Bible Questions Answered: Salvation - Unlimited

Bible Questions Answered:
Our ….......church teaches that “the elect,” are saved, and others lost.
Rae/ Amsterdam, Netherlands

Bible Answers:

Though this theology has been taught by some, what does the Word of God say?

I) Luke 19:10 KJV
For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Well, sounds fairly clear, who is lost?

Psalm 53:3 KJV
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Isaiah 53:6 KJV
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3:23 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

I John 1:8 KJV
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

II) John 1:29 KJV
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto Him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world*.

World-Kosmos (Greek: kos-mos), world wide.

3) John 3:14-21 KJV
[14] And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: (See Numbers 21:4-9 below.)
[15] That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[16] For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

In Numbers 21:4-9
[4] And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
[5] And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
[6] And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
[7] Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that He take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
[8] And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
[9] And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass,
that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

In Moses day, the person who voluntarily choose to look, at the fiery serpent upon the pole, lived.
Those who choose not to look, died.
Jesus says it is the same with spiritual salvation through looking to Him, and Him alone...verse 15 “ That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

4) John 4:40-42 KJV
[40] So when the Samaritans were come unto Him, they besought Him that He would tarry with them: and He abode there two days.
[41] And many more believed because of His own word;
[42] And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard Him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

5) I Timothy 4:10 KJV
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God,
who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

6) Hebrews 2:9 KJV
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with Glory and Honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every* man.

* Every (Greek: Pas), Every, the whole, whosoever.

7) Romans 5:6 KJV
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

8) Romans 5:18 KJV
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

9) I John 2:2 KJV
And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also
for the sins of the whole world.

10) Matthew 24:14 KJV (Call of the Gospel to all.)
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

11) Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

12) Mark 13:10 KJV
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

13) Mark 16:15 KJV
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

14) Luke 24:47 KJV
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name
among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

15) Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

16) Revelation 14:6 KJV
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

The call of the gospel, the door to salvation is open to any and all, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
