Bible Lesson: Angels And Their Work Part II

Angels, give aide to the people of God:
Psalm 91:9-11 KJV
[9] Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
[10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
[11] For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Hebrews 1:14 AMP
14 Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?

Angels will carry out God's directives at the final judgment:
Matthew 13:41-42; 49,50
[41] The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
[42] And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
[49] So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
[50] And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Angels will come with the Lord Jesus at His Second Coming:
II Thessalonians 1:7,8 KJV
[7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
[8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Angels sing of the Glory of God:
Revelation 5:11,12 KJV
[11] And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
[12] Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive Power, and Riches, and Wisdom, and Strength, and Honour, and Glory, and Blessing.

Angels can control the forces of nature.
Revelation 7:1 KJV
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Angels will seal the 144,000 believing Israelites.

[2] And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a

their foreheads.
[4] And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four
thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Angels sound (seven) trumpet judgments
Revelation 8:2 KJV
And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

Angels, cast Satan, and his angels out of heaven (Greek- Ouranos: Sky, Air.)
Revelation 12:7,8 KJV
[7] And there was war in heaven (Ouranos): Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
[8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

Angels help the people of God, proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14:6 KJV
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Angels will tell of the fall of Babylon.
Revelation 14:8 KJV
[8] And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Revelation 18:1-2 KJV
[1] And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Angels tell of the judgment awaiting those who receive the mark of the Anti-Christ.

[9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
[10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
[11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Angels pour out bowel judgments.
Revelation 16:1 KJV
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

Angels announce the battle of Armageddon.

[17] And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
[18] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
[19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army.
[20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
[21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

An Angel, chains and throws Satan into the bottomless pit.
Revelation 20:1,2 KJV
[1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Angels protect the new heaven and new earth.
Revelation 21:12,25,27 KJV
[12] And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
[25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
[27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Angels are the faithful servants of God, who carry out His will.
They proclaim, God's messages, unleash judgments, and protect the people of God.
