Christ-For Or Against
Bible Questions Answered:
“Among my friends some I like and
some I deeply love they are so close to me. Some I know I would never
have as friends. Very little is black and white, so why did Jesus say
friends or not friends, followers or enemies?...”

Bible Texts:
Luke 11:14-23 KJV
14 And He was casting out a devil,
and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out,
the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
15 But some of them said, He casteth
out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
16 And others, tempting Him, sought
of Him a sign from heaven.
17 But He, knowing their thoughts,
said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to
desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
18 If Satan also be divided against
himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out
devils through Beelzebub.
19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out
devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be
your judges.
20 But if I with the finger of God
cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
21 When a strong man armed keepeth
his palace, his goods are in peace:
22 But when a stronger than he shall
come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor
wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
23 He that is not with Me is
against Me: and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth. (See
also: Matthew 12:25-30/Mark 3:23-27/ Mark 9:40)
Homily:
My grandfather, on my mother's side, was an office worker for Soo
Line Railroad, for some 46 years. Needless to say, everyone in our
family is a railroad buff. We love to take a train, when we can!
One is either on the train, and going somewhere, or
not on the train, and going nowhere.
Is this a hard concept to understand?
Jesus said, either you are on board, (in the kingdom), or you are
not, and are lost!
There are no grey areas, no neutral zones, no happy mediums, no
middle grounds, and no way stations of indecision!
One is either receptive to this world's only Savior, or in denial of
Him, and lost.
Joshua 24:15 KJV
And if it seem
evil unto you to serve The Lord, choose you this day whom ye will
serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the
other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land
ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve The Lord.
Luke 16:13 KJV
No servant can
serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other..."
Luke 11:23 KJV
He that is not
with Me is against Me: and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth.
Gathering, the work and mission of The Lord, while scattering, the
work of Satan.
Luke 9:49,50 KJV
49 And John
answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name;
and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus
said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is
for us.
John thought that because the man, had not been called of Jesus, he
had no right to use His name.
But Jesus corrected him saying “ Forbid him not: for
he that is not against us is for us.”
This
man believed in the name, and the power of The Lord Jesus Christ, and
that He had come to liberate those that were bound. He had made his
decision, he followed The Lord Jesus Christ.
Now, someone may say today, “I have not yet decided for Christ,
maybe latter in life I will, I'm not sure.” Friend, you have made a
decision! You are against Christ! To not decide for, is to
decide against! If there is one thing our Lord eagerly wished
to make known it is this Truth!
Luke 11:23 KJV
He that is not
with Me is against Me..."
Jesus Christ, cannot be just someone you have heard about, or talked
about, that leaves you on thee outside of receiving Him, as your
“own-personal Savior!”
II Corinthians
6:2 KJV
(For He saith,
I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation
have I succoured (helped) thee: behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Hebrews 4:7 KJV
"...Today
if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts."
Proverbs 27:1
KJV
Boast not
thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring
forth.
James 4:13,14
KJV
13 Go to now,
ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and
continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye
know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is
even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth
away.
