Spiritual Delusion

Bible Questions Answered:
“...she acts like shes Ok because her folks were big money people in the church...”
Tracy/ Lyneham, England United Kingdom

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Many, many people think they are “saved,” and yet, are not, and they are not because they have not followed The Word.

Mark 1:14,15 KJV
14 "...Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:8-11 KJV
8 But what saith it? The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

THE WORLD'S FALSE IDEAS OF SALVATION:

Salvation By Birthright:

John 1:12,13 ERV
12 But some people did accept Him. They believed in Him, and He gave them the right to become children of God.
13 They became God’s children, but not in the way babies are usually born. It was not because of any human desire or plan. They were born from God Himself.

John 3:9,10 KJV (John the baptist)
9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

John 8:41-44 KJV
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to Him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me.
43 Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My Word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in The Truth, because there is no Truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Salvation By Wealth:

Matthew 19:20-24 KJV
20 The young man saith unto Him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 Then said Jesus unto His disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Luke 12:19-21 KJV
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Salvation By Works (religious or secular):

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Romans 4:1-5 KJV (Be sure to read verses 6-25)
1 Abraham was, humanly speaking, the founder of our Jewish nation. What did he discover about being made right with God?
2 If his good deeds had made him acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about. But that was not God’s way.
3 For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned.
5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is
The Gift Of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Salvation By Presumption: (Some thing taken for granted, to assume, or suppose, there's always time.)

Proverbs 27:1 KJV
Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Acts 24:24,25 NLT
24A few days later Felix came back with his wife, Drusilla, who was Jewish. Sending for Paul, they listened as he told them about faith in Christ Jesus.
25 As he reasoned with them about righteousness and self-control and the coming day of judgment, Felix became frightened. “Go away for now,” he replied. “When it is more convenient, I’ll call for you again.”

James 4:13,14 KJV
13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Hebrews 4:7 KJV
"...To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.

Why would anyone follow one of these four ways of spiritual death, into hell?
They would because “they will not bow a knee to repent of their sins, to The Lord, nor forsake them!”

Many a dear soul is caught up in a, Confession, Repentance, Penance, cycle to earthly men.
And because there is no “forsaking of sin, the cycle is expected to go on as ad infinitum.

Can it be any wonder why our Lord, told the church of Matthew

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

A life that has “no,” personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is a spiritually dead life.
Religious works, no matter how grand, do not save anyone!

Titus 3:4-7 KJV
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of The Holy Ghost;
6 Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;
7 That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Prayer:

Matthew 7:21 KJV
Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.

8 But what saith it? The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
