Jerusalem Destroyed
Bible Questions Answered:
“Jerusalem is surrounded by armies
are they going to be annihilated?”
Randolf/ Cologne, Germany (North
Rhine-Westphalia)
Bible Answer:
Dual Prophecy, by Jesus.
Luke 21:20 KJV
And when ye shall see Jerusalem
compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luke 21:20 NLT
“And when you see Jerusalem
surrounded by armies, then you will know that the time of its
destruction has arrived.
In the sixth
century B.C. Nubuchadnezzar and his army, destroyed Jerusalem, and
drove its people into exile.
In 70 A.D. the
Roman Emperor Titus destroyed Jerusalem, killing some 1,100,000
people, and taking some 97,000 as slaves.
(Historian
Josephus.)
And this prophecy
of Jesus is still yet future.
Because of the
barbarism of Syria against its own people, armies have surrounded it.
Some to stop any further aggression, some to protect the
perpetrators. Some of these countries have vowed to throw Israel into
the sea.
Tribulation
Destruction of Jerusalem:
Matthew 23:37-39
KJV
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that
killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how
often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen
gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto
you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not
see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in
the name of The Lord.
Matthew 24:15-28
NLT
15 “The day is coming when you
will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about—the sacrilegious
object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.”
(Reader, pay attention!)
16 “Then those in Judea must flee
to the hills.
17 A person out on the deck of a
roof must not go down into the house to pack.
18 A person out in the field must
not return even to get a coat.
19 How terrible it will be for
pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days.
20 And pray that your flight will
not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
21 For there will be greater anguish
than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great
again.
22 In fact, unless that time of
calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will
be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.
23 “Then if anyone tells you,
‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t
believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and
perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even
God’s chosen ones.
25 See, I have warned you about this
ahead of time.
26 “So if someone tells you,
‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go
and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it!
27 For as the lightning flashes in
the east and shines to the west, so it will be when
The Son Of Man comes.
28 Just as the
gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs
indicate that the end is near.
Mark 13:14-23

14 “The day is
coming when you will see the sacrilegious object that causes
desecration standing where he should not be.” (Reader, pay

will be greater anguish in those days than at any time since God
created the world. And it will never be so great again.
20 In fact,
unless The Lord shortens that time of calamity, not a single person
will survive. But for the sake of His chosen ones He has shortened
those days.

23 Watch out! I
have warned you about this ahead of time!
Luke 19:41-44
NLT (Jesus Wept over Jerusalem.)
41 But as He
came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, He began to weep.
42 “How I wish
today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But
now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.
43 Before long
your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you
and close in on you from every side.
44 They will
crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies
will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not accept
your opportunity for salvation.”
Luke 21:20-24
KJV
41 And when he
was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If
thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things
which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days
shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about
thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay
thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they
shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest
not the time of thy visitation.
Revelation
19:11-21 NLT (A Rider on a White Horse.)
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and a
white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and
True, for He judges fairly and wages a righteous war.
12 His eyes were like flames of
fire, and on His head were many crowns. A name was written on Him
that no one understood except Himself.
13 He wore a robe dipped in blood,
and His title was The Word Of God.
14 The armies of heaven, dressed in
the finest of pure white linen, followed Him on white horses.
15 From His mouth came a sharp sword
to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He
will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice
flowing from a winepress.
16 On His robe at His thigh was
written this title: King Of All Kings And Lord Of All lords.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in
the sun, shouting to the vultures flying high in the sky: “Come!
Gather together for the great banquet God has prepared.
18 Come and eat the flesh of kings,
generals, and strong warriors; of horses and their riders; and of all
humanity, both free and slave, small and great.”
19 Then I saw the beast and the
kings of the world and their armies gathered together to fight
against the one sitting on the horse and His army.
20 And the beast was captured, and
with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the
beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the
beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false
prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
21 Their entire army was killed by
the sharp sword that came from the mouth of the one riding the white
horse. And the vultures all gorged themselves on the dead bodies.
Hebrews 4:7 KJV
"...To day if ye will hear His
voice, harden not your hearts.
