Mind Of Christ

Bible Questions Answered:
“How do we get the mind of Christ?”
Mitchel/ Adelaide, South Australia

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

I Corinthians 2:16 KJV
For who hath known the mind of The Lord, that he may instruct Him? but we have
The Mind Of Christ.

The brain is the vessel of all thoughts. To know ones thoughts is to know their mind, and we can know the mind, the very thoughts of Christ, we can know them through His Word.

The Word Of God, are the very thoughts of God.
The Psalmist knew well the secret of having the mind of The Lord.

Psalm 119:11,97 KJV
11 Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

Joshua 1:8 KJV
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Psalm 1:1,2 KJV
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in The Law Of The Lord; and in His Law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalm 104:34 KJV
My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in The Lord.

Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Philippians 2:5-11 NLT
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
6 Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
7 Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form,
8 He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
9 Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God The Father.

Philippians 4:8 KJV
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I Timothy 4;13,15,16 KJV
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

II Timothy 1:7 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

I Peter 1:13-16 NLT
13 So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.
14 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.
15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.
16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”

I Peter 4:1,2 KJV
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Not to have the mind of Christ, is to be carnally minded.
If our body, soul and mind have not been washed clean by The Blood Of Christ, and our names written in the book of Life, then...

Matthew 15:19 KJV
...out of (our) heart (will) proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Proverbs 15:26 KJV
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to The Lord..."

Romans 8:6-9 KJV
6 For to be carnally (Fleshly appetites, sensual.) minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity (Hatred) against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in The Spirit, if so be that The Spirit Of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not The Spirit Of Christ, he is none of His.

Our Lord's message to His people, in a sinful world....

Jeremiah 4:14 KJV
O Jerusalem (God's people), wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Psalm 19:14 KJV
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my
Strength, and my Redeemer.
