Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Psalm 1:1 KJV
Blessed* is the
man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in
the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalm 32:1 KJV
Blessed* is he
whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
*Blessed-Hebrew:Esher (Eh-sher): Happiness, blessed, happy.
(Same word for both verses.)
What seems as a
glaring incongruity, is easily understood, when one realizes that the
word blessed is translated as, happy.
Certainly the man
who lives a righteous life is, happy.
Certainly the man
who's sins have been forgiven is overly happy!
