Bible Questions Answered:
“Pastor, recently we read in the
newspaper of a family that had lost two of their children, because of
illness. No special thing, except, that they prayed for their
recovery and waited for days instead of taking them to a doctor. Now
they are facing jail time, because it is said they did not properly
take care of their children. I know this is a controversial subject
but would you say a word or two on it?”

Bible Answer:
Oh how the enemy would love to destroy,
the church and Christian people!
Ridicule their faith, and Christian
practices!
Satan, hates God, who will one day
throw him into the lake of fire, and Christian people, for they are
in God's image.
The answer to this situation is
actually very simple, and not complicated, and should be followed by
Christian people every where!
But first some questions.
John 2:1-10 KJV
1 And the third day there was a
marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2 And both Jesus was called, and His
disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they wanted wine, the
mother of Jesus saith unto Him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what
have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 His mother saith unto the
servants, Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it.
6 And there were set there six water
pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews,
containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the
water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And He saith unto them, Draw out
now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had
tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but
the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast
called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at
the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk,
then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Question: How
long did it take for the water to become wine?
Luke 5:1-11 KJV
1 And it came to pass, that, as the
people pressed upon Him to hear The Word Of God, He stood by the lake
of Gennesaret,
2 And saw two ships standing by the
lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their
nets.
3 And He entered into one of the
ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a
little from the land. And He sat down, and taught the people out of
the ship.
4 Now when He had left speaking, He
said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for
a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto Him,
Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:
nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they
inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their
partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and
help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they
began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell
down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man,
O Lord.
9 For he was astonished, and all
that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had
taken:
10 And so was also James, and John,
the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said
unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11 And when they had brought their
ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him.
Question:
How long did it take for the fish to appear in Peter's boat?
Well we could spend
much time going through many more of the miracles of Jesus, but by
now hopefully you understand, that when our Lord speaks a command,
things happen immediately!
It is both right
and fitting that Christians put the Lord first in their
need for help!
But, how long would
it take the Lord to answer? Our Lord can answer any prayer in a
instant!
Isaiah 65:13,24
KJV
13 Therefore thus saith The Lord
God...
24 And it shall come to pass, that
before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet
speaking, I will hear.
Matthew 6:8 KJV
"... for your Father knoweth
what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him."
If someone is sick,
pray! But if that person, young or old is not better after prayer,
call the doctor! You have honored the Lord, and acted responsibility
toward your loved one!
Mark 4:35-41 NLT
35 As evening came, Jesus said to
His disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.”
36 So they took Jesus in the boat
and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats
followed).
37 But soon a fierce storm came up.
High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with
water.
38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of
the boat with His head on a cushion. The disciples woke Him up,
shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
39 When Jesus woke up, He rebuked
the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly
the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.
40 Then He asked them, “Why are
you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
41 The disciples were absolutely
terrified. “Who is this Man?” they asked each other. “Even the
wind and waves obey Him!”
Question:
How long did it take for the wind to stop, and how long was it before
it was calm?
Answer:
Suddenly!
So, we as Christian
people should always put the Lord first, and no it is “not,” lack
of faith if you see no results after prayer to call for help! It is
only common sense, and what the Lord would want you to do! It simply
means that, instant healing is not His will at the time.
There are countless
stories, of and how our Lord has provided for His people in need,
instantly and in miraculous ways.
Psalm 4:3 KJV
But know that The Lord hath set apart him that is godly for Himself: The Lord will hear when I call unto Him.
Always have
gratitude and faith in your heart as you pray, if God
does not do a miracle, it is simply because He has something better
in mind.
And let this also
be said, do not dare to say, that medical healing is not the work
of God! God can heal a person in any fashion He so chooses,
without any suggestion from you or me! And that healing is “no,”
less as miraculous!
Psalm 145:17 KJV
The Lord is righteous in all His
ways, and holy in all His works.
Psalm 147:5 KJV
Great is our Lord, and of great
power: His understanding is infinite.
Isaiah 40:13-15
NLT
13 Who is able to advise The Spirit
Of The Lord? Who knows enough to give Him advice or teach Him?
14 Has The Lord ever needed anyone’s
advice? Does He need instruction about what is good? Did someone
teach Him what is right or show Him the path of justice?
15 No..."
Isaiah 46:9,10
KJV
9 Remember the former things of old:
for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none
like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the
beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure:
Isaiah 55:8,9
KJV
8 For My thoughts are not your
thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith The Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than
the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than
your thoughts.
Daniel 2:20 KJV
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be
the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His:
Romans 11:33,34
KJV
33 O the depth of the riches both of
the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments,
and His ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of
The Lord? or who hath been His counselor?

2:16 KJV
For who hath known the mind of The
Lord, that he may instruct Him?..."
