Bible Questions Answered: Revelation-Another

Bible Questions Answered:
I have a friend who says their Bible has a current revelation explaining the scriptures, I am not quite sure what this is.
Alice/ Denver, Colorado U.S.A.

Bible Answer:
Have noting to do with it!
And the reason, because the Bible says so!

The Bible, alone is the Word of God:

Deuteronomy 8:3 KJV
And He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Joshua 1:8 KJV
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

II Samuel 22:31,32 NLT
31 “God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.
32 For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid Rock?

I Kings 8:56 KJV
Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto His people Israel, according to all that He promised: there hath not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised by the hand of Moses His servant.

Psalm 12:6 KJV
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Psalm 19:7-11 KJV
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Psalm 119:9-12;50,89,105 KJV
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Proverbs 30:5,6 KJV
5 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
6 Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Isaiah 40:8 KJV
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Matthew 5:18 KJV
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 7:24 KJV
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a Rock:

Matthew 24:35 KJV
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

Luke 11:27,28 NLT
27 As He was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “God bless your mother—the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!”
28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

Luke 21:33 KJV
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away.

John 5:24,39 KJV
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.

John 8:31,32 KJV
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the Truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 15:3 KJV
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

John 17:8,17 KJV
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send Me.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 20:31 KJV
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.

Romans 7:12 KJV
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it;
26 That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 6:17 KJV
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

II Timothy 3:15-17 KJV
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Hebrews 4:12 KJV
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I Peter 1:25 KJV
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

II Peter 1:19-21 KJV
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; where unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

We must believe the gospel, alone, and live it:

Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 KJV
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Galatians 1:6-12 KJV
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto
another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:18,19 KJV
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Now here is a very interesting event, it is the temptation of Eve by the serpent in the garden of Eden.

Genesis 3:1-8 KJV
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

The enemy, brought doubt concerning the meaning of God's Word.

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

The enemy, never said that God, didn't speak, but that Eve did not interpret His true meaning correctly, a meaning he did know, and was glad to share, a proper interpretation, an addendum to His word.

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The enemies interpretation: God's true meaning was, that the day you eat thereof, your ignorance will die, and your knowledge, knowledge such as He has, in you will become alive!

To have the “knowledge of good and evil,” to eat of its fruit, was to possess it, and so God had warned not, to eat it (Genesis 2:15-17 KJV).

Fact: What Eve gained was the knowledge of evil, her and Adam, already had the knowledge of good.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

The eyes of man, his (spiritual) pupils, open, when they are in the dark, Adam and Eve had entered into the knowledge of the dark, and it was evil.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

In their knowledge of evil, they became partakers of evil, fear, being their new acquaintance.

Here is another interesting event, it is the temptation in the desert of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 4:1-11 KJV
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

The tempter comes to tempt us in our need.

4 But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Our Lord, rebuked the tempter, by stating that man shall live (spiritually) by the "Bread," the very words that come from God.

John 6:63 KJV
"...the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life."

5 Then the devil taketh Him up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto Him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give His angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

If thou be the Son of God,” doubt, the tool, the enemy used so well with Eve.
No one knew better than he, that Jesus was God's Son.
Lucifer, himself being a fallen, disgraced angelic being, and so he knew well, the angelic code of heaven.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

The enemy, tempts man (as he did Eve) to do that which God has forbidden.
Our Lord, never did "works for show," He did the works of the Father in heaven.

John 4:34 KJV
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work.

8 Again, the devil taketh Him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto Him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

The one thing our enemy wishes above all, is worship.

Isaiah 14:13,14 KJV
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Yet, in the future...

II Thessalonians 2:3,4; 9-11 KJV (Abomination of Desolation.)
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Exodus 20:3-5 KJV
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation..."

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve
11 Then the devil leaveth Him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto Him.

James 4:7 KJV
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Jesus refuted the enemy, by quoting the wonderful, inerrant Word of God!

Oh how our enemy, wishes to “divide and conquer!” He didn't tell Eve there was no God, she knew better. He simply caused doubt, delusion, and finally departure from God's warning.

A deceiving enemy:

II Corinthians 2:11 KJV
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

II Corinthians 11:1-4;13-15 NLT (The Apostle Paul.)
1 I hope you will put up with a little more of my foolishness. Please bear with me.
2 For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ.
3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent.
4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or
a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.
13 These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ.
14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
15 So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Ephesians 6:11 KJV (Verses 11-18, 7 things Paul mentions.)
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Revelation 12:9 KJV
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Brethren, keep as precious the wonderful Word of God!
Rebuke the enemy.

I John 4:4 KJV
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
