Messiah's Resurrection.
Bible Text:
Psalm 16:10 NLT
For you will
not leave My soul among the dead (Sheol) or allow your Holy One to
rot in the grave.
Psalm 49:15 KJV
But God will
redeem My soul from the power of the grave: for He shall receive Me.
Selah.
Matthew 16:21 KJV
From that time forth began Jesus to
shew unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and
suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and
be killed, and be raised again the third day.
Matthew 26:32
KJV
But after I am risen again, I will
go before you into Galilee.
Mark 9:9 KJV
And as they came down from the
mountain, He charged them that they should tell no man what things
they had seen, till The Son Of Man were risen from the dead.
John 2:19-21 KJV
19 Jesus answered and said unto
them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six
years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three
days?
21 But He spake of the temple of His
body.
Acts 26:22,23
KJV
22 Having therefore obtained help of
God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great,
saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did
say should come:
23 That Christ should suffer, and
that He should be The First that should rise from the dead, and
should shew Light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
Prophecy Fulfillment.
Bible Text:
Matthew 28:5-10 KJV
5 And the angel answered and said
unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was
crucified.
6 He is not here: for He is risen,
as He said. Come, see the place where The Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell His
disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth
before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you.
8 And they departed quickly from the
sepulcher with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples
word.
9 And as they went to tell His
disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came
and held Him by the feet, and worshiped Him.
10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not
afraid: go tell My brethren that they go into Galilee, and there
shall they see Me.
Mark 16:6 KJV
And he saith unto them, Be not
(frightened): Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: He is
risen; He is not here: behold the place where they laid Him.
Luke 24:6,36-48 KJV
6 He is not
here, but is risen: remember how He spake unto you when He was yet in
Galilee,
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus
Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be
unto you.
37 But they were terrified and
(frightened), and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And He said unto them, Why are ye
troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold My hands and My feet, that
it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and
bones, as ye see Me have.
40 And when He had thus spoken, He
shewed them His hands and His feet.
41 And while they yet believed not
for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave Him a piece of a
broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And He took it, and did eat
before them.
44 And He said unto them, These are
the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all
things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and
in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.
45 Then opened He their
understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is
written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the
dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission
of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning
at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these
things.
John 20:20 KJV
And when He had so said, He shewed
unto them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when
they saw The Lord.
Acts 2:23,24 NLT
23 But God knew what would happen,
and His prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed.
With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed Him to a cross and
killed Him.
24 But God released Him from the
horrors of death and raised Him back to life, for death could not
keep Him in its grip
Acts 3:14,15 KJV
14 But ye denied The Holy One and
The Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 And killed The Prince Of Life,
whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
Acts 4:33 KJV
And with great power gave the
apostles witness of the resurrection of The Lord Jesus: and great
grace was upon them all.
Acts 10:39-41
KJV
39 And we are witnesses of all
things which He did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem;
whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40 Him God raised up the third day,
and shewed Him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto
witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with
Him after He rose from the dead.
Acts 17:2,3 NLT
2 As was Paul’s custom, he went to
the synagogue service, and for three Sabbaths in a row he used the
Scriptures to reason with the people.
3 He explained the prophecies and
proved that The Messiah must suffer and rise from the dead. He said,
“This Jesus I’m telling you about is the Messiah.”
Romans 1:4 KJV
And declared to be The Son Of God
with power, according to The Spirit Of Holiness, by the resurrection
from the dead:
Romans 4:25 KJV
Who was delivered for our offenses,
and was raised again for our justification.
I Corinthians
15:3-8 KJV
3 For I delivered unto you first of
all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures;
4 And that He was buried, and that
He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that He was seen of Cephas,
then of the twelve:
6 After that, He was seen of above
five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto
this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, He was seen of James;
then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all He was seen of me
also, as of one born out of due time.
Ephesians
1:19-22 KJV
19 And what is the exceeding
greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the
working of His mighty power,
20 Which He wrought in Christ, when
He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own Right Hand in the
heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and
power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not
only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under His
feet, and gave Him to be The Head over all things to the church,
I Thessalonians
4:14 KJV
For if we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring
with Him.
I Peter 1:3 KJV
Blessed be The God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath
begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead,
The Apostle Paul's
remarks regarding resurrection:
I Corinthians
15:12-22 KJV
12 Now if Christ be preached that He
rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no
resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection
of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then
is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false
witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that He raised up
Christ: whom He raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is
not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your
faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen
asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope
in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from
the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man (Adam)
came death, by man (Second
Adam-Christ) came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so
in Christ shall all be made alive.
Our
Promise Of Resurrection:
John 5:25 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The
hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of
The Son Of God: and they that hear
shall live.
John 6:40 KJV
And this is the will of Him that
sent Me, that every one which seeth The Son, and believeth on Him,
may have everlasting Life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 11:25 KJV
Jesus said unto her (Martha),
I am The Resurrection, And The Life: he that believeth in Me, though
he were dead, yet shall he live:
II Corinthians
4:14,16 KJV
14 Knowing that He which raised up
The Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us
with you.
16 For which cause we faint not; but
though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by
day.
Prayer:
Romans
10:9 KJV
That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved.
Christ,
The Lord, Is risen Today
Christ, The Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
