Bible Text:
Proverbs 10:22 KJV
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh
rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.
Proverbs 10:22 NLT
The blessing of the Lord makes a
person rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
We must find the truth in the Word of
God.
God's blessings do not bring
sorrow!
Genesis 24:34,35 NLT
34 “I am Abraham’s servant,”
he explained.
35 “And the Lord has greatly
blessed my master; he has become a wealthy man. The Lord has given
him flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, a fortune in silver
and gold, and many male and female servants and camels and donkeys.
Genesis 26:12-14 NLT
12 When Isaac planted his crops that
year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for
the Lord blessed him.
13 He became a very rich man, and
his wealth continued to grow.
14 He acquired so many flocks of
sheep and goats, herds of cattle, and servants that the Philistines
became jealous of him.
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy
God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth..."
Psalm 68:19 KJV
Blessed be the Lord, who daily
loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
Proverbs 8:21 KJV
That I may cause those that love Me
to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
Matthew 6:25-34 KJV
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no
thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor
yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than
meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for
they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your
Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought
can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for
raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil
not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even
Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the
grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the
oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought,
saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal
shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do
the Gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have
need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the
morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
James 1:17 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect
gift is from above, and cometh down from The Father Of Lights, with
whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
God's blessings, without number, do not
themselves bring sorrow, but that does not say, that we as
Christians will not have sorrow in the world, we will!
John 16:33 KJV (Jesus)
These things I have spoken unto you,
that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Sorrow comes from one of two
origins.
Chastisement from God (Which is
the result of our sins, sorrows, we have brought upon ourselves. God
out His great love of love corrects us. He lovingly does this to stop
us from “self-destruction.”)
Hebrews 12:5-11 NLT
5 And have you forgotten the
encouraging words God spoke to you as His children? He said, “My
child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t
give up when He corrects you.
6 For the Lord disciplines those He
loves, and He punishes each one He accepts as His child.”
7 As you endure this divine
discipline, remember that God is treating you as His own children.
Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?
8 If God doesn’t discipline you as
He does all of His children, it means that you are illegitimate and
are not really His children at all.
9 Since we respected our earthly
fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the
discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?
10 For our earthly fathers
disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But
God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in
His holiness.
11 No discipline is enjoyable while
it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a
peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this
way.
Sorrow, comes from our enemy.
Luke 22:31,32 KJV
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon,
behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift* you as
wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that
thy faith fail not:
*Sift – Greek – Sinazo
(Sin-ee-ad-zo): (A sieve; to sift. (As wheat or corn.)
Ephesians 6:11,12,16 KJV
11 Put on the whole armor of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places.
16 Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts* of
the wicked.
*Darts – Greek – Belos (Bel-os):
A missile, i.e. spear or arrow: dart.
I Peter 5:8 KJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom
he may devour*:
*Devour – Greek Katapino
(Kat-ap-ee-no): To drink down, i.e. gulp entire:-devour, drown,
swallow (up).
