Bible Lesson: Titles Of The Church: Church Title: Lamb's Wife

Bible Lesson: Titles Of The Church:

Church Title: Lamb's Wife

Bible Text:

Revelation 19:5-9 KJV
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for The Lord God Omnipotent Reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of The Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of
The Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

John 1:29 KJV (John the baptist)
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold The Lamb Of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 1:36 KJV (John the baptist)
And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he saith, Behold The Lamb Of God!

The pure sacrificial Lamb Of God, was The Lord Jesus Christ, His wife is the body of born-again believers from Calvary to the rapture (I Corinthians 15:51-58/ I Thessalonians 4:13-18) She is the true, blood washed church of Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 6:11 KJV
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of The Lord Jesus, and by The Spirit Of our God.

Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV
25 "...Christ loved the church. He gave up His life for her
26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s Word.
27 He did this to present her to Himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.

Titus 3:5 KJV
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of The Holy Ghost;

Revelation 1:5 KJV
And from Jesus Christ, who is The Faithful Witness, and The First Begotten Of The Dead, and
The Prince Of The Kings Of The Earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in
His Own Blood,

“Pastor, if the bride is all believers since Calvary, what about O.T. Believers, where are they?”

That is a good question, and the answer is found in …

John 3:29 KJV (John the baptist)
He that hath the bride is The Bridegroom: but the friend of The Bridegroom, which standeth and heareth Him, rejoiceth greatly because of The Bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

John the baptist was the last Old Testament prophet, and he called himself the friend of The Bridegroom. Old testament believers, are the attendants at the wedding, (as well as all believers after the rapture of the church.).

A person who is present, as at a meeting.
Being present or in attendance; accompanying.

It was the eastern custom, for a bridegroom, to have a procession of his family or friends, traveling at midnight, torches in hand, to the brides home and then to take her to his fathers house, where the wedding would take place.

Are you ready, for His secret coming?

Matthew 25:1-13 KJV
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet The Bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While The Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, The Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, The Bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein The Son Of Man cometh.
