Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
The gospel of John has been called “the
gospel of rejection,” because of the many times The Lord Jesus was
rejected.
John 1:11 KJV (The
Jews of Israel.)
He came unto his own, and His own
received Him not.
John 3:10,11,32
KJV (Jesus spoke to the Jew,
Nicodemus, a teacher of the law.)
10 Jesus answered and said unto him,
Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye
receive not our witness.
32 And what He hath seen and heard,
that He testifieth; and no man receiveth His testimony.
John 5:43 KJV
(To the Jews.)
I am come in My
Father's name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his
own name, him ye will receive.
John 12:37 KJV
(Much more signs, and miracles than just the six listed in this book.)
But though He had done so many
miracles before them, yet they believed not on Him:
Jesus
The Son Of God, rejected of men:
Isaiah 53:3 KJV
He is despised and rejected of men;
A Man Of Sorrows, And Acquainted With Grief: and we hid as it were
our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
Matthew 8:34 NLT
Then the entire town came out to
meet Jesus, but they begged Him to go away and leave them alone.
Mark 6:3 KJV
Is not this The Carpenter, The Son
Of Mary, The Brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and
are not His sisters here with us? And they were offended at Him.
Luke 4:28-30 KJV
28 And all they in the synagogue,
when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust Him out
of the city, and led Him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city
was built, that they might cast Him down headlong.
30 But He passing through the midst
of them went His way,
Luke 23:13-18
NLT
13 Then Pilate called together the
leading priests and other religious leaders, along with the people,
14 and he announced his verdict. “You brought this Man to me,
accusing Him of leading a revolt. I have examined Him thoroughly on
this point in your presence and find Him innocent.
15 Herod came to the same conclusion
and sent Him back to us. Nothing this Man has done calls for the
death penalty.
16 So I will have Him flogged, and
then I will release Him.”
18 Then a mighty roar rose from the
crowd, and with one voice they shouted, “Kill Him, and release
Barabbas to us!”
Why do men reject The Savior?
I Corinthians
2:14 KJV
But the natural man receiveth not
the things of The Spirit Of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
John 8:24 KJV
I said therefore unto you, that ye
shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He (Jesus,
The Son Of God), ye shall die in your sins.
John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am The Way,
The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto The Father, but by Me.
Dear friend, do not
reject your only Savior?
Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.
John 3:16-18 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that
He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the
world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be
saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of The Only Begotten Son Of God.
Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that
whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.
