Head Of Christ Is God

“The Bible says that God is the head
of Christ, what does this mean, is Christ is lower in nature?...”

Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
I Corinthians 11:3 NLT
But there is
one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the
head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
I Corinthians 11:1-16 NLT (Instructions for Public Worship)
1 And you
should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
2 I am so glad
that you always keep me in your thoughts, and that you are following
the teachings I passed on to you.
3 But there is
one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the
head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4 A man
dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or
prophesying.
5 But a woman
dishonors her head if she prays or prophesies without a covering on
her head, for this is the same as shaving her head.
6 Yes, if she
refuses to wear a head covering, she should cut off all her hair! But
since it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or her head
shaved, she should wear a covering.
7 A man should
not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is made in
God’s image and reflects God’s glory. And woman reflects man’s
glory.
8 For the first
man didn’t come from woman, but the first woman came from man.
9 And man was
not made for woman, but woman was made for man.
10 For this
reason, and because the angels are watching, a woman
should wear a covering on her head to show she is under authority.
11 But among
the Lord’s people, women are not independent of men, and men are
not independent of women.
12 For although
the first woman came from man, every other man was born from a woman,
and everything comes from God.
13 Judge for
yourselves. Is it right for a woman to pray to God in public without
covering her head?
14 Isn’t it
obvious that it’s disgraceful for a man to have long hair?
15 And isn’t
long hair a woman’s pride and joy? For it has been given to her as
a covering.
16 But if
anyone wants to argue about this, I simply say that we have no other
custom than this, and neither do God’s other churches.
“But there is
one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the
head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”
This verse denotes, the oneness of The Son and The Father. And just
as there is a positioning, a hierarchy, between husband and wife, so
too is there between God The Father, and God The Son.
Husband and wife are equally God's children, as God The Father and
God The Son are equal.
Galatians 3:28
KJV
There is
neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is
neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Philippians
2:5-11 NLT
5 You must have
the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
6 Though He was
God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
7 Instead, He
gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form,
8 He humbled
Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
9 Therefore,
God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name
above all other names,
10 that at the
name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under
the earth,
11 and every
tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God The
Father.
Christ's Oneness With God The Father:
Luke 22:69,70
NLT
69 But from now
on The Son Of Man will be seated in the place of power at God’s
right hand.”
70 They all
shouted, “So, are you claiming to be The Son Of God?” And He
replied, “You say that I am.”
John 10:30,37,38 KJV
10 I and My
Father are one.
37 If I do not
the works of My Father, believe Me not.
38 But if I do,
though ye believe not Me, believe the works: that ye may know, and
believe, that The Father is in Me, and I in Him.
John 12:45 KJV
And He that
seeth Me seeth Him that sent Me.
John 14:7-10 KJV
7 If ye had
known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye
know Him, and have seen Him.
8 Philip saith
unto Him, Lord, show us The Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith
unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not
known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen The Father; and how
sayest thou then, Show us
The Father?
10 Believest
thou not that I am in The Father, and The Father in Me? the Words
that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but The Father that
dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.
John 16:15 KJV
All things that
The Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of
Mine, and shall shew it unto you.
John 17:11,22
KJV
11 And now I am
no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.
Holy Father,
keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given Me, that they
may be one, as We are.
22 And the
glory which thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one,
even as we are one:
Our Lords subordination, is an act of willful submission to The Father, an open indication of his submissiveness to The Father.
Our Lord, who is equal and one with The Father, is subservient to
Him, by choice.
John 6:38 KJV
For I came down
from heaven, not to do Mine own will, but the will of Him that sent
Me.
Is that your
desire today, to be found in the will of God?
God's Will:
II Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not
slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is
long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance.
Prayer:
John 1;12,13 KJV
12 But as many as received Him, to
them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
