Old Testament Saints-Salvation

Bible Questions Answered:
“We are saved by the blood of Christ, by what then Old Testament believers saved?...”
Bruna/ Minas Gerais, Brazil South America

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

In Old Testament days, when living in faith and obedience, it was said that …

Galatians 3:6 KJV
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Psalm 32:1 KJV
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

For Christians today we know....

I John 1:7,9 KJV
7 But if we walk in The Light, as He is in The Light, we have fellowship one with another, and
the Blood Of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.
9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

But there is more that must be said!

Revelation 13:8 KJV
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship Him, whose names are not written in the book of life of The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

In this truth, we see that God's Son, in every sense, died for faithful believers from O. T. days as well as all souls after Calvary. Is the atonement of our Savior retroactive? Absolutely!

Romans 3:24,25 CEV
25-26 God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered His life’s blood, so that by faith in Him we could come to God.
And God did this to show that in the past (Days of the Old Testament.) He was right to be patient and forgive sinners. This also shows that God is right when He accepts people who have faith in Jesus.

And again...

Hebrews 9:15 CEV
Christ died to rescue those who had sinned and broken the old agreement (Old Testament-Covenant). Now He brings His chosen ones a new agreement (New Testament-Covenant) with its guarantee of God’s eternal blessings!

At Calvary, Jesus died for the sins of Old Testament believers, and New Testament believers! Truly He is …
Revelation 13:8 KJV “...The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Jesus Christ, God's Son, our perfect sacrifice for sin:

I Corinthians 5:7 KJV
"...For...Christ our Passover (Lamb) is sacrificed for us:

I Peter 1:18-20 KJV
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of A Lamb Without Blemish And Without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Revelation 7:8-12 KJV
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before The Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto The Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts (four living creatures), and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 15:2-4 KJV
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of The Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King Of Saints.
4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
