Halloween

“I have a question, as a Christian, should we participate in giving out candy on halloween? Thank you.”

Bible Answer:

As Christians we have a heavenly high calling, and that is to be Ambassadors for The Lord Jesus Christ.

II Corinthians 5:20 NLT

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

Yes, give out the candy, but be sure for every handful of candy you dole out, a gospel tract goes with it.

Halloween:

Halloween, brought to the world by the Druids, Celts from Northern Europe. Their fall festival fell on November 1st. Christians created All Saints day to fall on the same day as was the pagan festival (All Souls Day, November 2nd).

Not to be outdone, the pagans reversed their festival to October 31st.

What was Halloween? Ancient Celtic tribes, the Britons, Scots, Gauls, Irish, celebrated the end of summer, beginning of fall with sacrifices to Saman (Shamhain).

Who was Saman, he was the Druid (Baal) god of death and evil spirits.

On October 31st, all dead spirits who were under the control of Saman, and who had forced them to inhabit the bodies of animals, gave them release to go back to their homes to visit the living.

Druid priests at that time rounded up animals and had them burnt as an offering to Saman (Shamhain).

Caesar wrote of the Druids before Christ; "Druids...hold that the wrath of the immortal gods can only be appeased, and man's life redeemed, by offering up human sacrifice, and it is a part of their national institutions to hold fixed soleminities for this purpose.'

Someone has duly noted that in England, three miles from Stonehenge (Druid's stone circle) there are no less than 350 burial mounds, containing the bodies of sacrificed humans.

Because of the known release of dead spirits, the Druids, dressed up in animal customs to scare the spirits away.

If All Saints Day, and All Souls Day, are a time to remember the godly dead, certainly Halloween is All Satan's day!

Everything about Halloween is dark and evil, and no Christian person, should have anything to do with it!

Tradition says of carved pumpkins, that having one on the doorstep was a sign to satanists, that one held to their beliefs, and so they should not put a curse on that house.
