Prayer Request: Tacloban, Philippines

Prayer Request:

Tacloban, Philippines- hit by typhoon Haiyon, with 175 mph winds and tsunami-like, walls of water, have left thousands homeless without food or water, and hundreds are dead.

Hundreds of the suffering beg for flights out on military transport planes.
Islands for hundreds of miles have suffered devastating damage and loss.

Bloated corpses of the dead, along with those of animals, lie everywhere. Roads are blocked with debris, and good drinking water is hard to find. In and around Tacloban, some 1,000 armed forces are trying to restore order and prevent looting, with an evening curfew.

Aide has already reached Tacloban from the United States, by C-130 transport planes loaded with supplies, along with a 747 jetliner with relief goods, and four MV-22 Ospreys with food and medicine, also four ships from America are on their way loaded with food, medicine and doctors to help.

Help has also been promised from Australia, and Japan.

These dear people need our prayers and our support.

The Lord also will be a Refuge for the oppressed, a Refuge in times of trouble.

Psalm 34:19 KJV
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but The Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 37:39,40 KJV
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of The Lord: He is their Strength in the time of trouble.
40 And The Lord shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

Psalm 46:1 KJV
God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present Help in trouble.

Psalm 50:15 KJV
And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.

Isaiah 43:1-3 KJV
1 But now thus saith The Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel (God's people), Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither
shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am The Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior..."

John 16:33 KJV
These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

In Times Of Trouble What Should We Do?

Believe God's Word.

Romans 8:28,35,37-39 KJV
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Pray:

James 5:13 KJV
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray..."

Ephesians 6:18 NLT
Pray in The Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Do Not Become Discouraged:

I Corinthians 10:13 MSG
No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; He’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll always be there to help you come through it.

Give Thanks For Your Heavenly High Priest, Intercessor:

Luke 22:31,32 KJV
31 And The Lord said, Simon, Simon (true for the people of God), behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not..."

Romans 8:34 KJV
"...It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at The Right Hand Of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Receive Peace, Comfort, Grace And Mercy That Comes From The Lord:

John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

II Corinthians 1:2-4 KJV
2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT
14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus The Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.
15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses (and all our trials), for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.
16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
