Bible Lesson: Prophecies And Their
Fulfillment.
Bible Prophecy: Messiah's
Hands And Feet Pierced.
Bible Text:
Psalm 22:16 KJV (Hundreds
of years before Matthew 27:35.)
For dogs have
compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed Me: they
pierced My hands and My feet.
Zechariah 12:10
KJV (B.C. 487)
And I will pour
upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
The Spirit Of
Grace and of supplications (Prayer):
and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall
mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his Only Son, and shall be in
bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his Firstborn.
Prophecy Fulfillment:
John 20:24-28 KJV (A.D.
33)
24 But Thomas,
one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other
disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen The Lord. But he said
unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails,
and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand
into His side, I will not believe.
26 And after
eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them:
then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and
said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith
He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach
hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless,
but believing.
28 And Thomas
answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.
John 19:37 KJV
(A.D. 33)
And again
another scripture saith, They shall look on Him whom they pierced.
Revelation 1:7
KJV (A.D. 96)
Behold, He
cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which
pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him.
Even so, Amen.
II Corinthians
5:21 NLT
For God (the
Father) made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our
sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Our dear Savior, was pierced for you and me. He took upon Himself
your sins and mine.
This is the day of The Gentiles, and The Church, but there is coming
a day when The Jewish Nation, will have their eyes opened, and
Zechariah says of that day.....
Zechariah
12:1-14 NLT (B.C. 487)
1 This message
concerning the fate of Israel came from The Lord: “This message is
from The Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of
the earth, and formed the human spirit.
2 I will make
Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations
stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah.
3 On that day I
will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather
against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves.
4 “On that
day,” says The Lord, “I will cause every horse to panic and every
rider to lose his nerve. I will watch over the people of Judah, but I
will blind all the horses of their enemies.
5 And the clans
of Judah will say to themselves, ‘The people of Jerusalem have
found strength in The Lord of Heaven’s Armies, their God.’
6 “On that
day I will make the clans of Judah like a flame that sets a woodpile
ablaze or like a burning torch among sheaves of grain. They will burn
up all the neighboring nations right and left, while the people
living in Jerusalem remain secure.
7 “The Lord
will give victory to the rest of Judah first, before Jerusalem, so
that the people of Jerusalem and the royal line of David will not
have greater honor than the rest of Judah.
8 On that day
The Lord will defend the people of Jerusalem; the weakest among them
will be as mighty as King David! And the royal descendants will be
like God, like
The Angel Of
The Lord who goes before them!
9 For on that
day I will begin to destroy all the nations that come against
Jerusalem.
10 “Then I
will pour out a Spirit Of Grace and Prayer on the family of David and
on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on Me whom they have
pierced and mourn for Him as for an Only Son. They will grieve
bitterly for Him as for a Firstborn Son who has died.
11 The sorrow
and mourning in Jerusalem on that day will be like the great mourning
for Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo (It
was here that King Josiah was slain.).
12 “All
Israel will mourn, each clan by itself, and with the husbands
separate from their wives. The clan of David will mourn alone, as
will the clan of Nathan,
13 the clan of
Levi, and the clan of Shimei.
14 Each of the
surviving clans from Judah will mourn separately, and with the
husbands separate from their wives.
The crucified Savior, did “not,” stay on the cross, He is seated
at the right hand of The Father in heaven, as our High Priest,
Intercessor.
Acts 7:55,56 KJV
55 But he
(Stephen), being full of The Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into
heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right
hand of God,
56 And said,
Behold, I see the heavens opened, and The Son Of Man standing on the
right hand of God.
He is risen!
Luke 24;36-48
KJV
36 And as they
thus spake, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto
them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they
were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a
spirit.
38 And He said
unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your
hearts?
39 Behold My
hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a
spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me have.
40 And when He
had thus spoken, He shewed them His hands and His feet.
41 And while
they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, Have
ye here any meat?
42 And they
gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And He took
it, and did eat before them.
44 And He said
unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was
yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written
in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning Me.
45 Then opened
He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said
unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer,
and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in
His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are
witnesses of these things.
John 20:19,20
KJV
19 Then the
same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors
were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews,
came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto
you.
20 And when He
had so said, He shewed unto them His hands and His side. Then were
the disciples glad, when they saw The Lord.
Prayer:
Luke 19:10 KJV
For The Son Of Man is come to seek
and to save that which was lost.
John 1;12,13 KJV
12 But as many as received Him, to
them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

II Corinthians
5:15 KJV
And that He
died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto
themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again.
Matthew 16:24
KJV
Then said Jesus
unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
