Bible Lesson: Prayers Of Jesus: Ending The Day With Prayer.

Location: A Mountain In Bethsaida.

Lesson: Each Day Should Be Started And Ended With Prayer.

Bible Texts:

Matthew 14:23 KJV
And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart (alone) to pray: and when the evening was come, He was there alone.

John 6:15 KJV
When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force, to make him a king, He departed again into a mountain Himself alone.

Homily:
In most orchestral compositions, there exists a special refrain. Oh the work may have its flourishes, its mighty fanfares, but throughout its theme is a recurrent refrain, always bringing it back, from allegro to finale, the recurrent theme is what, is many times most remembered. Whether hauntingly mesmerizing or heavenly uplifting, surrounded from moments of allegro to slargando, the recurrent refrain, brings us back to earth, from where ever the symphony has taken us.

Life is filled with many works every day, and we pray, whether they have been works small or great that they have been works for our Master. And yet one thing and one thing only will bring us back to our course, our theme in life of the straight and narrow, and that is the recurring refrain of fellowship with our (Abba) Heavenly Father.

Psalm 55:17 KJV
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.

The habit of our Lord, was to pray, pray, and pray.

Matthew 6:6 KJV
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father* which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

*Father-Greek: Pater (Pat-ayr): A “father”, father, parent. / Abba (Ab-bah): Father.

John 1:12,13 KJV
12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

God is only Father to those who are born-again Christians.

John 20:17 KJV
Jesus saith unto...them, I ascend unto My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.

Psalm 66:20 KJV
Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

Proverbs 8:17 KJV (God's promise to those who call upon Him.)
I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall find Me.

Jeremiah 29:13 KJV
And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.

Zephaniah 2:3 KJV
Seek ye The Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of The Lord's anger.
