11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto Me? saith The Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before Me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread My courts?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto Me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hateth: they are a trouble unto Me; I am weary to bear them.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Isaiah 5:20,21 KJV
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Isaiah 65:5 NLT
Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

Jeremiah 2:35 NLT

Ezekiel 33:31,32 KJV
31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as My people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

Malachi 2:17 KJV
Ye have wearied The Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied Him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of The Lord, and He delighteth in them; or, Where is
The God of judgment?

Matthew 6:5 KJV
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 15:8,9 KJV
8 This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoreth Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me.
9 But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

1 Now The Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

II Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Titus 1:16 KJV

Revelation 11:10 KJV (Jerusalem's two witnesses slain)
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. (Killed by the beast.)

The world couldn't be more spiritual, of course its a “false, evil spirituality.
God created man, (a Creator's right), to be a spiritual being, needing to be one with and worshiping The God Of All Creation.

"you have made us and drawn us to yourself, and our heart is unquiet until it rests in you."
From the Confessions
Saint Augustine of Hippo

Man, has an innate spiritual craving, that nothing may take away. The enemy knowing this, makes sure he, satisfies such a need.

The worlds biggest spiritual revival, now in its latter day inception, will be a sinister and dark
renaissance of abject evil, culminating with the worship of its architect, Satan, and his anti-Christ.

Revelation 13:1-4 NLT
1 Then I saw a beast (The anti-Christ) rising up out of the sea. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns. And written on each head were names that blasphemed God.
2 This beast looked like a leopard, but it had the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion! And the dragon (Satan-the serpent) gave the beast his own power and throne and great authority.
3 I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery—but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast.
4 They worshiped the dragon (Satan) for giving the beast (The anti-Christ) such power, and they also worshiped the beast. “Who is as great as the beast?” they exclaimed. “Who is able to fight against him?”

The end of Christianity, Never! Yes thousands of Christians are being slain at the hands of radical Islamists, but this is not the end of the story.

Homily:
This pastor may have told this story before, but it certainly bears repeating.
My father a lay evangelist in the state of California (Lewis J. Reine), had a vision one day, that he would never forget.

In vision he saw two massive dogs, one a pure white dog, thee other a black dog. As they came together, it was a heinous assault, each had thee other by the neck. My father watched as he could see the tremendous strain on the animals, for each had the other in a death grip. As they stood trembling , he could see blood starting to stream from the neck of each dog.

It looked like the white dog was going to go down, it was shaking and looking weak from the battle,
just then,.....the black dog, dropped to the ground, dead.

My father never forgot the vision, and he believed that it was an illustration from The Lord to him, that Cheer up, God is “not,” dead, but alive, and He has “not,” forgotten His faithful people, they will be victorious!

Satan will have his day, and he is working none stop, because

Revelation 12:12 KJV
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

But Satan's time will come to an end!

Matthew 25:31-34;41,46 KJV (Christ's second coming.)
31 “But when The Son Of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His glorious throne.
32 All the nations will be gathered in His presence, and He will separate the people as A Shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33 He will place the sheep at His right hand and the goats at His left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.
41 “Then The King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.
46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

We live in a world today, that longs for a spiritual awakening, of Godless influence. And they will have It, but they will regret forever their decision.

Hebrews 4:7 KJV
"...To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.
