For Help, To The One Who Hears And Answers Prayer.

Acts 4:23-31 NLT
23 As soon as
they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and
told them what the leading priests and elders had said.
24 When they
heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices
together in prayer to God:
“O Sovereign Lord, Creator
Of Heaven And Earth, The Sea, And Everything In Them—
25 you spoke long ago by The
Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying,
‘Why were the nations so
angry? Why did they waste their time with futile plans?
26 The kings of the earth
prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against The Lord
and against His Messiah.’
27 “In fact, this has
happened here in this very city! For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate
the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were all united
against Jesus, your Holy Servant, whom you anointed.
28 But everything they did was
determined beforehand according to your will.
29 And now, O Lord, hear their
threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your
Word.
30 Stretch out your hand with
healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the
name of your Holy Servant Jesus.”
31 After this
prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with The
Holy Spirit. Then they preached The Word Of God with boldness.
Peter and John had been jailed because they were preaching about
Jesus, The Resurrected Lord, The Son Of God. Peter had raised a
cripple man at the temple, and people were eager to hear about The
One who had healed a cripple of some 40 years.
Peter and John were imprisoned, and threatened never to preach in the
name of Jesus again, then they were released.
When the church body received them back, they prayed the prayer found
in verses 24-30.
The God who had saved them, heard them, and gave them just what they
needed.
Acts 4:29-31 NLT
29 And
now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great
boldness in preaching your Word.
30 Stretch out your hand with
healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the
name of your Holy Servant Jesus.”
31 After this
prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with The
Holy Spirit. Then they preached The Word Of God with boldness.
Friends, this was “not,” the baptism of The Holy Spirit!”
The baptism of The Holy Spirit is given to all who become
believers in Christ Jesus!
Who says so? The Apostle Paul and The Lord Jesus say so!
I Corinthians

For by one
Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or
Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to
drink into one Spirit.
“Well pastor, what was it in these verses (29-31) that the
disciples received, who were for some time now (already) Christians?
Luke 24:49 KJV tells us the answer!
And, behold, I
(Jesus) send The
Promise Of My Father (God The
Holy Spirit) upon you: but tarry ye in the city of
Jerusalem, until ye be endued with Power From
On High.
This “endument of Power”, was from
God The Holy Spirit.
And with what results?
Acts 4:30,31 NLT
30 ”...miraculous signs and wonders be done through the
name of your Holy Servant Jesus.”
31 “...Then they preached The Word Of God with boldness.
God had answered their prayer.
