Bible Lesson: End Time-False Church
Our Lord gives us a view of the End Time false church, in Matthew 7:22-23. Preceding these verses,our Lord warned that only those who enter by the Stait Gate will find life, and that men are known, not by what they say, by what they own, by their power or prestige, or nobility that they may have, but by their works.
Matthew 7:13-23 KJV
[13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Last-Day Sign in the church....
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Where do people stand and say "Lord, Lord," why in a church of course!
Inside the Last-Day church, there will be many who profess to know God!
There is only one problem-our Lord says He does not, know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
Well then who can enter the kingdom of heaven?
"he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
The old saying is so true! “Talk is cheap.”
It's not what we say, that get's us into the kingdom of heaven!
Many will say, in these last days that they know God, or that they even speak for God.
But it, “Ain't Necessairly So!”
Walking into a garage to pick up my car, doesn't make “me,” a mechanic.
Visiting a sick friend in the hospital, doesn't make me a doctor.
And being in a church doesn't necessairly make me a Christian!
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
That word “Lord,” is the Greek word Kurios: meaning, Supreme in authority, “Master.”
Jesus says here, many will say it, but what they claim is a lie!
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Friend, BEWARE, BEWARE, who you listen to, and take instruction from! Jesus warned....
[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
It's not the one who says “Lord, Lord, alone...that will enter the kingdom of heaven.....
“but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
What is the “Will of the Father, who is in heaven?”
It is to make Jesus “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords,” not in word only but by the “Fruits of our lives!”
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits.
strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life,
A Sign of the End-Time Church is....
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in thy name?
Where is Prophecy found, why of course in the Church!
In the Apostle Paul's listing of spiritual gifts, it is gift number six.
I Corinthians 12:4-10 KJV
[4] Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
[5] And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
[6] And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
[7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
[8] For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
[9] To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
[10] To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
A Prophets message was a spiritual message stating the will of God, and so calling men to it.
Our Lord warns that there are many False Prophets: (Who teach lies)
Deuteronomy 13:1-5 KJV
[1] If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
[2] And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
[3] Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
[4] Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
[5] And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
Deuteronomy 18:22 KJV
[22] When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Jeremiah 14:13-15 KJV
[13] Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.
[14] Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
[15] Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
Matthew 24:11 (Christ's signs of the Last-Days.)
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mark 13:21-23 KJV
[21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
[23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Matthew 7:

A last-day sign in the church will be False Prophets, Jesus said so. (False Teachers-not teaching the Word of God, but the traditions of men.)
Another Last-Day sign in the church ....
22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,....
in thy name have cast out devils?
Exorcism in the church!
This Last-Day church Jesus warns us about, has many “Religious-Works.”
But they do not, fool the Lord!
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This one, may take many by surprise!
Isn't Exorcism, a work of the Lord?
Can works of dark and sinister evil, be cloaked in seeming light?
One would certainly think not, and yet, the Word of God tells us ....Yes!
(False brethern in the Apostle Paul's day-like their father the devil.)
II Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV
[13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (not all apostles are of the Lord!)
[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.(not all angels of light come from God!)
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; (not all ministers are of God.)
whose end shall be according to their works.
(Concerning the Deception of the Anti-Christ)
II Thessalonians 2: NLT
1 Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet Him.
2 Don't be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don't believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us.
3 Don't be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.
4 He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.
5 Don't you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you?
6 And you know what (who) is holding him back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes.
7 For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it (him) back steps out of the way.
8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will kill him with the breath of His mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming.
9 This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles.
10 He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.
11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies.
12 Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.
Exorcisms in the church, and yet our Lord says of these Exorcists....
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Another Last-Day Sign in the end time church....
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, ....
in thy name done many wonderful works?
“many Wonderful Works.”
Aren't religious works in the church, Wonderful?
That depends.
If they are “Religious-Works,” to endeavor to win Salvation, then they are “Works-Of-The-Devil!”
Jesus said so!
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Church Membership, Confirmation, Endowments,Baptism, Dedication, etc..etc....cannot earn our Salvation!
What a tragedy, that Christ the very Son of God, would have to come and die on a cruel cross, when all one would have to do is...have himself baptized..etc...etc...
Never!
None of these can save anyone!
Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Those words “Not of works,” means “Religious Works.”
Oh how sinful man who refuses to bow the knee to the Saviour would so gladly supplant some form of religious works, in place of repentance and faith.
And oh how the false church boasts of making “Children of God,” out of countless “Religious Works ( no matter how pious and grand.)”
Communions, Prayers, Baptisms, Blessings, Confessions, Confirmations, Memberships ..etc..etc...etc...
Without genuine repentance and faith (in the finished work of Christ, alone) are a false Salvation.
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith (In the forever finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, who was offered up “once” and for all);
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (God's Son the Lord Jesus):
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 3:24 KJV
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

[6] For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
[7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
[8] But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[9] Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Titus 3:5-7 NLT
5 He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
7 Because of His grace He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life."
Galatians 2:16 NLT
“...a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”
I Peter 1:18-20 NLT
18 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom He paid was not mere gold or silver.
19 It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
20 God chose Him as your ransom long before the world began, but He has now revealed Him to you in these last days.
