Dispensationalism
Bible Questions Answered:
“I have friends who say the Lord's
prayer is for the millennial kingdom, and is not for now, and so they
do not pray it. ….”

Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
Matthew 6:9-13 KJV (The Lord's
Prayer.)
9 After this manner therefore pray
ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will
be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we
forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
People who are
“Dispensationalists,” do not pray The Lord's Prayer. They
say that the words Kingdom, refer to the future Millennial Kingdom.
They maintain that “ And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors.” is the keeping of The Law, and not of grace.
The fact is that
Christians have prayed The Lord's Prayer since it was given.
When Christ spoke
of The Kingdom, He spoke of The Kingdom Of God. We must be born again
for entrance to that kingdom.
Our Savior is
King Of kings and Lord Of lords.
I Timothy
6:14,15 KJV
14 "...our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 "...who is The Blessed And
Only Potentate, The King Of kings, and Lord Of lords;
Revelation 17:14

and The Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord Of lords, and King
of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and
faithful.
Revelation 19:16
KJV
And He hath on His vesture and on
His thigh a name written, King Of kings, And Lord Of Lords.
The Kingdom
Of Grace:
Mark 1:14,15 KJV
14 Now after that John was put in
prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom
of God,
15 And saying, The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe
the gospel.
Luke 8:1 KJV
And it came to pass afterward, that
He went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the
glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with Him,
John 3:3,5 KJV
3 Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God.
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I
say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of The Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Romans 14:17 KJV
For the kingdom of God is not meat
and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in
The Holy Ghost.
Our sins today,
have been forgiven (not by the keeping of the law, but) by the blood
of Christ.
Matthew 26:28
KJV
For this is My Blood Of The New
Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Acts 20:28 KJV
Take heed therefore unto yourselves,
and to all the flock, over the which The Holy Ghost hath made you
overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with
His own Blood.
Romans 5:9 KJV
Much more then, being now justified
by His Blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Hebrews 9:14 KJV
How much more shall The Blood Of
Christ, who through The Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot
to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve The Living
God?
I Peter 1:18,19
KJV
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were
not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your
vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with The Precious Blood Of
Christ, as of A Lamb without blemish and without spot:
I John 1:7 KJV
But if we walk in the Light, as He
is in The Light, we have fellowship one with another, and The Blood
Of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Revelation 1:5
KJV
And from Jesus Christ, who is The
Faithful Witness, and The First Begotten Of The Dead, and The Prince
Of The Kings Of The Earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from
our sins in His own Blood,
Revelation 7:14
KJV
And I said unto him, Sir, thou
knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great
tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in The
Blood Of The Lamb.
Justification is
through faith in the finished work of Christ:
Romans 3:20,28
KJV
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law
there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the
knowledge of sin.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man
is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Galatians 2:16
KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified
by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we
have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the
faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of
the law shall no flesh be justified.
Philippians 3:9 KJV
And be found in Him, not having mine
own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the
faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
