Yahweh And Elohim, Separate Individuals?
Bible Questions Answered:
“Pastor, we wonder if you could help
us out with this question, a brother in our bible group, maintains
that every time the name Elohim appears in the Old Testament, it
refers to the father, and that every time the name Yahweh, appears,
it refers to Jesus. Is this right thinking?...”

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
No, it is an error to even think such
a thought.
This kind of thinking originates with
those who wish to make the trinity, three separate and distinct
persons.
Matthew 28:19 KJV (Jesus,
instructs, His disciples.)
Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father, and of
The Son, and of The Holy Ghost:
Dear Bible student,
did you see it? The proof that, that kind of thinking is “false.”
It is the word
“NAME.”
Please notice
something, it is in the singular, “not,” in the plural!
That is it does not
say......
Go ye therefore and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the names of The
Father and of
The Son, and The
Holy Ghost.
SINGULAR, because the three are ONE.
“In the name of The Father, and of
The Son, and of The Holy Ghost:”
Are Elohim and Yahweh, used for the
same God? Yes!
Genesis 27:20 KJV
And Isaac said unto his son, How is
it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because
The Lord thy God brought it
to me.
Genesis 27:20 NOG

17 ‘Adonay Yahweh, you made heaven
and earth by your great strength and powerful arm. Nothing is too
hard for you.
18 You show mercy to thousands of
generations. However, you punish children for the wickedness of their

properties, and yet one substance.

For now we see through a glass,
darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I
know even as also I am known.
One day, we as

today seems only an enigma.
