For we are laborers together with
God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

Our heavenly Father, has called us as
Christian people, to be both branches of The Vine, producing fruit,
and a part of His great Storehouse.
The Word:
John 15:1-8 KJV
1 I am The True Vine, and My
Father is The Husbandman.
2 Every branch in Me that beareth
not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He
purgeth (prunes) it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through The Word
which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the
branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in The Vine; no
more can ye, except ye abide in Me.
5 I am The Vine, ye are
the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in Me, he is
cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and
cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in Me, and My Words
abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto
you.
8 Herein is My Father glorified,
that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.
Hebrews 12:1-13
NLT (God’s Discipline Proves His Love)
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded
by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip
off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so
easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has
set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on
Jesus, The Champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of
the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
3 Think of all the hostility He
endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give
up.
4 After all, you have not yet given
your lives in your struggle against sin.
5 And have you forgotten the
encouraging words God spoke to you as His children? He said, “My
child, don’t make light of The Lord’s discipline, and don’t
give up when He corrects you.
6 For The Lord disciplines those He
loves, and He punishes each one He accepts as His child.”
7 As you endure this divine
discipline, remember that God is treating you as His own children.
Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?
8 If God doesn’t discipline you as
He does all of His children, it means that you are illegitimate and
are not really His children at all.
9 Since we respected our earthly
fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the
discipline of The Father of our spirits, and live forever?
10 For our earthly fathers
disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But
God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in
His holiness.
11 No discipline is enjoyable while
it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a
peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this
way.
John 15:2 KJV
and every branch that beareth fruit,
He purgeth (prunes) it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
12 So take a new grip with your
tired hands and strengthen your weak knees.
13 Mark out a straight path for your
feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become
strong.
Deuteronomy 28:8
NLT
The Lord will guarantee a blessing
on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The
Lord your God will bless you in the land He is giving you.
Proverbs 3:9-12
NLT
9 Honor The Lord with your wealth
and with the best part of everything you produce.
10 Then He will fill your barns with
grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
11 My child, don’t reject The
Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when He corrects you.
12 For The Lord corrects those He
loves, just as A Father corrects a child in whom He delights.
Haggai 2:19 NLT
I am giving you a promise now while
the seed is still in the barn. You have not yet harvested your grain,
and your grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, and olive trees have
not yet produced their crops. But from this day onward I will bless
you.”
Matthew 13:30
KJV
Let both grow together until the
harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather
ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:
but gather the wheat into My barn.
Metaphor
A figure of speech
in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not
literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance, as in “A
mighty fortress is our God.”.
Dictionary.Com
God's people,
have been likened to both the crop, and the building that stores
them.
As a branch of The
Vine, to be fruitful, our God tells us, must be purged (i.e. pruned).
Does the branch feel any pain? Yes, but The Husbandman does it so
that our fruit will become much more abundant.
Hebrews 12:7 KJV
As you endure this divine
discipline, remember that God is treating you as His own children...”
God's people a
spiritual building, God's storehouse.
Ephesians
2:19-22 KJV
19 Now therefore ye are no more
strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of
The Household Of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation
of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being
The Chief Corner Stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly
framed together groweth unto
an holy temple in The Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded
together for an habitation of God through The Spirit.
Our God is at work
in His garden (the world).
Dear Christian,
take heart, keep your eyes fixed on The Champion of our faith.
Isaiah 61:3 KJV
To appoint unto them that mourn in
Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that
they might be called
trees of righteousness, the
planting of The Lord, that He might be glorified.
