Bible Lesson: Thanksgiving.

The Word of God, tells us as Christians, that we of all people, should be a Thankful, people!

* What should we give thanks for?

I Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Ephesians 5:20 KJV
And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Everything? What about the tragedies?

Romans 8:28 KJV
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Isaiah 55:8,9 KJV
8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Romans 11:33,34 KJV
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His counselor?

* Give thanks for God's mercy.

Where, would we be, if it were not for the mercy of God?

Psalm 107:1 KJV
O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.

Ephesians 2:4-7 NLT
4 But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much,
5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
6 For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

* We must give thanks to God, for His “unspeakable Gift.”

* Give thanks that God hears and answers prayer!
