Bible Questions Answered: Christian Character.

Bible Questions Answered:
“..and why those others who say but not act christian how can this be?”
Shaan/ Indore, India

Bible Answer:

Why don't Christian people, act like Godly People?
Good question!

James addressed Jews, who thought being born a Jew, was to be automatically in the Kingdom of God.

James 3:12 NLT (Read the whole chapter.)
Does a fig tree produce olives, or
a grapevine produce figs? No, and
you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.

No, all needed to be born again, as Jesus said, and to “show” fruits of righteousness (Matthew 7:15-23.)
How can a Christian, partake of UN-Christian actions and or events?

Here is a very interesting scripture.

Judges 16:16-21 KJV
16 And it came to pass, when she (Delilah) pressed him (Samson) daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

Can the Spirit of the Living God, depart from a person?
Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist, to realize that to depart, assumes at one point, the Spirit of God, had to be in the life of Samson, but “now,” was not!

Christian people, who drag the name of the living Christ, through the mire of this world will find one day, unrealized by them, until too late, as Samson, “that the Lord (has) departed from (them).”

Hebrews 10:26-31 NLT
26 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.
27 There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume His enemies.
28 For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.
30 For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back."He also said, “The Lord will judge His own people.”
31 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The Lives Of Christian People Should Be:

Holy:
Leviticus 20:7 KJV (I Peter 1:15,16)
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

Without Condemnation:
Romans 14:12,13 NLT
12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.
13 So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

A Burden Bearer:
Galatians 6:2,3 NLT
2 Share each others burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.

Tolerant Of Others:
Ephesians 4:2 NLT
Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each others faults because of your love.

Tender Hearted:
Ephesians 4:32 NLT
"...be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Edifying Others:
I Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
"So encourage each other and build each other up..."

Concerned For Others:
Hebrews 3:13 NLT
You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

Encouraging Others:
Hebrews 10:24 NLT
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

Loving All:
I John 3:23 NLT
And this is His commandment: We must believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
