Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
Mark 4:11,12 KJV
11 And He said unto them, Unto you
it is given to know the mystery* of the kingdom of God: but
unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not
perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any
time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven
them.
*Mystery: Greek,
Morphosis (Mor-fo-sis): Appearance, (formation), form.
(Something to be
made known.)
This
not referring to Christ keeping secrets...
John 18:20 KJV
Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever
taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews
always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
Christ was speaking of Divine Revelations. Things only foreshadowed
under the Old Covenant are plainly seen in the New Covenant, things
that should be made known.
I Corinthians 2:5,6,10 NLT (Apostle Paul)
5 I did this so
you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.
6 Yet when I am
among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the
kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this
world, who are soon forgotten.
10 But it was
to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His
Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
Ephesians
3:3,6,8,9,19 NLT
3 As I briefly
wrote earlier, God Himself revealed His mysterious plan to me.
6 And this is
God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share
equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of
the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they
belong to Christ Jesus.
8 Though I am
the least deserving of all God’s people, He graciously gave me the
privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures
available to them in Christ.
9 I was chosen
to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator Of
All Things, had kept secret from the beginning.
19 May you
experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand
fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life
and power that comes from God.
Evil men, who reject the Savior, walk in darkness and, deception,
because of their choosing sin.
One cannot embrace Light and Darkness together. Light will chase
darkness away, and darkness exists only where there is no light.
John 12:35-41
KJV
35 Then Jesus
said unto them, Yet a little while is The Light with you. Walk while
ye have The Light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh
in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36 While ye
have Light, believe in The Light, that ye may be the children of
Light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself
from them.
37 But though
He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on
Him:
38 That the
saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake,
Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath The Arm Of The
Lord been revealed?
39 Therefore
they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40 He hath
blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not
see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be
converted, and I should heal them.
41 These things
said Esaias, when he saw His glory, and spake of Him.
I Corinthians
1:23-31 KJV
23 But we
preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto
the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto
them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ The Power Of God,
and The Wisdom Of God.
25 Because the
foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is
stronger than men.
26 For ye see
your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh,
not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath
chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God
hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which
are mighty;
28 And base
things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen,
yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no
flesh should glory in His presence.
30 But of Him
are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us Wisdom, and
righteousness, and Sanctification, and Redemption:
31 That,
according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in The
Lord.
Isaiah 6:9 KJV
And He said,
Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see
ye indeed, but perceive not.
Matthew 13:10-17
KJV
10 And the
disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speakest thou unto them in
parables?
11 He answered
and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the
mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For
whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more
abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even
that he hath.
13 Therefore
speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing
they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them
is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall
hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall
not perceive:
15 For this
people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing,
and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see
with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with
their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But
blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I
say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to
see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear
those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
The disciples, believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and to them, our
Lord revealed the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, even the saving
message of the gospel.
Dear friend, are you a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, is He your
Savior, your Lord? If He is, then He too will reveal His word to you!
John 3:12-21 KJV
(Jesus)
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not,
how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man
hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even
The Son Of Man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses
lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must The Son Of Man
be lifted up:
15 That
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so
loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent
not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through Him might be saved.
18 He that
believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of The
Only Begotten Son Of God.
19 And this is
the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved
darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every
one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to The Light,
lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that
doeth Truth cometh to The Light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
