Prayer Request:Lahore, Pakistan.
Prayer Request:
Please pray for Christian people of
Lahore, Pakistan.
Last Saturday, March 8th, a young
Muslim man, had a dispute with a Christian resident of Lahore. The
dispute turned deadly when the Muslim, accused the Christian of
blasphemy.
A large crowd of Muslims from a nearby
mosque quickly gathered, armed with steel rods and hammers, torched
and looted 170 Christian homes, sending hundreds of Christians
fleeing for their lives.
Akram Gill, local bishop stated that
what had started as simply a dispute between two men, resulted in
total chaos.
Police and Politicians afraid of the
Sunni Muslims, are hesitant in reforming laws fearing attacks, by
Muslim radicals.
Who would you want as your neighbor?

Matthew 5:38-48 KJV
(Jesus)
38 Ye have heard that it hath been
said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye
resist (revenge) not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy
right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at
the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee
to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and
from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been
said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your
enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of
your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the
evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love
you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren
only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as
your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Romans 12:9-21 NLT
9 Don’t just pretend to love
others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is
good.
10 Love each other with genuine
affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
11 Never be lazy, but work hard and
serve The Lord enthusiastically.
12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be
patient in trouble, and keep on praying.
13 When God’s people are in need,
be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you.
Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.
15 Be happy with those who are
happy, and weep with those who weep.
16 Live in harmony with each other.
Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And
don’t think you know it all!
17 Never pay back evil with more
evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are
honorable.
18 Do all that you can to live in
peace with everyone.
19 Dear friends, never take revenge.
Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I
will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says The Lord.
20 Instead, “If your enemies are
hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”
21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but
conquer evil by doing good.
Galatians 5:22-25 KJV
22 But the fruit of The Spirit is
love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against
such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have
crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in The Spirit, let us
also walk in The Spirit.
Colossians 3:12-15 NLT
12 Since God chose you to be the
holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted
mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 Make allowance for each other’s
faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, The Lord
forgave you, so you must forgive others.
14 Above all, clothe yourselves with
love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
15 And let the peace that comes from
Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called
to live in peace. And always be thankful.
II Timothy 2:24 NLT
A servant of The Lord must not
quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be
patient with difficult people.
I Peter 3:8,9
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind,
having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be
courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or
railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are
thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Please remember to
pray for Christians who are under persecution. Pray that they may
stand strong in their faith, in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:12
KJV
And, behold, I come quickly; and My
reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
