Bible Type-Adam

Bible Questions Answered:
“Pastor thank you for your Bible page. I was wondering if you could tell me why it is that Adam was taken from the soil, while Eve was taken from a rib? Thank you.”
Nicholas/ New York, New York U.S.A.

Bible Answer:
The answer is the foreknowledge of God.
This is of course is what prophecy is made of.

God's Foreknowledge:
Isaiah 42:9 KJV
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Isaiah 46:10 KJV
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure:

The Creation Of Adam:
Genesis 2:7 KJV
And The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Adam was created first.
God gave him his name. He, in the garden of Eden, was to …

Genesis 2:15 NLT
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.

How long Adam was in existence before Eve was created....we do not know.

The Creation Of Eve:
Genesis 2:21-23 KJV
21 And The Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which The Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

I Timothy 2:13 KJV
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

Adam, named his wife, Eve, saying....

Genesis 3:20
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Now, we must look at this verse and ask, when did Adam say it, and with what knowledge did he possess?

First of all, Adam said it after the fall.
Second, he did not say it with perfect knowledge, for if he had it, he would have realized that …, someone was created before Eve!

Adam was first created.
Adam, was created from the soil.

Genesis 2:7 KJV
And The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Adam, is the first life giver!

Adam, is the first one to give birth to another, sorry, no, it was “not,” Eve.
Eve, was birthed from the side of Adam.
Friends if you think this is nonsense, or trivial pursuit, think again, and again, for it is not!+

The Lord Jesus Christ is called “The Last or Second Adam.”

I Corinthians 15:45 NLT
The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit.

Eve's birth from the side of Adam, was a prophetic look into the bride of Christ's creation!
Our blessed and most precious Savior, birthed the church from His side!

John 19:34 KJV
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

I John 5:6 KJV
This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is The Spirit that beareth witness, because The Spirit is Truth.

I Corinthians 15:22 KJV
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

The church, was born from the water and blood of the second Adam, Jesus Christ.
He gave her birth!
She owes her existence, to Him!

I Corinthians 12:12-27 KJV (The Body Of Christ.)
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked.
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Adam ...
Genesis 2:23 KJV
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Of the Second Adam, Paul said...
Ephesians 5:30 KJV
For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.

Acts 20:28 KJV
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which The Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood.

Romans 12:4,5 KJV
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Ephesians 1:22,23 KJV
22 And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 5:23 KJV
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is The Head Of The church: and He is The Savior of the body.

Colossians 1:18 KJV
And He is The Head Of the body, The Church: who is the beginning, The Firstborn From The Dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.

Colossians 2:19 NLT
"...Christ, The Head Of The Body. For He holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.

The Body of Christ/ The Bride of Christ:

John 3:29 KJV
He that hath the bride is The Bridegroom..."

II Corinthians 11:2 KJV
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one Husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Revelation 19:7 KJV
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of The Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 21:2 KJV
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband.

Eve's call was to be one with her husband and....

Genesis 1:28 KJV (Adam and Eve's call.)
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion..."

Today, the church of The Lord Jesus Christ is spiritual Eve.
The Lord Jesus has given us life from His very side, in death.

Our calling like Eve's of old is to “Be fruitful, and multiply.” Spiritually bringing life into the kingdom of God!

Romans 7:4 KJV
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Mark 16:15,16 KJV
15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved (born-again); but he that believeth not shall be damned.
