Bible Answers:

The Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, addressed what follows after death, e.g.

Luke 12:15-20 KJV
[15] And He said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
[16] And He spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
[17] And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
[18] And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
[19] And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
[20] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

After Death, judgment.
This the idea the Apostle Paul gave in...

Hebrews 9:27 KJV
[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

The Lord Jesus said that after the rich man died, he faced judgment, his living days on earth were over, and now he would go to the reward, he had coming.

The Lord Jesus again gave us a view of this action in the true account of Lazarus and the rich man.

Luke 16:19-31 KJV
[19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
[20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
[21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
[22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
[23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
[24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
[25] But Abraham said, Son (fellow Jew), remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
[26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
[27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
[28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
[29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
[30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
[31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Much could be said about this true story, but we have mentioned it in other writings.
But we mention it now to show that the Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, plainly taught that after death, the soul of man faces it's eternal reward, whether it be good or evil.

The beggar, Lazarus, was taken into Paradise (Abraham's Bosom).
The Rich man died, and was immediately in hell and in torment.

The beggar, Lazarus (whose name means in Hebrew: Elazar: God is my helper), though poor, sick and diseased, was received into Paradise.

The Rich man who had cared only for himself all his life, while having a blind eye to those in need, found himself in hell, and torment.

Hebrews 9:27 KJV
[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

Mankind has one life to decide his direction for eternity, and only one opportunity.
To believe anything else, is to believe in second chance salvation, which is a lie from satan.

The rich men of Luke 12:15-20/ and Luke 16:19-31, had no opportunity to undue their past, nor will anyone else.

These are the words of God's own Son.

The Clock
The Clock of life is wound but
once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.

To lose one's wealth is sad indeed.
To lose one's health is more.
To lose one's soul is such a loss
That no one can restore.

Matthew 16:26 KJV
[26] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
