Holy Spirit-Striving
Bible Questions Answered:
“How does the spirit, stop evil in
all of the world?”
Shelly/ Ottawa, Ontario Canada
Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
II Thessalonians 2:6,7 KJV
6 And now ye know what (Who)
withholdeth that he (the man of lawlessness) might be revealed in his
time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work: only He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out
of the way.
II Thessalonians 2:6,7 NLT
6 And you know what (Who)
is holding him (the man of lawlessness) back, for he can be revealed
only when his time comes.
7 For this lawlessness is already at
work secretly, and it will remain secret until The One who is holding
it back steps out of the way.
Today, whether we
realize it or not, God is at work in the world! God The Holy Spirit,
is fighting against evil throughout the world.
The question is,
how is He doing this?
And the answer is,
He is fighting evil, in and throughout the hearts and lives of all
God's people while striving with an ungodly world!
Galatians 4:6
KJV
And because ye are sons, God hath
sent forth The Spirit Of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba,
Father.
Micah 3:8 KJV
(Micah)
But truly I am full of power by The
Spirit Of The Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto
Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
The Church, the
people of God, are the ones called to go throughout all the world,
and dispel the works of darkness!
Christian people
are the very temples of God The Holy Spirit, for He indwells them,
encouraging them, energizing them, to do the works of God.
I Corinthians
3:16 KJV
Know ye not that ye are the temple
of God, and that The Spirit Of God dwelleth in you?
Matthew 28:18-20
KJV
18 And Jesus came and spake unto
them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father, and of The Son,
and of The Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all
things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you
always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16:15 KJV
And He said unto them, Go ye into
all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Luke 12:12 KJV
For The Holy Ghost shall teach you
in the same hour what ye ought to say.
Power of The Holy
Spirit:
Zechariah 4:6
KJV (Zechariah)
Then he answered
and spake unto me, saying, This is The Word Of The Lord unto
Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,
saith The Lord Of Hosts.
Christians
empowered:
Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after
that The Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto
Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
God The Holy
Spirit, strives against sin, in the life of the believer and the
world.
Genesis 6:3 KJV
And The Lord said, My Spirit shall
not always strive* with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days
shall be an hundred and twenty years.
*Strive-Hebrew;
Diyn (Deen)/ Duwn (Doon): Contend,
execute (judgment), Judge, minister judgment, plead (the
cause), at strife, strive.
Noah, a man of God,
preached righteousness for 120 years to to the antediluvians (people
before the flood). During that time, The Spirit Of The Lord,
contended, pleaded, strove with them, to hear
The Word Of God,
repent, follow righteousness, and not be lost. But they would not
listen, and the flood took them all away.
Today, as Noah of
old, Christian, we are God's warning voice in the world!
There is absolutely
“not,” anyone, known as a “closet-Christian!”
All Christian
people, everywhere are called to confess their faith!
Romans 10:8-11
KJV
8 But what saith it? The word is
nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, The Word of
faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.
11 For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
I John 4:15 KJV
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus
is The Son Of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
