Bible Lesson: Titles Of The Church:
Church Title: New Jerusalem.
Bible Text:
Revelation 21:1-7 KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new
earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and
there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a
bride adorned for her Husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of
heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will
dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall
be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former
things are passed away.
5 And He that sat upon the throne
said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for
these words are true and faithful.
6 And He said unto me, It is done. I
am Alpha And Omega, The Beginning And The End. I will give unto him
that is athirst of the fountain of the water of Life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit
all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.
After the great
white throne judgment (Revelation 20:11), when all sin has been
judged and sentenced, The Lord will create a new heaven and and a new
earth.
Isaiah 65:17 KJV
For, behold, I create new heavens
and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come
into mind.
Isaiah 66:22 KJV
For as the new heavens and the new
earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith The Lord, so
shall your seed and your name remain.
II Peter 3:13
KJV
Nevertheless we, according to His
promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth
righteousness.
Revelation 21:1 KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new
earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and
there was no more sea.
Because there will
be no kind of sin in this new heaven and new earth, wherein dwelleth
righteousness, there will be “no,” need of any sea.
Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, He will have
compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast
all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Revelation
21:2,3 KJV
2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a
bride adorned for her Husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of
heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will
dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall
be with them, and be their God.
The New Jerusalem
is beautiful, because she as a bride is adorned for her husband. All
redeemed shall be there.
The New Jerusalem
is beautiful because there is no sin there, or ever will be.
The New Jerusalem
is beautiful because there will never be any tears, or sorrow and
crying, sickness or death, there will only be the joy of The Lord.
Isaiah
51:3 KJV
"...like
Eden...like The Garden Of The Lord; joy and gladness
shall
be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
The New Jerusalem
is beautiful because The Lord will forever be with His people.
I Corinthians
2:9 KJV
But as it is written, Eye hath not
seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
Revelation
4:1-11 NLT
1 Then as I looked, I saw a door
standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke
to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I
will show you what must happen after this.”
2 And instantly I was in The Spirit,
and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.
3 The one sitting on the throne was
as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow
of an emerald circled His throne like a rainbow.
4 Twenty-four thrones surrounded
Him, and twenty-four elders sat on them. They were all clothed in
white and had gold crowns on their heads.
5 From the throne came flashes of
lightning and the rumble of thunder. And in front of the throne were
seven Torches with burning flames. This is
The Sevenfold Spirit Of God.
6 In front of the throne was a shiny
sea of glass, sparkling like crystal. In the center and around the
throne were four living beings, each covered with eyes, front and
back.
7 The first of these living beings
was like a lion; the second was like an ox; the third had a human
face; and the fourth was like an eagle in flight.
8 Each of these living beings had
six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside
and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,
“Holy, holy, holy is The Lord God,
The Almighty— The One Who Always Was,
Who Is, And Who Is Still To Come.”
9 Whenever the living beings give
glory and honor and thanks to the one sitting on the throne (the one
who lives forever and ever),
10 the twenty-four elders fall down
and worship the one sitting on the throne
(The One Who Lives Forever And
Ever). And they lay their crowns before the throne and say,
11 “You are worthy, O Lord our
God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all
things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”
Read about The New
Jerusalem in Revelation chapters 21, and 22.
Why would someone
name their church a New Jerusalem, church, they would because it is a
piece of heaven, Jesus is there, the people of God are there and it
is there The Spirit Of God moves and works among His people.
II Peter 3:12-14
KJV
12 Looking for and hasting unto the
coming of The Day Of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be
dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His
promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth
righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that
ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him
in peace, without spot, and blameless.
John 6:37 KJV
All that The Father giveth Me shall
come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.
Romans 10:13 KJV
For whosoever shall call upon the
name of The Lord shall be saved.
I John 1:9 KJV
If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
