Bible Questions Answered:
“...how much time do we have to read
the bible every week...?...”

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Scientists tell us that the human body
(young and healthy), can go anywhere from 3-8 weeks without food, and
go some 3-10 days without water (again depending upon age, weight,
etc of a healthy individual), and 3 minutes without air.
But man is not just a fleshly body...
I Thessalonians 5:23 KJV
And the very God Of Peace sanctify
you wholly; and I pray God your whole
spirit and soul and body be
preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 139:14 KJV
I will praise thee; for I am
fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my
soul knoweth right well.
Man not only has a body, and spirit,
but a soul as well, and yes, the soul needs nourishment as well as
the body does, however its nourishment is not of the flesh but of the
spirit.
We know how to preserve our bodies,
that is, there are things it should have, and then again, there are
thing that it shouldn't have, as they would, harm the body.
Do you realize you may,...harm
your own soul?
Proverbs 8:36 KJV
But he that sinneth against Me
wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate Me
love death.
Romans 8:35,36
NLT
35 For whoever finds Me finds Life
and receives favor from The Lord.
36 But those who miss Me injure
themselves. All who hate Me love death.”
Romans 2:8-11
KJV
8 But unto them that are
contentious, and do not obey The Truth, but obey unrighteousness,
indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon
every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of
the Gentile;
10 But glory, honor, and peace, to
every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the
Gentile:
11 For there is no respect of
persons with God.
Psalm 23:3 KJV
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me
in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Psalm 30:3 KJV
O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul
from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to
the pit.
Psalm 25:1 KJV
Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my
soul.
Psalm 33:20 KJV
Our soul waiteth for The Lord: He is
our help and our shield.

Nourishment:
Deuteronomy 8:3 KJV
And
He humbled thee, and suffered (permitted)
thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not,
neither did thy fathers know; that He might make thee know that man
doth not live by bread only, but by every Word that proceedeth out of
the mouth of The Lord doth man live.
Job 23:12 KJV
Neither
have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed
The
Words Of His Mouth more than my necessary food.
Psalm 119:18,162 KJV
18
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy
law.
162
I rejoice at thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil.
Nehemiah 8:1-12 NLT
1
all the people assembled with a unified purpose at the square just
inside the Water Gate. They asked Ezra the scribe to bring out the
Book of the Law of Moses, which The Lord had given for Israel to
obey.
2
So on October 8 Ezra the priest brought the Book of the Law before
the assembly, which included the men and women and all the children
old enough to understand.
3
He faced the square just inside the Water Gate from early morning
until noon and read aloud to everyone who could understand. All the
people listened closely to the Book of the Law.
4
Ezra the scribe stood on a high wooden platform that had been made
for the occasion. To his right stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah,
Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah. To his left stood Pedaiah, Mishael,
Malkijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
5
Ezra stood on the platform in full view of all the people. When they
saw him open the book, they all rose to their feet.
6
Then Ezra praised The Lord, the great God, and all the people
chanted, “Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they
bowed down and worshiped The Lord with their faces to the ground.
7
The Levites—Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai,
Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and
Pelaiah—then instructed the people in the Law while everyone
remained in their places.
8
They read from the Book of the Law of God and clearly explained the
meaning of what was being read, helping the people understand each
passage.
9
Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the
Levites who were interpreting for the people said to them, “Don’t
mourn or weep on such a day as this! For today is a sacred day before
The Lord your God.” For the people had all been weeping as they
listened to the words of the Law.
10
And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich
foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have
nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be
dejected and sad, for the joy of The Lord is your strength!”
11
And the Levites, too, quieted the people, telling them, “Hush!
Don’t weep! For this is a sacred day.
12
So the people went away to eat and drink at a festive meal, to share
gifts of food, and to celebrate with great joy because they had heard
God’s words and understood them.
Matthew 4:3,4 KJV
And
when the tempter came to Him, he said, If thou be The Son Of God,
command that these stones be made bread.
4
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

us this day our daily bread.
John 6:32-35;
41,58,50,51,58 KJV
32
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave
you not that bread from heaven; but My Father giveth you The True
Bread From Heaven.
33
For The Bread Of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth
Life unto the world.
34
Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this Bread.
35
And Jesus said unto them, I am The Bread Of Life: he that cometh to
Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never
thirst.
41
The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said,
I
am The Bread Which Came Down From Heaven.
48
I am that Bread Of Life.
50
This is The Bread Which Cometh Down from Heaven, that a man may eat
thereof, and not die.
51
I am The Living Bread Which Came Down From Heaven: if any man eat of
this Bread, he shall live for ever: and The Bread that I will give is
My Flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
58
This is that Bread Which Came Down From Heaven: not as your fathers
did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this Bread shall live
for ever.
The Word Of The Lord, is spiritual nourishment to our
souls.
