Bible Lesson: Prophecies And Their
Fulfillment.
Bible Prophecy: Messiah, Prayed
For His Enemies.
Bible Text:
Psalm 109:4 NLT
I love them, but they try to destroy
Me with accusations even as I am praying for them!
Isaiah 53:12 KJKV
Therefore will I divide Him a
portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the
strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was
numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and
made intercession for the transgressors.
Prophecy Fulfillment:
Bible Text:
Luke 23:34 KJV
Then said
Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they
parted His raiment, and cast lots.
Hanging on His
cross, our Savior, prayed for His enemies.
Everyone has
enemies. There are spiritual enemies, and earthly enemies.
I Peter 5:8-11 KJV
8 Be sober, be
vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist
steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are
accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But The God
Of All Grace, who hath called us unto His Eternal Glory by Christ
Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect,
establish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To Him be
glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Matthew 10:24,25
KJV
24 The disciple
is not above his Master, nor the servant above his Lord.
25 It is enough
for the disciple that he be as his Master, and the servant as his
Lord. If they have called The Master Of The House Beelzebub, how much
more shall they call them of His household?
Duty
To Enemies:
Exodus 23:4 KJV
If thou meet
thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it
back to him again.
Proverbs 24:17
KJV
Rejoice not
when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he
stumbleth:
Proverb 25:21,22
KJV
21 If thine
enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give
him water to drink:
22 For thou
shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and The Lord shall reward
thee.
Matthew 5:43,44
KJV
43 Ye have
heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate
thine enemy.
44 But I say
unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to
them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you;
Matthew 18:21,22
KJV
21 Then came
Peter to Him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against
me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith
unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy
times seven.
Romans 12:9,10
NLT
9 Don’t just
pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold
tightly to what is good.
10 Love each
other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each
other.
Romans 12:19-21
KJV
19 Dearly
beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for
it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith The Lord.
20 Therefore if
thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so
doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not
overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Prayer:
Psalm 143:10 KJV
Teach me to do
thy will; for thou art my God: thy Spirit is good; lead me into the
land of uprightness.
