Christian Stand

Bible Questions Answered:
“...pastor I can't believe that some people have come out against team players for using Christian gestures out on the field. And then when I heard about  it someone told me it was someone from a religious organization that had objected I could not believe it. What do you say?”
Ted/ Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Bible Answer:
Christians on the whole, are asleep, as our Saviour said they would be.
Matthew 25:5 KJV
While the Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Now is the time for Christians to shine as never before, and we can because, never before has our world been so spiritually dark.

Matthew 5:10-16 KJV
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Thank God, for every Christian, who will stand “UP,” and be counted! Whether it be on the baseball field, the workplace, down at the mall, or political rally!

In the United States, it use to be, that a Christian, could, in the work place, wear a cross on a chain around their neck. A Christian man, could wear a cross pin on his shirt.
That use to be, now if you try that you more than likely will be fired. And how is it in your country?
When Christians, hid in the closet, darkness over takes the land.

When was the last time you took your Bible to work with you, that good size Bible with the gilt edges?
And read from it on your lunch break? And carried it downtown, with you?
No, Sunday, going to church, does not count.

If you are a Christian, what is your answer? Your answer, reflects the  condition of the Christian church today.

Matthew 10:33 KJV
"... whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

Mark 8:38 KJV
If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Luke 6:22,23 KJV
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Romans 1:16 KJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

I Timothy 4:10 KJV
For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

II Timothy 2:12 KJV
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us:

Hebrews 11:24-27 KJV
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible.

Hebrews 13:12-14 NLT
12 So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make His people holy by means of His own blood.
13 So let us go out to Him, outside the camp, and bear the disgrace He bore.
14 For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.

I Peter 4:12-14,16 KJV
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of Glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.
16 "...if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

Christian, now is the time to stand.
Now is the time to encourage others to stand as well, and to thank others who are not afraid to be known as followers of Jesus Christ.

John 9:4 KJV (Jesus)
I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
