Bible Questions Answered: Outer Space

Bible Questions Answered:
I'm wondering just what God thinks of our planning to go back to the Moon and, to Mars.
And one hundred years from now, who knows just where man will be in the universe.

Bible Answers:
God's command to Noah and his sons after the flood was...
Genesis 9:1
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

But mankind is not listening to the commands of God.

Noah's great grandson, Nimrod, a mighty hunter, builder and, ruler, and no doubt party to
the tower of Babel.

Genesis 11:1-9 KJV
[1] And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
[2] And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
[3] And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
[4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Open Rebellion, to God's Command.)

[5] And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
[6] And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

[7] Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
[8] So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
[9] Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Mankind, born under sin, always goes astray from God's command.

Jeremiah 17:5,9 KJV
[5] Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
[9] The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

" And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."

Now, no flood would be able to destroy them, they would make a name and city for themselves that would mount up to the very heavens!

Oh how familiar that sounds to ....

Isaiah 14:12-15 KJV (Dual prophecy, of the King of Babylon and Lucifer.)
[12] How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
[13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
[14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
[15] Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Ezekiel 28:15-19 KJV (Dual prophecy, of the King of Tyrus and Lucifer.)
[15] Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
[16] By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
[17] Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
[18] Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
[19] All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Sinful man, guided by arrogance and, self interests, knows not the blessing of God.

Psalm 12:3,4 KJV
[3] The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
[4] Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

Proverbs 8:13 KJV
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Isaiah 13:11 KJV
And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

A tower greater, than Nimrod, could have ever dreamed of, is being attempted by various countries of this world.

Orbiting space cities, not answering to mans earthly laws or customs. Globe trotting space travelers, carefully observing the laws of relativity, while pooh-poohing God's laws of morality and righteousness.

Genesis 11:4
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

And what saith the Lord?

Amos 9:1,2 KJV
[1] I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and He said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
[2] Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

Amos 9:1,2 NLT
1 Then I saw a vision of the Lord standing beside the altar. He said,
“Strike the tops of the Temple columns,so that the foundation will shake. Bring down the roof on the heads of the people below. I will kill with the sword those who survive. No one will escape!
2 “Even if they dig down to the place of the dead, I will reach down and pull them up. Even if they climb up into the heavens, I will bring them down.

Obadiah 4 (Does this verse mean anything to you America?)
Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

The first manned, vessel on the moon was the "The Eagle."
John Armstrong's words, forever remembered, "The Eagle, has landed." (Tranquility Base)

Long before, the God of all eternity saw the arrogance of man, and He said..."though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD."

What, is man so desperately searching for?
Other forms of life, they say.

The Apostle Paul mentions hosts of other forms of life (Alien, fallen, evil angelic-life) in his letter to the Ephesians.

Ephesians 6:10-12
[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against

principalities, against
powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Apostle certainly knew of which he spoke, for he had passed into the third heaven where God's throne is.
II Corinthians 12:2 Paul had been stoned to death at Lystra.

The First Heaven: Earths Atmospheric covering.
The Second Heaven: The starry Heaven or universe.
The Third Heaven: Heaven, God's throne.

John 12:31 KJV
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

II Corinthians 11:13-14 KJV
[13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

I Timothy 4:1 KJV
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Revelation 16:14 KJV
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Colossians 2:15 KJV
And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2:13-15 NLT
13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins.
14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
15 In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.

Revelation 9:11 KJV
[11] And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon

Revelation 20:2 KJV
[1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Man is looking for answers, other than God, and the deceiver is more than ready, to accommodate them.

II Corinthians 4:3,4 KJV
[3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
[4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I Peter 5:8 KJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

James 4:7 KVJ
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I John 4:1-21 KJV
[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

[2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

[4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

[5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
[6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

[7] Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth
God.
[8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[9] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
[10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
[11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
[12] No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us.
[13] Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.
[14] And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
[15] Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
[16] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
[17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.
[18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
[19] We love Him, because He first loved us.
[20] If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
[21] And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
