Romans 11:32 KJV

Bible Questions Answered:
“You talk about a loving god, the bible talks about a god who has imprisoned us in sin! What about that?...”
Peter/ Seafore, Delaware (U.S.A.)

Bible Text Referred To:
Romans 11:32 NRSV
For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that He may be merciful to all.

Bible Answer:
The Apostle Paul, explains through his teaching.

Bible Text:
Romans 11:31-36 KJV (Apostle Paul)
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded* them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of The Lord? or who hath been His counselor?
35 Or who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto Him again?
36 For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

*Concluded-Greek: Sugkatabaino (Soong-kat-ab-ah'ee-no): To descend in company with: go down with.

Galatians 3:21-25 KJV (Apostle Paul)
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded* all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

*Concluded-Greek: Sugkatabaino (Soong-kat-ab-ah'ee-no): To descend in company with: go down with.

Our holy God, certainly has not put sin in the hearts of men, this we have done on our own!

Sin: Mans Doing Or God's:

Job 25:4-6 KJV
4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in His sight.
6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

Isaiah 53:6 KJV
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and The Lord hath laid on Him (Christ) the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV (Solomon)
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Romans 3:10,23 KJV (Apostle Paul)
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 KJV
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

I John 1:8-10 KJV
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

I John 5:19 KJV
"...the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Origin Of Sin:

Genesis 3:6 KJV
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Psalm 51:5 KJV
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Matthew 15:18-20 KJV
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man..."

James 1:15 KJV
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 4:1 KJV
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

Has God Imprisoned All Of The Earth, Under Sin?
Never!

Romans 11:32 NRSV
For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that He may be merciful to all.

Romans 11:32 KJV
For God hath concluded* them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all.

*Concluded-Greek: Sugkatabaino (Soong-kat-ab-ah'ee-no): To descend in company with: go down with.

*Concluded-Greek: Sunkleio: To shut up with, shut up, (inclose, shut).

Homily:
When a man is hauled into court to answer for the crime of murder, is the death, the Judge's fault?
Of course not, how ludicrous, it is the defendants, and the court will prove or not prove his guilt, and sentence!

Did God pronounce a sentence of sin upon the world?
What a preposterous evil thought, and out right lie of hell!

James 1:13,14 KJV
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Well, what then the imprisonment?
Simple, it is sinful, self-imprisonment!

Romans 1:24-27 NLT (The Apostle Paul)
4 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.
25 They traded The Truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of The Creator Himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.
26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.
27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

Romans 1:24-27 KJV
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed The Truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than
The Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Self-Judgment.

Romans 1:32 KJV
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

And The Result:

Romans 3:9,10 KJV
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Galatians 3:22 KJV
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

In the prison house of sin, God out of His mercy and love, sent the world the Good News of hope and salvation.

Romans 3:22-25 NLT
22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood..."

John 3:14-21 KJV
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must The Son Of Man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of The Only Begotten Son Of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth The Light, neither cometh to The Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth Truth cometh to The Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Isaiah 42:5-10 KJV
5 Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I The Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee..."
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am The Lord: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth..."
