the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear
of God.

Homily:
The Apostle talks about being yoked. Oxen are yoked with the express
purpose of plowing a field.
Any land owner knows that animals must be equally trained and
matched, the one to the other or chaos will result, for the stronger
will over power his mate, and they will travel in circles, or the
stronger will become weak because he has done the work alone, and
quit.
