV
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 22:12 KJV
And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Prayer:

I John 1:8-10 KJV
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.
